A place where propagate-able plants are given a second chance at life
Share your Home Depot, Lowe's, and general floor finds here! If it's less than a full plant, you're going to propagate it, and it didn't come from a curated public plant we'd love to see it!
If you have any questions about what to do with your props regarding stage-by-stage, look no further! It's all in this Google Doc I made!
Wondering if your prop is crested? Is your pup looking a little weird with clustered sprouts? Take a peek at this Google Doc and find out!
**As of 28th of March 2018, we now allow and encourage propagations of plants that are not succulents! Show it all off here! Anything you can propagate goes here.
**As of 1st of November 2019 there will be a minor crackdown on memes and merchandise. Plant merch is cool, but this is a sub for propagation and advice somewhat exclusively. Your fun succulent merch probably works better in /r/succulents or /r/houseplants.
**Please message mods before any competitions or sweepstakes.

They seem to be doing great considering they do not get any natural light to speak of.
I tried to propagate this plant before, maybe 10 cuttings of a variegate plant, i fail miserably, all of them. I tried water and soil prop.
That's was a long time ago, now i know i should change the water more consistently and use better soil (i bought a very bad soil, it was kinda like mud).
I cut and let it callous for one day before plant it with my Dieffenbachias Green Magic, also a prop, and gonna keep an eye in this cutting. I've propagated a lot of plants and this one is the only one that i couldn't do it.
I have no idea how many cuttings there are, other than about 10 each of pink and white.

What did I do wrong and how can I improve next time?
Long story short, I'm absolutely allowed to do it. As a matter of fact, I've been allowed to take the Very Sad Monstera home as a whole. Unfortunately:
I'm 150 cm tall, AFAB, with zero weightlifting experience and/or ability;
the Very Sad Monstera's pot is large and quite heavy;
the Very Sad Monstera is, once again, very sad and obviously needs to be repotted.
How exactly do I transport the Very Sad Monstera, given its condition is already not the best and it's -14°C outside? Is it better to take it with the pot ( :( ) or cut it (and how)?
UPD: thanks everyone, the Very Sad Monstera's been dismembered and coming home!
Almost all my props are in soil at this point so of course I needed to refill the nursery.
Today's acquisitions. I just have them in damp moss for right now.
this is a cutting i got from a monstera, and it’s been sitting in that propagation station for about ~5 months. there was a second one, but that one died a few weeks after i got it. this cutting hasn’t yellowed or anything, but it also hasn’t grown an inch, it’s literally stayed the exact same since i put it in there. this is my first time propagating anything, so i’m wondering if there’s something else i should be doing to make it grow? or if this is normal for a monstera cutting? it’s just so stagnant lol
Help! It’s dying. What do I do???? I’ve had it for a couple years with no problems. I either damaged it repotting or repotted incorrectly but where do I go from here? Unpot and unwind? And…?
Any hope for this cutting? I think it’s prairie blazing star. It’s from a funeral arrangement. We’re in zone 6b. I’d love to give it more life.
I chopped and propped my huge, topheavy FLF and recently even posted how happy I was with all the new leaf sprouts on the chopped bottom half. Every leaf it has grown has been so mini- I put my hand in the photo for comparison, but it’s just a small lady hand lol. The leaves it used to put out were longer than half my arm- is it ever going to “grow up” again, or do I now have a miniature FLF? So weird.
I have an FLF(Fiddle-Leaf Fig) that was grown to be very tall. Recently moved into a new house where the ceilings are not vaulted and am almost 100% sure my plant won’t fit without bending. Can these be pruned to be shorter and then grow tall again? Once pruned, how easy is it to prop the cuttings?
