In honor of Halloween, what was your favorite Halloween and/ or creepy episode??
I’ll start, my favorite Halloween episode has to be the first one we see!! I loved all the flashback episodes. We got to see inside their relationship with Ali a little more and got to see how Ali used their insecurities and blackmailed them for her own personal gain!
My creepy episodes however, are the ones on Ravenswood. That storyline always creeped me out. Like why was that down black and white? Don’t even get me started on Mrs. Grunwald lmao.
Let me know what your favorite episodes are. Happy Halloween 🎃 👻
If you haven't seen season 3 episode 12, this won't make any sense. When lyndon James has Emily in the light house, they get into a physical altercation with a knife, and it ends in Emily stabhing him, and he's on the ground. But then we hear gunshots when Caleb comes up there with the gun he has. We are led to believe that lyndon shot Caleb if I'm not mistaken. But how does that make sense if he's already dead on the ground? I'm sure I'm thinking way too hard about this, but I literally just watched this part, and it doesn't make sense to me.
Sorry if this has been discussed many times before, but does anyone know who the young girl(Maddie Ziegler) who Spencer saw in her dream was supposed to be? I'm rewatching right now and was just wondering if the girl was supposed to be somebody we knew.
I'm rewatching the show right now and just realized, I don't think single character went to jail for a crime they actually commited. How is it that literally almost every character has murdered someone, attempted to murder someone, or helped murder someone, but no one actually goes to jail for for something they did...
I never got the Aria hate especially since I didn’t know she was one of the most hated liars/characters prior to joining this sub. I know the thing that most people complain about is how we don’t know much about her apart from Ezra..I saw a few people comment about they writers never dove into her as an individual. As in Spencer is the academic overachiever, Hannah is the fashionista, Em is the Athletic one and Aly is the IT mean girl. But I always thought Aria to be the artistic/creative one especially since we know her lover for reading, photography and her edgy pink streaks and overall style in the earlier seasons (so sad they styled her differently after ☹️). And I know unlike the other liars most of her plot line revolves around Ezra, but I think it was genius to do so as it relates to her daddy issues and the plot twists that came with their plot was INSANE. So since she’s one of if not my favourite liar I just wanted to know how come she’s so hated?
Can we talk about how awful of Ali it was to ask the liars to forgive CeCe and tell the court to let her out. At one point she even says something along the lines of “We all went through it [CeCe’s torture] together.” Like girl correct me if I’m wrong I did not see your ass getting psychologically abused and physically deprived among all the other years of torture in which Ali was not present for. Sure if she wants to forgive CeCe for accidentally almost killing her, leading to her being buried alive, be my guest. But to ask the girls and act like what she went through was equal to what they went through was crazy. What’s crazier is this is when Ali is supposed to be nice because the show didn’t know how to write Ali’s character after Sasha gained weight due to her pcos.
What do you think of Ali’s character? I think the only truly consistent thing in that damn show is her selfishness.
Just watched the final episode. I loved that they were all finally happy, not being tortured anymore, finally moving on and building their lives, etc. But every time I’ve watched the final episode I get really sad. It’s weird, I know but I really can’t explain why. Very sweet ending though. 💕
I actually liked Spencer and Caleb together and I’m ASHAMED 😣😣😣😣 esp as a hannah fan, she was my fav and her and Caleb had me all giggling and smiling but I still loved Spencer and Caleb bec the chemistry was there and the worst part is usually, I’m not a fan of situations where a character dates her bsf’s long term ex but IDK Spencer and Caleb just felt right??? and it doesnt end here, i wanted them to end up together SUE ME okay bye, that was my confession !😭
He's just as prominent of a character as someone like Caleb, who was a "main cast" member since season 3. Even Ashley remained a cast member throughout the series, despite being in only 3 episodes the last season.
she looks fine asf as a cop ngl 🤭
She got to the 5 years later part and knows they’re all broken up with their partners…. but I fear we’re going to lose her. She has no clue…
for me its mona, aria and hanna
I replied to another post on this a while back that ended up getting deleted, but figured I would make my own about it, so here's my mini rant about it.
I really don't get why everyone treats the scene where Andrew tells off the Liars after they escape from the Dollhouse as some triumphant moment for him.
It was wrong for the Liars (specifically Aria) to lie to the police that he was Charles, and they're not saints by any means, but they literally just escaped from the Dollhouse. They just escaped from being tortured in an underground bunker by an unknown person for several weeks. They're still dealing with PTSD from that and everything else they've been through. Again, that doesn't make it right, but it's understandable that they'd just want the perpetrator to be caught so they can move on with their lives.
Plus, nobody asked Andrew to be this big hero that would save them from their kidnapper and he was acting really weird with the scenes of him listening in on phone calls. It wasn't his place to get involved, so he really has no right to get mad when he does all of this and everyone (including the Rosewood Police) ends up suspecting him.
I'd love to hear what you guys think about this.
Just the title. To me it was probably the whole predatory thing where every man in their 20s seemed to be so drawn to 16 year olds. It looked so normal back then and now I'm sure any show that would try to pull it would be frown upon.
What else?
If yall have not got to the final yet don't read the comments - A.D.
I think that their relationship before the time jump is absolutely disgusting…but for some reason I actually really love them together after the time jump. Even with the knowledge that he groomed her as a teenager, I just think they have great chemistry and are a good match in the end. I love watching them write the book together. I hate that there is such an icky start to their romance, but out of everyone Aria was with I think Ezra is the best fit for her.
Just wanted to say thank you SO much to the people who participated, the results came out super interesting!
Unsurprisingly, Hanna and Spencer were both really close with
- Spencer 40.4%
- Hanna 36.8%
- Aria 8.8%
- Emily and Alison at a tie of 5.3%
- Mona 3.5%
My take:
Super unsurprising, however I thought a lot more people liked Mona. Either way it was very close with the results fluctuating a lot as time went along between Hanna and Spencer. Hanna is my favourite!
- 41.7% No
- 35% kind of
- 15% only in the last seasons
- 8.3% Yes
My take:
This kind of did surprise me, as I thought at least in the last seasons she was a lot more involved with the liars. I personally voted that she was in the last seasons, but I'm super curious if the people who said no could expand on that!
Again, super unsurprising
- 72.9% Mona
- 25.4% Cece
- 1.7% Alex
My take:
That's really the only right way those answers should've looked. I also voted for Mona.
- 35.7% Season 2
- 21.4% Season 1
- 17.9% Season 4
- 16.1% Season 3
- 7.1% Season 5
- 1.8% Season 6
My take:
It's no surprise that the first two seasons were the most liked, however I was relatively surprised to see how much season 4 was voted. I personally voted for season 5 (Yes I know I'm weird) but overall it was pretty surprising to see that the votes were pretty even. I am glad no one chose season 7.
This warranted some great replies!

- 1 person said the first episode of season 5 (5x01)
- 46.6% Aria
- 36.2% Alison
- 13.8% Spencer
- 1.7% tied between Hanna and Emily
My take:
Considering everyone wanted Aria to be Uber A it was no surprise at all, I also voted for her! Alison being second was also not surprising. The results were pretty much how I expected, however I didn't expect it to be so close!
- 53.3% Ashley
- 20% Veronica
- 15% Wayne
- 6.7% Pam
- 1.7% tied between Ella, Tom and Peter
My take:
Um... Tom???? If you voted for Tom PLEASE tell me why I am genuinely very intrigued. Peter I can excuse to his complex characterisation and I really thought Ella would get a lot more votes, but TOM???? Anyway other than that, Ashley dominating was not surprising, nor was Wayne and Veronica being a second choice. I of course voted for Ashley.
- 56.7% Yes
- 23.3% Some of it
- 20% No
My take:
If you haven't read the books I highly recommend it! I have read them, and imo they are a lot better!
- 72.9% Caleb
- 8.5% Travis
- 6.8% Lucas
- 5.1% Jordan
- 3.4% saying she should've been single
- 1.7% Mike
My take:
Seeing quite a few Lucas and Jordan votes was very surprising, but when I was writing her LIs i realised she doesn't actually have a lot of good ones. Even the minimal amounts of Mike votes was interesting, and I imagine that person chose Mike due to their endgame in the books. Caleb absolutely dominating, as he should. Haleb are my parents ty <3
- 69.5% She should've been single
- 16.9% Emily
- 8.5% Lorenzo
- 1.7% Holbrook
My take:
Holbrook is... interesting. If you chose Holbrook I'd love to know why! I was glad most people agreed with my vote that she shoukd've been single. She had a lot to heal from imo and getting into a relationship should've been her last priority.
- 35% Indifferent
- 30% Would've been cute if Mona wasn't A
- 23.3% Love them
- 8.3% Hate them
My take:
I voted that it would've been cute if Mona wasn't A. I personally really dislike the relationship due to Mona being A and giving Mike's sister trauma, therefore him and her getting together was very messed up and Aria should've been more affected than "she's dangerous" if ykwim? Either way I think the results were pretty expected.
- 60.3% Mona
- 17.2% Cece
- 15.5% Toby
- 3.4% Spencer
- 1.7% tied between Aria and Shana (that's an ironic pair)
My take:
Again, pretty expected. Mona is subjectively the best A, however I was expecting a lot more votes for Toby and definitely thought it'd at least be more than Charlotte.
- 25.4% she should've been single
- 18.6% Holden
- 13.6% Ezra
- 10.2% Jake
- 8.5% Jason
- 6.8% Liam
- 3.4% tied between Andrew and Noel
- 1.7% Wes, RIley and (surprisingly) Spencer
My take:
This was definitely one of the most diverse and plentiful amount of results of all the questions. Spencer was a very interesting vote, as she wasn't put as an option. If you voted Spencer I'd love to know why! Other than that, I'm glad the majority of votes was her being single and the rest wasn't too surprising.
- 60% Toby
- 23.3% Alex
- 5% tied between Wren and Marco
- 1.7% tied between Johnny, Caleb and Aria
My take:
No surprise that Toby dominated the other answers. I was very very surprised to see how many votes Alex got, considering I always thought I was the only Spalex girlie but it's great to see there's others that think they should've ended together too!
- 44.1% Maya
- 25.4% Samara
- 8.5% tied between Alison and she should've been single
- 6.8% Paige
- 3.4% Sabrina
My take:
Emily easily has the worst love interests in the entire show, so it was pretty hard figuring out who she should've ended with. Maya and Samara being her biggest options was not at all a surprise to me, however I was surprised that a couple people voted Sabrina.
- 16.9% Ian
- 15.3% Wilden
- 10.2% Lyndon
- 8.5% Jessica DiLaurentis
- 6.8% tied between Wren, Archer, Noel
- 5.1% tied between Cece, Garrett, Maya, Sara, Bethany
- 3.4% Shana
My take:
Definitely the closest amount of votes in the entire questionnaire, Ian however was not the top answer I had expected. I personally voted Bethany just because her death essentially kickstarted the entirety of the show and the pure insanity and absurdity of her character was honestly just entertaining.
- 31% Hanna
- 22.7% Spencer
- 22.4% Emily
- 13.8% Aria
- 3.4% tied between Alison and Mona
- 1.7% Caleb
My take:
I think Hanna being the most voted was very unsurprising. She seemed to be the one of the only characters that really acted like a teenager, plus her body image issues, eating disorders and struggles with identity is something a lot of people can relate to and find empathy in. For those that voted Alison and Mona, I'd love to know why! Those two characters are very interesting to relate to.
- 43.3% Troian
- 18.3% Sasha
- 16.7% Lucy
- 10% tied between Ashley and Shay
- 1.7% I don't know any of them
My take:
I know a lot of people in this fandom love Troian so that wasn't at all a surprise! She is super sweet and smart and basically Spencer. However, I am a sucker for Ashley. Lucy and Sasha being runner ups was definitely a surprise to me.
- 67.2% Caleb
- 24.1% Toby
- 5.2% Ezra
- 3.4% Paige
My take:
Caleb easily deserved his domination of the rest of them. Him and Toby are the only remotely good endgame love interests.
- 61% Haleb
- 18.6% Spoby
- 6.8% Ezria
- 5.1% Emison
- 3.4% Paily
- 3.4% Spaleb
My take:
It was supposed to be between the main couples which is why I didn't include Spaleb, however I'll add it in here just because some people did vote it. I loveee the haleb love and was not at all surprised by the results!
- 44.1% Spencer
- 27.1% Hanna
- 25.4% Emily
- 3.4% Aria
My take:
All of their traumas are very valid -- Aria getting groomed, Emily's physical health jeopardised by A, Hanna and her dad and eating disorder, Spencer and her horrible family. Imo, however, I believe Spencer's was the worst due to her insane family secrets and drug addiction that came up every episode.
It's not letting me add anymore photos so I'll be back guyssss
