I can export the video, but the audio attached to it doesn't play at all. I've tried multiple times. I've looked at the stereo, and I've made sure that V1 audio is not muted. Any help?
I’m working with Adobe Premiere Pro 2024, and I have a subtitle track (.srt) that I’ve imported into my timeline. I want to automatically add markers at the start of each subtitle segment in the timeline without manually placing them one by one.
I've attached a screenshot showing how I’ve been adding the markers manually, but I need an automated way to do this.
What I’ve tried so far: ✅ Using Markers manually (too time-consuming). ✅ Looking for scripting solutions, but Adobe Premiere Pro 2024 no longer supports CEP Extensions easily. ✅ Attempted using UXP Plugins, but couldn’t get it to work properly.
Is there any way (script, plugin, or built-in feature) to automatically place markers at the beginning of each subtitle block?

Hello,
I was wanting any if anyone knew of any links or had any, presets for very small animations, not transitions, just animation keyframes just for animating still images in a video. Just basic, stuff to help save some time.
slight zoom ins, slight zoom outs, slight scrolling, either left, right, up, down, or diagonally, any presets that would keep a still image from being still in a video. Nothing fancy. Just enough variations for variety.
Thank you to whomever answers the call.
Howdy Gang, this is potentially an odd question.
I edit a weekly church service recorded to an ATEM Mini extreme (8 camera sources multi-camed). Because I'm lazy and I don't want to learn resolve, I export an XML out of resolve to premiere so I can do some colour correction and some minor editing to the service. I just added a wireless camera to my setup with a Hollyland 400s Pro, and there's about a 1-second delay on it. I've been going and moving the shots in the post to delay it by every individual clip. It's annoying, but I like the shots and I don't have the money for a better transmitter rn so I'm going to eat the extra work. And for those that are going to suggest delaying it in my switcher I haven't found a way to do that yet, but if you know how I'm all ears!
My question is is there a way to globally tell Premiere that the clip should actually start 1 second earlier than it does so that all the clips in the timeline auto get shifted back a second?
TIA
While editing, the program window doesn't respond instantly as I click around the timeline, start/stop playback, etc. (but I believe it should).
To be clear - it's quick, and I never have to wait more than a second or two (and only sometimes), but it bothers me that my previous PC provided instant response as I clicked around the sequence, and my newer, more expensive PC doesn't give me the same experience.
I typically take home movies with my Google Pixel, that's what I'm usually editing.
I convert the VFR files to CFR ProRes Proxy files using Shutter Encoder. I attach the proxies my raw files in Premiere correctly.
I have the Adobe software on my system SSD, my video files and proxies are on an internal storage SSD, and my cache directory is set to a third SSD (external). I delete the cache often (likely unnecessarily).
My PC specs are:
Windows 11 Home
i9-12900K, 3200 Mhz (overclocked to 5000 Mhz), 16 Core(s), 24 Logical Processors
64 GB (32x2) DDR5 6000 RAM
MSI PRO Z790-P
It should be flying, I believe.
However...
Graphics:
Intel UHD Graphics 770
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti
Did I screw myself by not paying more attention to the IGP?
For years, my amateur/ignorant brain thought the NVIDIA did all the work. I've Googled around a little bit and learned the GPU only does so much, and my not be what's driving the editing experience. Things get technical fast in those articles, though, so I get lost.
Can someone technical verify for this layman whether or not the IGP is definitely my problem?
I assume the reason for this is the difference in framerate between the composition and source video, but in some videos they import fully and some cut the last 3 frames. Even if I try to cut the segment that only contains the final 3 frames using in and out, it still doesn't show them. This causes some issues when I try to connect short video segments together to make a bigger video like AI renders and so on that have 4-5 second duration and start on the last frame of the previous segment.

What the title says. I've tried clearing the cache and reinstalling premiere pro. I don't think it's an issue with VFR either. I tried clips from multiple sources and the issue persisted. Not sure what to do with this, Please help.
I really want to get an AMD card because 7800xt is cheaper than a 4070 super. How does 7800xt perform in premiere pro?
My CPU is a ryzen 7 5700X.

I used to edit in CapCut and am now switching to Premiere. In CapCut, this effect is built-in—you just press a button, and it's done. Is there a simpler way to do this in Premiere? I want it exactly like that.
Thanks
I'm editing a video in Adobe Premiere Pro and I have a lot of clips in a sequence. I’d like to shuffle/rearrange them randomly to add more variety, instead of doing it manually.
Is there a built-in function in Premiere that allows me to randomize the order of clips in the timeline? Or alternatively, is there a script, plugin, or quick method to do this without having to move them one by one?
So i have a freeze hold frame where my subject is in colour and the background in B&W. I created a second mask on the layer with the original mask but inside is not changing the colour to B&W. Please see screens, any help on this ?
Hello everyone, I’m a student looking for advice on a laptop under $1000. I mainly need it for studying, working, and graphic design. I rarely play games, so I’m hoping to find something that can perform well for the next few years without worrying about it slowing down.
Hey everyone,
I edit all my videos at 44.1kHz in Premiere Pro due to the way I create/produce my music and SFX in 44khz, but also many sound libraries I use like Epidemic Sound and Artlist provide audio in 48kHz. Instead of changing my workflow, I rely on Premiere to Downsample those Audio Files to my timelines audio sample rate?
Does this cause any issues like sync problems or audio artifacts in Premiere? Or is it better to just switch my workflow to 48kHz?
How does Premiere Pro downsample audio by default? Is there a way to modify it, and is the algorithm reliable?
Thanks.
I'm reached my wits end with this one, I hope that someone here can help!
I've been a Premiere user for years across several machines and platforms and it's always performed as expected relative to the hardware that I've used, but all of a sudden it's unreasonably slow. I've done a couple of projects on my current PC over the past several months and while it's had it's usual Adobe product charm it hasn't been unbearable. Until now.
I'm doing a relatively easy project (no effects other than warp stabilizer on a clip or two and some color adjustments) with maybe ~150 4k clips (definitely not using them all! Just lots of coverage to choose from) from an Insta 360 Go and an Osmo Pocket. Everything runs smooth on open but within a couple of minutes it chugs to a complete halt: play pause won't work, preview window goes black, and even trying to save or close causes the app to stop responding and completely lock up. While I at first was using a USB-C external SSD I am now trying to use the files locally and it seems to perform the same. I've tried half of my RAM dedicated to it and 100%. Even limiting playback and pause resolution to 1/8 and turning off high-quality playback doesn't seem to fix it. I tried rendering in to out to see if it was an issue with playing back non-rendered clips but for 45 seconds of footage in the sequence it took almost 50 minutes to render, and didn't even change anything! I also tried making a new project and importing just a couple of clips to see if it was a file management issue and it still only made it a minute or two before almost crashing. I also reset preferences and it didn't fix it. I'm at a loss, I know that my hardware is a little older now but I didn't think it would get obsolete this fast?
Windows 10 Pro (Version 22H2)
Ryzen 5800x
RTX 3070 (Studio Driver 572.16 from just a couple days ago.)
40gb DDR4
Samsung EVO SSD w the files on it.
Using the 4k 30 sequence preset (tried with both h.264 and prores for the playback codec)
Please let me know if there's something dumb that I just missed, really hoping it's just simple user error! Thank you all kindly, in advance!
Please drop your opinion and suggestions
When a clip is selected, in either the program or source monitors, there is no video showing up, not even a black screen. The play head moves and the audio plays, but absolutely nothing is on the monitors. Please help! I can't seem to find this issue anywhere.
Some info that can be used:
- Storage type : SSD
- My media that I'm working with are screen recordings in the form of MP4s.
- All my graphic cards are updated and my computer is updated completely as well.
- In Premiere, I have already cleared media cache files, turned off GPU accelerated UI.rendering, and changed the renderer to murcury playback engine software only.
- I would like to note that another video editing program, CapCut, has not been working for me as well. In CapCut, all content is a black screen, the play head won't move, and audio won't play. I'm not sure if there is a correlation, but I feel like it might be something in my settings that's preventing these things from working.

So, I'm putting together a video that's just a serious of images synced to audio. I have everything lined up in the edit but when I export it, certain images will linger too long before switching to the next image. It's strange because certain images are still in sync and other are not. I've found people with similar issues but no one had a fix that fit my particular issue. Any advice is appreciated.
Edit: exporting the movie as a Quicktime file (.mov) seemed to fix the issue ?? I would still like to know what I was doing wrong in the first place. I was exporting it before with H.264 format.
Hello! Do you know what is this transition used and where can I find the exact same? I love the speed and I think is super clean. Is from minute 6:09 to 6:15 (the double swoosh to right)
I'm having a bit of a headache here.
My transcript is already formatted exactly how I wanted it, with line breaks where appropriate.
The only way to get a YouTube-compatible format is to then convert it to captions and export as .SRT
But when I convert it to captions, it splits/rejoins sentences in ways that I didn't want it to.
Expected/input:
What it outputs:
the headrests work.
Sure, I could go back through and split/join it all AGAIN, but I'd rather not go through and rework 30 minutes of dialog.
Is there any way to force Premiere to not make its own assumptions about how the transcript should be captionized? Or a third-party program that can take the text/csv Transcript and convert it to SRT?
I have a budget of 800 dollars , what should I prefer either buying a Mac mini m4 or should build a pc , for video editing
I have a ton of separate clips added to a sequence. I then use that sequence as the source for text-editing, pasting the selections I want into the destination sequence.
Unfortunately, I’ve noticed some gaps between the clips in the source sequence. I’d like to remove these gaps, but when I do, the content in the destination sequence changes (I assume because referenced timestamps are no longer correct.
Is there any way to solve for this, or do I just need to leave the gaps in place, to keep timestamps for text-edit pasted clips correct?
Getting into editing and trying to find people to do editing for, for free. Yet I am having trouble with people even responding to me.
Does anyone have any methods that’s worked for them for getting work when they first started?
Hey all! Looking to make some upgrades to my pc with an editing-first mindset. Any thoughts on where I can see the most performance improvement?
Current specs:
Motherboard: ASRock A320M/ac
CPU: Ryzen 7 5800x

Thanks for any and all help
Hi all,
Hopefully this is an easy one.
EDIT: This one has been solve, quickly and swiftly. It was simply an accidental "space" in the search bar. 🤦♂️
I've been captioning a video. And suddenly, all of the spaces in my caption window have been "highlighted." Like this:
I'm certain I accidentally hit some kind of hotkey, as we all do from time to time. Does anyone recognize this, or know how to turn it off? (Bonus points for knowing which hotkey I hit by mistake!)
Doesn't really impede my workflow, but I'd love to get it looking like it did before.
Thanks!
