Title. Or pretty much bands like Isis but with more energy in the music. I really like the slow heavy sludgy atmospheric sound of Isis but I’ve been craving that sound with more energy in it.
Update 1: forgot to say. The mathier the better.
Basically I've always liked post-rock with samples like Mogwai and GSYBE. But honestly I've never seen many post-metal bands with samples that aren't Deafheaven or Suffocate For Fuck Sake. Any suggestions?
An algorithm gem
Again, extremely underrated band. Album Made Wrong produced by Kurt Ballou, “is lingering strains of hardcore influence, this mainly post metal release captures the listener in a melodic twilight where the melancholy feel strikes a beautiful balance of a painful agony, and just a prick of adversity. There's a lot to be said about capturing a mood and feel in an album, and keeping it consistent, yet unique.”
What's your go-to song(s) for testing new audio equipment? Does it differ depending on the equipment? Such as - car sound system, headphones, earbuds, home theater, desktop speakers, etc. Which songs cover all ranges, have powerful and clear bass, sharp drums, and treble that's not overpowering, etc. But then also, as we all know, some albums might be underproduced, and these also have the potential to sound much better depending on where you play it. Let's discuss!
My latest go-to is the remastered "Prepare the Ground" by Yob.
This band has always been on my peripheral, finally gave them the time of day. Loving it! I have listened to Blazing Fires... and Fyra. What album should I check out next? Big love.
Which post-metal albums are you always ready to listen to and which ones are special to you?
Hey guys,
As I'm currently working on a new album that will be called "III", I want to commemorate "II", an album that I wrote 5 years ago.
For that occasion, I created 100 free bandcamp codes that you can redeem at https://mehen-music.bandcamp.com/yum if you're interested!
If you happen to use one, please write a comment so I can delete it!
With love, Mehen!

Hey everyone, Just wondering if there are any other one-man projects in this sub? I'm curious to connect and chat about our experiences, being iit a different type of journey Cheers! EDIT: idea of this post was to identify acts/creators in similar boat in order to learn one from another and possibly join forces in some meaningful way, aside of sharing the links. For start, it could be interesting to learn whats the biggest Pro and Con of being aone man act for you at this particular moment of your journey and whats your next step? PS:My own stuff is this... bleed you fucking skies or spotify
