New stuff from our Band From Grace. Hope you enjoy 😎🤘
I haven't kept up with the genre this year so I'm curious to learn what's been going on.
I was not able to find any post regarding Verdigris either here or in post-rock. The songs lean toward the heavier side, but could probably be considered both genres.
The self titled album was released in 2020 and this is one of multiple projects by John Snyder of Electronic Audio Experiments (guitar pedals).
I think I’ve heard a song of theirs growing up, but they’ve never been a band I’ve been familiar with. Just knew about them through the zeitgeist. Rosetta had a cover of The Cure’s Homesick that is excellent. There’s a live version of it by The Cure that I checked out, and it’s excellent. That was only late last year that I heard this, so I’m still very unfamiliar with the band.
A Rosetta fan on here was saying Disintegratjon was incredible, their favorite album of all time. Jeff Caxide, the bassist of ISIS and Palms, said in a recent post how much inspiration he took from The Cure. So it really seems like some post metal bands have taken a lot of inspiration from this band, and as fans of this genre, I’m curious everyone’s thoughts on how good the new album is.

This is the project of a member of my extreme metal band, Winds of Winter.
Consuela’s story is unique. Originally founded in 2010 as The GREY Collective, a jam collective of Düsseldorf-based musicians, it has since evolved into a collaboration of producers and musicians from across Germany and Ukraine. The journey leading up to this moment has taken many turns, and now it’s here: Consuela’s very first official release. Take a moment to dive into the debut single, titled “Kühlungsborn,” which sets the stage for Consuela’s debut album, As Long As You And I Collide.

Debut album by the Greek diy Post-Metal band
There was an instrumental post-metal band I used to listen to maybe 15 years ago and I can't remember any names. They had two albums at the time and the first track on one of them maybe started with this blast beat into a tom heavy fill and then repeat. Kinda ambient and heavy guitars at the same time. Not super descriptive but I've had this song in my head for months and I can't figure out who it is.
Edit: Its Sannhet! Shout out to u/C_left for that suggestion. Also thanks for all the things I've never heard before to add to my rotation.
New song just released!
I've been listening to postrock and postmetal for some time now and with my former band on hiatus for a bit, I figured I would start my own solo project and start writing again. I have a few songs in the works, with two completed. This one in particular is the first song I completed and released.
This song was inspired by The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri and includes some narration.
Would love some feedback on this. I appreciate the listen and follow if you like what you hear. Cheers!
