If you haven't voted yet, please vote No on 2117. It provides a lot of needed funding for thousands of jobs and hundreds of projects. We deserve clean air and water, don't get rid of it for small immediate gain.

Debate viewing partys

There will be one at the Democratic HQ downtown at 530, the Clallam GOP does not have one listed.

If you have time, watch the VP debate. Hear what they have to say for yourself without others spin.

Friendly message to the community from a mod

Howdy, I'm one of the mods. This post isn't a serious announcement or anything, I just wanted to make a thread where we can all share our thoughts on this new sub with each other. I've added some user and post flairs, set up some rules, and customized the sub's appearance. (it may not look like it, but I actually remade the city's seal in the icon myself, which took forever only because photoshop kept crashing... All for a gradient effect that's hardly noticeable)

I wanna say a thank you to anyone who has reported a comment or post. We haven't deemed any of the reported posts worthy of action, BUT there's only two of us, and we have our own lives, so the odds of us missing something that mods really ought to see, even if in line with the rules, would be stacked against us if it weren't for you bringing them to our attention. So thanks for making it easier for us to make the sub better for you.

The other thing I wanted to ask, (and the primary purpose of this post) is what are some suggestions you have to make the sub the best it can be? Big or small, ideas are welcome. I'm honestly not qualified to pretend I'm "above" anyone just because I'm a mod. This is really our community, and we're all entitled to the opportunity to shape it. Now I won't promise to materialize every idea like a genie, (and my actions will still be ultimately dictated by what I perceive to be in the best interest of everyone) but we all have voices that allow us to speak, and ears that allow us to hear that speech.

Bulk baking soda sodium bicarbonate?

Is there anywhere around someone could find bulk baking soda? From what I can tell it is sometimes used in cattle feed? We are looking to use it in our cat liter boxes since we moved to paper pellets, but those pellets don't do a great job absorbing the smell. The grocery prices are expensive for the amounts I would like to get but I have seen online much cheaper non food grade for cattle and farms, so just wondering if anyone knows a local place. But onlne and shipping costs make the price skyrocket.

A "Trump train" is going through town right now, honking and causing traffic. Not a single person looked under 50. Please remember to vote. Don't let this authoritarian movement take our country back
