Want to know trade secrets? What's in the special sauce? Or what it's like to work in an industry? Ask the People Who Work At that place! #PWWA
RULES - Please Read Before Posting!
1. All posts must begin with PWWA
2. Only post about specific company, job or industry
A post can ask any question relating to a specific company, job role or industry. An example of all:
C: - PWWA Starbucks, is it true you get unlimited free coffee? JR: - PWWA a coffee shop as a barista, do you have a passion for making good coffee? I: - PWWA a coffee shop, do you ever dream of starting your own?
Do not post questions that are unrelated to working in a place, industry or role and any unrelated content will be removed.
3. No questions about specific staff members
Do NOT ask a question about a specific member of staff. That includes naming staff at a specific store location, giving a detailed description of the staff members or posting personal information.
You can ask generic or hypothetical questions about "what if a staff member was ill" or "what if a staff member is disabled" etc.
This is zero tolerance and you will be banned if you break this rule.
4. Only specify a specific location if it's relavant
You can only specify the store or geographic location if it's relavant.
Posts asking about regional promotions or why certain products are only available here is fine. Asking about slow service at your local store isn't.
5. No personal complaints
This includes complaints about the terrible service you received or asking questions that being answered, would only serve you.
Questions about store policies are fine if it helps you with a complaint, but only on the basis the post isn't about your specific issue.
6. No freebies, discounts or favours
You may not under any circumstances, arrange to give other Redditors free food, discounts on items or coupons if you "ask for me when I'm in next Tuesday". Just don't do it.
This is zero tolerance and you will be banned if you break this rule.
7. No advertising your business or pandering for it
Do not ask questions or post comments to advertise your local business, company or anything of the like.
This includes 'pandering'; which is setting up a questions indirectly and subtly to advertise or promote your latest venture.
8. No personal agendas, crusades or petitions
Do not post specifically to further your own personal agenda, crusade or petition. This isn't a staff room or giant watercooler. This includes organising a company strike or making a stand. Do not bring that stuff here.
This also includes spamming the sub in order to drive down sales or put a local business into bankruptcy.
DO NOT SPREAD UNTRUE RUMOURS.
This is zero tolerance and you will be banned if you break this rule.
9. Be polite, friendly and generally do not be toxic
This goes without saying but, keep all topics on point.
Do not start off a tangent of discussions around politics. There are plenty of other subs out there.
Be polite to each other and discuss things nicely. There is absolutely no place for Racism, Homophobia, Sexism etc - everyone is equal and welcome here and it's important that you disagree in a constructive way. Read up on the Reddit Etiquette rules too, they're generally on point.
10. BE CAREFUL WHEN MENTIONING WHERE YOU WORK
Lastly, employers may stumble across this sub and departments do exist to manage a businesses online presence. Be extremely cautious when mentioning where you work, especially if you're going to say something that could put you in the firing line if you were identified.
Be aware of your post history and how you could be identified before posting. It's extremely unlikely based on the type of site Reddit is, but you are responsible alone for the things you say here and online generally!

I can provide model sheets to your ideas
I have a flight todays and a mistake / miscommunication was made between Expedia and spirit and basically I don’t have a carry on included in my ticket and just a personal item (put all my clothes in my bagpack ) . But I wanted to ask if aside from that I can bring my empty tote bag(or atleast just my laptop in it ? My tote bag can’t fit in my personal bag that’s full
A ball point pen leaked and made a small stain (one 4” one 2”, width of a marker).
Can that be cleaned? If not I was thinking I might also have an accident where the fabric gets a small cut. This sectional isn’t available anymore.
Thanks for your tips to work this cheap furniture warranty.
How do you guys make the rice? I’ve heard it’s just cilantro mixed in with normal white rice. Is that true?
I know this is a long shot, but any chip city current or former employees here? They are soooo guarded with how they make the cookies, but I have to know how they are baked. Are the centers frozen? Are they a different dough? How do they make those cookies that are thick yet gooey in the middle?
I have yet to find a recipe that even comes close and preliminary experiments have been a disaster.
I've got a field trip module in my course and it has limited spaces, we need to write a cover letter stating why we should get a place. I really want to go on this module because it's one of the few actually relevant to my course. What considerations do they make when picking who gets in? What kind of things should I put in the cover letter? Is there anything I should absolutely avoid?
Been trying out a lot of ideas for home pizza night and can’t seem to get it remotely right.
Edit to add: not looking for exact recipe but the video I’ve seen inside the restaurant made it seem like there was no sauce, and that can’t be right, right?
Just as the title says. I saw someone change seats mid flight to a different row that was empty. Do flight attendants check if a seat should be empty and stuff or do they generally not care? No one said anything to him so l assume not but it got me thinking.
Asked this a couple of years ago, re-posting in the hopes that someone will know now. Or at the very least, which of these sauces even is it? It’s not mentioned by name anywhere I can find.
I just finished Better Call Saul and now I’m going through Breaking Bad again, and I start wondering how much money these guys are making. Nacho, Tyrus, Victor, Mike. They seem like the go-to guys with no specific job other than doing whatever needs to be done. How much money are the real life counterparts making doing this kind of thing? Not the head honchos of course, just the thugs.
I've been told they're screening for weed and coke and if I've consumed either within the last month, I'll fail. I don't need to worry about coke, but two weeks ago, I had a tiny little bit of weed -just one bowl, I didn't know I had a drugs test on the horizons.
It wasn't killer weed and I was wondering, would such a small amount even register? If so, is there anything I can do to make it so I pass?
A family friend who ran a business like this for years passed away recently. His son will determine which sites they can continue to host (minimal-to-no-change needed), and which they cannot. How does one “sell websites” to other hosting services? How is website valuation handled? (Additional relevant info beyond answers to these two questions is also welcome!)
Btw, ily 🫶
Does it make enough in your area to make a living without a side gig? I've been thinking of doing it but I'm worried I won't make enough, I don't mind working at McDonalds, in fact, I think everyone should work there (or somewhere similar) at least once, to see how they're treated. Anyway, I'm teaching myself how to use Fusion 360 and I took HS classes in AutoCAD. But, with the need for online stuff with the Metaverse and everything, is freelance Fusion (which I prefer because I find it easier to use) designer a viable career?
Last time I was at my local Starbucks, I noticed a sign listing all the baristas names and their orders. Is this actually in all of the (or most) stores? If so, do they walk up to you and ask for your order, or do they just check the system the next time you order? Also, side question, have you ever had someone order your drink for you as a treat (hopefully on break)?
I've heard that since Disney is (supposedly) the happiest place on Earth, princesses get a cut in their pay if they're caught by another worker, and they aren't smiling. Is this true, if so, have you ever broken the rule? If not, are there any actual rules that are similarly odd?
I starting soon and was wondering what my prep list is going to look like.
I.E. If I submit a positive compliment when instructions are followed?
Why some of you are not scared of night shift? i would be shitting my pants if i needed to work there
For the employees who read and approve any correspondence prior to it being given to an inmate, are you ever sent any random message specifically for whoever is reading? An example is I send texts to a friend who's currently incarcerated and now and then I will include a p.s. for the person reading for approval, something like " for whoever is reading this besides my friend I truly hope you have a great day!!" I'm curious if anyone has that job what they think?
Hi, I have been stuck in the DFW area with many letters after my name that apparently mean things, but "job" isn't one of them! I cannot find a job in this area. It's dry for biotech, so I am desperate. I have heard really terrible things about MedPace in Cincinnati, but people are reticent about the location in this area. I have been told to stay away, but with my combo of degrees, I don't think anyone else will take me. It is a weird situation. If anyone knows anything about MedPace in DFW, please let me know! Thanks!
Hi everyone don't know if this is the right place to post or not but I don't know who else to ask these questions to. Got a class assignment to interview one person working pretty much any job really, would appreciate anyone answering this. You don't have to answer some questions if you don't want.
How stable do you find the environment to be? Seems like all of the green energy companies in Michigan are sort of fly-by-night or sketchy startups, but they're mostly panel installation. There's a position I'm interested in with one in Chicago, but I'd be leaving a very stable company where I'm valued, but dead ended.
Hello everyone! I hope your day is going well so far.
For those who work in higher education, what made you choose to work in a college/university type of setting? How is the pay compared to the private sector?
What do you do if nobody has bought tickets for the showing? Do you keep the movie playing or turn it off?
Is it ok to check in an empty luggage?
What is recapture of credit losses mean on a bank's financial statement?
It might just be because I'm trying to read a financial statement late at night, but I'm completely blanking on what recapture of credit losses means for a bank; Google isn't helping.
