Bottom line we booked an airBnB not considering the early season might not have the closest lift open. Has Town been running at all?
Is the Marquis mainly focusing on EDM? There seems to be an over index toward it beyond the initial opening dates.
As well, it feels like the schedule is really sporadic.
Any insights into the broader strategy?
As of this post, looks like 12 of 41 lifts are open.
Anyone have line of sight into when more lifts are coming online in the coming weeks?
I’m Zach, the guy building The Park City App. Reddit has been awesome to us and I think this is the right place to launch and test a new service. We’re running a hotel shuttle from Park City to SLC Airport twice in the morning at 5am and 7am with pickups at the following hotels along Park City's main drag (224/Park Ave). Then once in the evening at 8pm.
The Hotels: Sheraton, Doubletree, Hotel Park City, Peaks, Hyatt Place. (Also potentially: AC Marriott and Holiday Inn)
The Deal: $35 for the first seat and $15 for others in your party.
So, to book for just one person: $35
For two: 35 +15 = $50
For three: $65
Etc.
I’m going to be officially building this into the app, but for now, you can book your seats through this form. We’re ready to roll. Rides start effective immediately!
(If these times don’t work for you, feel free to submit the form for a different time and we’ll do our best to make it work.)
We’re stuck between park city and breck/keystone. Will the quicksilver gondola between park city base and canyons be open soon? That will be the main dealbreaker
Are there any places that host workshops or experiences in the area? I’m pregnant so I would prefer if it didn’t revolve around alcohol but not opposed.
Does ritual chocolate do tastings? Something along these lines sounds fun! Cooking classes? Fun experiences? We’re looking early for sometime this spring for our anniversary. Thanks in advanced!
I am trying to book last minute snowboarding vacation for our fam in park city December 16th - 20th this year 2024- What is the snow like now? Do you think it is worth the flight? or will it likely be only a few runs open?
Hi everyone
I’m bringing the family to PC for Christmas - we’ve never been - and we’d love some recommendations for some good bars and restaurants. Not necessarily looking for high end places, more vibey and cool. There will be my wife and I, along with our 2 boys (24 and 20) and we’ll be there for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day during our 4 night stay.
Any advice would be appreciated!
Hello all! I'll be visiting PC mid December and staying close to Main Street. My girlfriend and I love to hike. We are Florida hikers looking for recommendations on a trail we can easily get to and spend a couple hours at. We have snow gear/shoes so we are good to go. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
For new residents or visitors who might not be aware of PCMR’s uphill policy, you can find it here: https://www.parkcitymountain.com/the-mountain/about-the-mountain/safety/our-multi-use-mountain/uphill-access-policy.aspx
You can sign up for text alerts, which is helpful. Please do the community a solid by following the rules. This article was posted here 9 months ago and I thought it was worth a reminder: https://townlift.com/2024/02/park-city-mountains-uphill-travel-on-verge-of-suspension-due-to-skier-negligence/
Looking forward to the start of uphill season! 🤙🏻
Hello all. You've heard it before and yes, I'm a dickbag for asking again. Best month for snow and/or overall conditions?
Does anyone know of aerial arts classes, mainly silks or lyra, in the area? Or anyone with a rig that would let me practice with them?
I've been practicing for a few years, but have been on hiatus since having a kid almost a year ago. I would love to get back to it, but unfortunately don't have the time to go down to SLC for the weekly classes I've found online.
How are the conditions of the rail trail looking for a long run this weekend?
Hello! Random, but I cannot find any sprocket plus size printing paper in town and I am only in Park City until Monday (I borrowed a sprocket from the park city library) and am hoping to print some family photos before I leave! I WILL PAY YOU. Thanks local crafters!!
Looking for a couple hours of a ski or snowboarding lesson, will be in park city from 12/12- 12-15 My girlfriend is new to both, I have a bit of snowboarding experience. If you guys could recommend someone, that would be great.
Me and my freind are coming from the 17th to the 22 to park city ski resort, was wondering if there will be at least 40% of trails open by then?
When does Town lift typically open? Wanting to get an Airbnb in the area of the plaza December 13-17 but only if the lift is open to bring us up to the mountain.
My boyfriend and I are landing in SLC late Christmas morning, and staying til the 27th to ski Alta/Snowbird. I was thinking on Christmas Day to walk around/eat dinner in Park City. How crowded can I expect it to be that day? Do you have any recommendations for a good Christmas meal/dinner in town/the area? Any must sees or dos in the area? Thank you!
I am going to park city Utah 12/26/24, I would love to surprise my party with an Austin Powers impersonator. I have made as many calls as I can, but not many people are a good resource for an impersonator of this caliber. If anybody can assist or find an Austin Powers in Park City, Utah I will forever be indebted to you lol. But seriously anybody know someone?
Hello! Writing to get a sense of if there is any interest or need for a personal chef for the Park City locals! Hoping to find a client or two to work with.
A little about me, I have a great passion for food and creativity and love being able to share these parts of myself with others. I have worked in the food industry as a vegetable grower, a prep cook, a baker, a line cook, a private chef, a server, and a bartender. My experiences range from being in a high-volume, fast paced restaurants to backcountry premiere kitchens. I have experience cooking for many different diets and enjoy finding ways to be creative within such boundaries.
Be in touch if this floats your boat! Thanks.

Searched around and tried to email but couldn’t find an answer on this - I have tried to bring snowboard with me twice but not been allowed to go in the HVT vehicles requesting ride via app. I recently moved here don’t have a car and take the bus mostly but it would be nice to use the vehicles to go to Woodward and get to mountain faster some days. Does anyone know when/if they’ll add the ski racks?
What restaurant is the best for Turkey Day? Looking for a fun atmosphere and plenty of food. It will be my wife and I and our two kids 10 & 7.
Trying to surprise my dad with 3 tickets to Mat Kearny March 6, 7, or 8. He is dying to go and he booked a trip to ski there that week specifically to see that show. Anyone have any idea how to get tickets or know someone who might be selling theirs?
The website said you can join to become a Pharaohs at the Egyptian theater - anyone know what that means or what the odds would be of getting tickets that way? Any help would be appreciated 🫶🏻
If anyone's wondering if it's worth the drive, Lucas has a vlog featuring the open runs at both Canyons and Park City.
Note - not my video just one that showed up on my feed that people here might find useful.
I just moved to SLC from AZ maknly for snowboarding. I have the Epic pass and will be hitting park city a couple times a week for the season. The parking out here is a mess and is somthing I have never dealt with at Snowbowl in Flagstaff or moutains I have gone to in CO(although Im sure most out there are similar). Since I will be going alot I dont want to pay for parking everytime. I understand why they want to incentivize carpooling a public transportation but I dont have enough people to meet their requirements but I also carry alot of things with me and like to be able to retreat back to the car occasionally. How do they verify the carpooling? I went today and some guy said its free until Dec 5th and after that you send a picture with you and 4 people to a phone number? Is this it? And what if I make if online in advance and select 4+ people are they checking cars or is it just sending the photo. I have accecpted the reality of taking the bus from downtown or parking at Cabriolet and then taking lifts to PC side but I am just curious if anyone else has done/run into this. Thanks!
Btw I'm not talking about trails where off-leash dogs are often seen, I'm referring to trails that are specifically intended for off-leash dogs.
