My brother just brought home a dualshock from his friend but it doesn't connect. I've tried Bluetooth and usb connection but its just not working, help me please!

Hello, I need help, my PS4 is here, I attached a photo, when I turn it on it comes out blue and then white, no controller works when I connect it, they only charge, the HDMI is fine too, what can I do?

Now it is in safe mode.

So im pretty sure my controllers are completely cooked and they cant connect to anything is there a way i can log in with keyboard and mouse or do i need a new controller?

I've been using an old computer SSD that I took out and put in an external case as extended storage for my PS4 for many months now. Thing is, I think the power went out once while my PS4 was on rest mode with the SSD connected to it. Once I got home and booted up my PS4, it immediately said there was an issue with the SSD. All the files got corrupted, so naturally I disconnect and wipe the whole thing. I even scanned it for any errors, but nothing. The SSD seems to work just fine connected to my PC, but even after everything I tried, the PS4 doesn't want to format it as extended storage anymore. It has no problem formatting it to exFAT and using it as a storage for anything else, but when it tries to format it as extended storage, it just gives the "Cannot format. CE-30022-7" error.
I've tried rebuilding the database, I've tried resetting the PS4, I've tried formatting the SSD differently via my PC, but nothing works.

The one last thing I haven't tried is initializing my PS4. Since I had most of my games on the SSD, I don't have that many left in the actual system storage, and I have a USB to transfer my save files and captures to, but is it worth it? Since nothing has worked so far, I can't really say I have belief it'll somehow fix the issue between my PS4 and my perfectly fine SSD, but other than that, my only other option is to buy a new HDD (since they're cheaper) and use it as extended storage instead (if it even works). So should I try initializing my PS4?

I am on 12.00 and whenever I try to log into my account and I reach to the two verification to send me a text with the code, I never seem to receive the text even after hitting resend message million time it was happening on my laptop on my phone as well of trying to log in using the app and I'm totally lost why

I'm having an issue that I'm unsure about categorizing under hardware or software, but here we go.

I had a software update that I fucked up somehow, presumably by turning off the console mid-update for whatever reason (this happened a week or two ago and I can't remember entirely what happened) and when I tried turning my console back on I'm met with this error (SU-30746-0).

That's one issue, the second is that my controller now will not turn on. It was working fine before this error, but now whenever I try to turn it on, it flashes the pale blue light 1-2 times before turning off. It charges fine (I think) as I see the yellow light pulsing, but the controller just doesn't work. Am I SOL or is there a fix I can do? I've tried using the little button on the bottom side to reset it but no luck there. If there's a fix that can be done without another controller I'd appreciate it as this controller has some sentimental value and I don't want it to be out of commission.

Hello Reddit I have a problem with my brothers Ps4 Slim, His ps4 is stuck in safe mode, I went into the safe mode menu to update it to version 12.00 as it asked, but It keeps sending me to a page where it says I need a USB storage device that contains a updated file for reinstallation of version 12.00 or later. I went into the safe mode twice, Updated it and even tried to re build data base, Nothing working Please help me out.

I have 2 older ps4 controllers that used to work great but now neither of them will connect to my ps4. I plug them in and they flash a yellow/orange light but when I unplug them they won’t connect. I’ve tried holding share and ps button to reconnect and they’ll flash quickly but still won’t connect. Do I need new controllers?

Any advice would be great

I have a recurring issue with my ps4. After playing for maybe 5 minutes at best, my controller disconnects with no warning, and the light turns off. Upon pressing the ps button again the light sumply flashes white for a while and then stops. I cant reconnect my controller untill I restart the ps4. I've tried different controller, resetting the conttollers, using usb, clearing the ps4 cache and updating to the latest software with no luck. I've also tested connecting the controllers via bluetooth to my ipad and playing minecraft, and had no issues whatsoever so I'm confident this is an issue with the system. Any tips or fixes would be very much appreciated, though I plan to take the system into a shop for repair this weekend.

I have my ethernet cable connected to my ps4 and the port, which is on, but for some reason it doesn’t recognize that there’s an Ethernet cable attached. Has anyone had this problem?

My controller has this frustrating issue with the share button going off on its own. It’s really odd. The current game I’m playing Square is the attack button I can hit it all I want without an issue but when I go to attack an NPC it triggers the share button and takes screenshots constantly.

I tried unplugging the system and resetting the controller and that worked for a little while but then my game randomly crashed and it started doing it again except now resetting the controller doesn’t even work.

I changed the share setting so the menu doesn’t keep popping on interrupting gameplay but I keep hearing it taking screenshots in the background every second “bling”, “bling”, “bling”… any help? Or should I just smash the thing

So, I was trying to play Call of Duty on my PS4, but kept getting an error message within the game. I tried restarting the PS$, but now it refuses to connect to anything that isn't the web browser, stating: "Playstation network currently busy". I found an old post on the PS4 sub saying that the privacy settings were the cause of the issue, but if I try to go into them, it just says "An error has occured."

Came back from vacation to this.

Already tested different HDMI cables. Anyone experienced similar issues or has at least an idea what the problem could be?

Hi reddit im turning to you for some help. I recently found a PS4 (not slim) downstairs in my apartment building left on our communal bookshelf. I brought it upstairs and plugged it in and it was in the safe mode screen. I'd never seen this on my other playstation so i looked up a solution and it gave me the rundown of my options. I opted for the initialize PS4 (reinstall system software) option because I wanted to transfer the files from my PS4 slim to this one and I wasnt worried about saving any data left on it. So i went on the PS website and dowloaded the software update exactly as specified on my WD Black P10 in exFAT format and plugged it into the PS4. I turned it on, connected my controller with a compatible USB cable (i verified it was compatible), i was then shown the safe mode menu and I selected the initialize PS4 (reinstall system software) option. It then tells me to connect a USB storage device with an update file for reinstallation version 6.51 or later so i connect the storage device and confirm i want to proceed. This is where the problem is, it says initializing and goes to 100%, then it says preparing to update system software and goes to 100%, then the screen turns off as if i had disconnected the HDMI and the playstation begins to flash blue. the screen eventually turns back on and takes me back to the "Connect your dualshock controller with a usb cable" and when i do it takes me back to the Safe Mode options screen and the whole process restarts. ive tried leaving it alone when it does this and it will just eventually turn off and stay off so im not sure when the deal is, ive tried the other options on the list and similar things happen each time but nothing is ever resolved. The light indicator will also flash white sometimes but as far as i know thats just indicating its powering on, or that it needs troubleshooting which it obviouosly does. Ive exhausted the options im aware of and found a place near me that is willing to try and fix it but i am very wary of shops like that scamming me, 1. because i am a woman, and 2. because i dont know how to fix it myself. if you have any advice im willing to try anything within reason and if you have any questions feel free to ask. thank you!!

Won't connect to TV and keeps moving when inserting USB. What shall I do?

hey guys, I got a problem. I still have a ps4 and after a month of being busy I tried to turn it on, now the issue is my ps4 turned on by the buttons but not with the controllers(I have 2 dualshock) so I thought it is common for the charger(jds-055) and battery to fail on these models so I changed them both. but to no help.

note: the charging light doesn't show on the old and new charging board)

I am afraid it might be a broken motherboard(jdm-055) but don't want to spend the money if it is not necessary. does anyone know the cheapest way to replace the motherboard or have another idea of what could be the issue. mind you I had 0 issues before that

I have a PS4 pro, and although ive been using it a lot and its not particularly dirty or anything, lately it has gotten corrupted datas too often. Like half a year ago it happened to a game which i had 60 hours in and i couldnt do anything about it. Recently it did the same but mostly with apps like youtube or netflix so it wasnt an issue, but it happened again with a game i have like 70 hours in, i had to delete all my saves, couldnt find a way to salvage them.

I just want to know if theres a way to make this stop happening? Im not asking to salvage my saves, those are gone, but its been annoying it has happened a lot recently and the last corrupted game was the last straw. What can i do, or is my ps4 already defective? PS Plus cloud save also isnt an option.

I just rebuilt the database and deleted everything that i didnt need, basically it just has YT, Netflix and some games installed. Any other advices? I was thinking of buying an USB just for saves for the time being.

To sum it all up, I tried to upload a video but it said I needed to link my account back. I have now done it multiple times. Some times it does and sometimes it just doesn't. On other occasions this error (image) pops up. Sometimes when i think it has linked and try upload this error pops up: This feature is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later. (WS-37527-4). Does anyone have any advice?

Every step of the process works fine, but when I try to upload a video to YouTube, the PS4 tells me I need to link my account. I do this over and over and it doesn't change. I tried restarting and it did nothing.

I’ve followed the exact instructions 3 times and it keeps popping up. Is there anything I can do or is apex out of the question for me now? Any advice would be appreciated.

My ps 4 slim, only recognizes discs when I hold it vertically. Does anyone know what I can do to make it take discs when it is laying flat? Thanks.

I turned off my ps4 pro at midnight, and went to sleep. Woke up to the sound of it beeping again and again. It was restarting on its own. When I tried powercycling, it does the same thing. It does not even boot to safe mode. It just beeps, blue light blinks, beeps again, and when the light turns to white, it beeps again and shuts down. I can even hear the fans turning off.

Pushing the eject button, it beeps three times. Even when the light is off. It turns on by pushing the power button, but as i said, it just turns off on its own.

A friend said it might be the power supply, so i bought and installed a new one, didnt solve anything. I'm guessing it could be the HDD, went to a friend to borrow one from his old ps4, still does not work.

I need help, I cant turn it on anymore.

I replaced the disk drive in my ps4 slim as the last owner says his didn't work, I replaced the ribbon cables and the module itself and checked the spring as well as the arms. Everything is there and intact. When I press and hold the eject button it beeps 3 times and then I can hear a slight whirr from inside but no disc goes in. There is nothing blocking the discs pathway and the rollers move smoothly. I don't know how to fix it at this point. Any tips?
