Sylva [Nature, Family, PvP]

Sylva is the premier Nature based settlement in Pathfinder Online. We're a family that has come together through the game, and we're one of the most active settlements currently.

Website - Sylva's Website (TeamSpeak info on website)

PvP - We've been involved in some of the hottest PvP so far in Pathfinder Online, and we've consistently come out ahead. The Battle of Blackwatch is an RP tale describing the successful capture of Blackwatch and the founding of Sylva despite extremely heavy PvP resistance. Because of our prowess on the battlefield in direct combat, diplomacy resulting in powerful friends and allies willing to lend aid, and internal organization and logistics, we're able to provide a home even for those who want to avoid PvP as much as possible. Whether you love PvP or hate it, you will be among peers in Sylva.

Roleplaying - Sylva, originally just the Echo Woodsmen, has a history of roleplaying within the game and a solid roleplaying background. Our focus is on protecting Nature and using sustainable harvesting methods to respectfully accept Nature's gifts while actually increasing the health of the forest. We've made several roleplaying posts on these forums and our own private forums as well, and we encourage members to roleplay as much as they'd like.

Companies

  • Echo Woodsmen - Mostly crafters and gatherers, with some PvE combat, the Echo Woodsmen govern Sylva and often stay in or around the settlement crafting and coordinating logistics.

  • Echo Wardens - Protectors and defenders, the Wardens are the main PvP force in Sylva.

  • Wilderness Wayfinders - The Wayfinders travel far and wide as traders and explorers, wheeling and dealing in the name of Sylva and gathering materials from long distances.

  • Scarlet Legion - A tight-knit group of RL friends, they've been with us since before the founding of Sylva.

  • Red Mantis Assassins - A group of assassins that follows a very strict code, they're small but successful as assassins for hire.

The Seventh Veil - Sylva is a member of the Seventh Veil, an external gaming community with members actively playing several different games. The Seventh Veil also coordinates tabletop roleplaying games online using virtual tabletop systems like Roll20 or play by post on the forums. Even if you decide not to stick with Pathfinder Online, you would be welcome to continue to be a part of the Seventh Veil community. We're always looking for more games to play.

Feel free to connect to our TeamSpeak any time, and make an account on our forums. Even without joining or submitting an application, you will be able to post and interact with our members and ask any questions you like.

The Empyrean Order - Recruiting New Members!

The Empyrean Order

Name: The Empyrean Order
Alignment: Neutral Good
Preferred Alignments: LG/NG/CG/N
Purpose: Community betterment, protection of the weak, and promotion of justice.
Player Roles Accepted: All
Website: Link

The Empyrean Order is made up of the following sub-companies:

  • Argent Crusade: Focused on wiping out Escalations and farming mobs.
  • Argent Defenders: Focused on clearing escalataions affecting production/gathering/settlements.
  • Argent Vanguard: Focused on PvE research, clearing escalations, dungeons, and part PvP.
  • Empyrean Legion: Focused on protecting Brighthaven and the Southern Cragthorns, Anti-Pkers.
  • Empyrean Wolves: Focused on scouting, skirmishing, and PvP.
  • Explorer's League: Focused on Landmark searching, patrols, and escort trips.
  • Phoenix Industries: Focused on refining and crafting.
  • The Seraphic Commission: Focused on community events, and hospitality.
  • The Golden Scales: Focused on bulk and raw resource gathering, trade, and caravans.

Please apply to one of the above companies.

Political Status -
Signatory of the Roseblood Accord
Member of the Everbloom Alliance

Ideology:
The Empyrean Order believes that just because you can do something in a game, that doesn't necessarily mean you should. To that end, we want Pathfinder Online to have a community where PvP is fought at the Settlement and Nation level, while random player killers and griefers are fringe elements rather than mainstream. We have several dedicated organizations specifically in place to help battle these fringe elements.

The Empyrean Order also believes in helping new players, reaching out to the community, and generally making Pathfinder Online a better world for people to enjoy together. The Empyrean Order seeks to carve out a portion of our shared play world where all of the above are true, a place we call home, and hopefully you will too.

Who Should Join TEO?:
Everyone who agrees with the above ideology and wants to be a part of an organization that puts it into action. We currently have nine sub-guilds, and if you take a look above you can see each sub-guilds focus. We are looking for the folks who are willing to stand on the front lines as well as those who are willing to work to supply and support them.

We cater to every play-style; from people wanting to be part of an elite military to pacifists; from people looking for a heavy role-play experience to those who'd prefer to avoid it; from Americans and Europeans to Australians and more. Currently our membership represents North Americans, Europeans, Asians, and Australians, you will not find a time of day where you are alone on our mumble channel.

Our Rules:
1. No killing without just cause. One of the main ways we distinguish ourselves is by only killing when we have good reason to do so. More details on what constitutes good reason will be given as we get more details on the game, but for the most part this constitutes enemies of The Empyrean Order and those who are a threat to the general public.
2. Do not make agreements you do not intend to keep. Nobody in The Empyrean order will demand you make promises or enter into contracts, but if you do, then you should honor your word.
3. Respect other members of our order, and try to respect those outside of it as well. I know this rule is very difficult and can rarely be followed perfectly, but know where to draw the line, especially in a public setting. This one will be enforced the hardest on inter-guild drama, any rivalry between members should be friendly. This does not always mean that all members are expected to think alike or see eye-to-eye all of the time or even most of the time. It does mean that these disagreements are expected to remain civil even if you have to agree to disagree.

Joining The Empyrean Order:

  1. Look at the top left hand side of your screen, find the tower icon to the right of that, open it, search for one of the above companies, open and apply.
  2. Join us on Mumble.
  3. Register on the CotP boards.
  4. Apply for CotP membership.
  5. Introduce yourself in the Pathfinder Online section.
  6. Join our PFO Chapter, and check out the other titles our community has to offer.

Mumble Usage:
CotP has a dedicated 24/7 Mumble server. Mumble usage is a requirement for all TEO members, but a microphone is not required unless you are part of the military. This is because Mumble is where most of our conversations happen, and if you aren't in there, you really will not get integrated into the community as much as we would like. Mumble does offer text chat options and if everyone in-game is using Mumble then you can likely reply to comments on the Mumble via our in-game chat as well.

Mumble Information:
Address: 74.201.57.188
Port: 64738

Help Us Build Something Bigger!

Greetings future Pathfinder! The Dwarves of Forgeholm bid you “Welcome” and invite you to join us in building something big in the River Kingdoms!

Pathfinder Online is a game with a long horizon, and planning for the future is critical to the success of any settlement, alliance, or Kingdom. The Dwarves of Forgeholm, and their friends of all races, invite you to join us as we build a successful settlement with the intention of expanding our presence and power in the hills of the River Kingdoms.

We Dwarves are a tight knit group that will defend Forgeholm and each other. Armor-smithing and weapon-smithing skills are being honed and the nearby hills are being mined for iron ore, silver, gold and lodestone. Great things are happening and you can be part of it! In the coming months we will be tasked with rebuilding our settlement from the ground up with resources from the local area. Skilled craftsmen and craftswomen will plan, design, and construct our keep, cathedral, fighter school, paladins’ temple and other buildings using our trained architects, carpenters and stonemasons. You could be one of these builders and make something great where there was once nothing.

It is expected that large armies will be forming up to fight for riches, power and glory. Be a field marshal and direct masses of troops in formation combat, lead a skirmishing party to wreak havoc on enemy archers, or operate siege equipment and batter down the walls of enemy settlements. Individual heroes are needed as well to fight in glorious hand to hand combat, wield the power of arcane magic, heal troops in battle or assassinate enemy leaders.

Soon we will begin exploring the mysterious caves and cavern complexes in and around the Echo Wood, seeking out powerful enemies and ancient treasure, and rumor has it there are riches beyond belief in the Emerald Spire, a very dangerous place to adventure and is only for the brave, or foolhardy.

Dwarves are known for their patience, toughness, long-term planning, and are friends of the Elves and Humans, Gnomes and Halflings. (Orcs and half-orcs need not apply.) Many members of our settlement came for solitude, repentance, or redemption, but we all have the same goal; make Forgeholm great!

Come join us!

Can also post your companies at PF Online HQ

There is a Company database feature on PF Online HQ here -> http://www.pathfinderonlinehq.com/players/companies - you can register and then can post and manager your own company page on that site.

A new feature displays rolling/random promos of the listed on companies on other pages on the site so that companies can get some exposure while people are looking up crafting info, etc.

Settlement: Hope's End

I'm taking a last ditch attempt at reviving my settlement concept, we need more Evil! I have a few people but not quite enough to break into the top 33. If interested in helping bring a different brand of Evil to the River Kingdoms contact me via the methods listed below and if we have enough interest I'll revive the settlement.

Settlement: Hope's End Alignment: Neutral Evil Leadership: Oligarchy Founding Company: Vox Silentii

Purpose: Provide an independent haven for all those that walk the darker path. Become the hub for underhanded contractors, questionable merchants, and followers of things decidedly unholy. We will heavily focus on training and supporting any aspect that is mechanically considered evil and therefore restricted for most other settlements.

Company Membership: Any company that meets the alignment perquisites (LE,NE,CE,TN) may join. Companies (and individuals for that matter) are free to come and go or participate in settlement management as little or as much as they wish. Company agency is left to their respective members.

Politics: None, we do not kneel and we do not seek expansion. Deals may be made from time to time, but they will not be of such a manner as to tie the entire settlement to another or restrict it's companies from conducting their business within reason.

General Rules: Anyone is free to enter our settlement and do business within it's walls. As the mechanics are still somewhat unknown we will aim towards the lightest touch to maintain order. We're evil, not anarchists, take your fights outside. That said, reputation goes a long way even with us, keep yourself in good standing and you'll have less problems.

Any questions can be directed to this thread, via PM, or email at Vox.Silentii.PFO@gmail.com

Join us, and together we can build a more wretched hive of scum and villainy than the River Kingdoms have ever seen.

Help the Dwarves find Rookwarden!

Forgeholm is the Dwarven settlement in the lowlands of the River Kingdoms. We are on the Crusader Road to establish a foothold while we quest to find and reclaim the lost Dwarven fortress of Rookwarden. Our Dwarven brother Deigal and his clan founded Rookwarden ages ago, and he and his brethren quarried the finest marble, granite and precious quartz for thousands of miles (in fact there is no better marble to be found in the world).

Sadly, Deigal had to abandon the fortress to save his clan after the Red Revolution in Galt shuttered his most profitable market. After Deigal's clan departed, Rookwarden was overrun by all sorts of fouls creatures and beasts and after many decades they have taken root. We Dwarves have been commissioned by the Council of the Five Kings to reclaim Rookwarden for the Dwarves, but it will not be an easy task, and we will need stout folk in the endeavor.

Forgeholm is recruiting Dwarves and Dwarf friends, be they Gnome, Human, Halfling or Elf. Half-orcs need not apply, as we Dwarves have a long history with the orcs and will not suffer their kind. There will be many other settlements in the River Kingdoms competing for resources so if you have an interest in mining, weapon and armor crafting, gems and jewelry, or engineering look us up. We also have some Dwarves who study the arcane arts as we expect to need a variety of talents in the months and years ahead!

Join Forgeholm!

Elkhaven Settlement recruiting members and Chartered Companies

Edit: The settlement of Elkhaven Folded near the end of the landrush. Erastil's Irregulars have resettled in Stoneroot Glade and can be found in Company search under "Irregulars".

The Settlement of Elkhaven, and her Chartered Companies Erastil's Irregulars, Green Mountain Militia, and The Vigilant are seeking comrades and companies alike to swell our ranks and help make our settlement the premier place to be seen in Pathfinder Online.

We have a solid background of good aligned players who will strive to protect the region from incursion by dangers from the wild, while defending our borders from interlopers. All of this while striving for a fun and friendly environment that treats everyone with respect and dignity. We have a wide variety of roles to fill, and have a solid and secure spot in the game, with an all-but-guaranteed start settlement with it's accompanying capacity to train and improve. Through close relationships with other groups, we expect to offer an excellent environment where your character can advance as fits your hopes and dreams.

The Echo Woodsmen - Sustainable Harvesting & Protectors of the Forest

The Echo Woodsmen is a sponsored company of Phaeros, and run by a very solid core group of RL friends with decades of gaming experience between us. We're mature, friendly, team oriented, and very interested in promoting a positive atmosphere within Pathfinder Online.

We're recruiting anyone who is interested in protecting the forest and roleplaying the use of sustainable harvesting methods to receive the gifts that the forest grants us while helping to increase the health of the biome. Druids and rangers would feel at home with our group, as would anyone who prefers the forest to the walls of cities. We have several members who plan to roleplay as lumber jacks or hunters while building their characters with a mainly martial or gathering focus. We also have a few arcane casters, and even an aristocrat. Crafters and refiners count themselves among the ranks of The Echo Woodsmen, giving us another avenue of income, and we will stake our claim and take over a tower within the first day or two of Early Enrollment.

Come visit The Echo Woodsmen and learn more about us. You can also PM Uthreth Baelcoressitas on the Pathfinder Online forums. We're happy to answer any questions you might have, and we usually have members on the Seventh Veil TeamSpeak server most nights hanging out in the Public Lobby channel. We look forward to meeting you!
