This is my first Vanda orchid! Is that a much awaited for flower spike?
My mom let her friend babysit my orchid for a week while i was gone and it came back with mostly dead roots and a huge leaf fell off. What can i do to help it recover should i cut the dead roots?

I decided to experiment with putting an orchid in leca!
There's actually a small weirdly shaped pot inside that the roots can cling on to, and the rest is filled in with leca.
This is so far my healthiest orchid!
I have a bad watering schedule due to my ADHD so most of my plants barely make it by every few weeks, but despite having the same watering cycle as all my other orchids, this one has the stiffest leaves of em all!
All those crusty roots are the old ones. You can see the new ones doing really well and looking healthy! Hopefully I get some flowers one day!
What are your guys' opinions on this?
These are brand new to me and much smaller than im used to for any orchid species. I’m not sure how to care for these!

I’ve had orchids for a little over a year and was anxiously awaiting to see them bloom. It took a while…my first orchid still hasn’t put out a bloom although I do think I see a spike coming in (yay). This mini Phal was the first of my handful of orchids to grow a spike and bloom. The spike kind of grew in an awkward position but she’s a beauty anyway! All 3 bulbs have finally bloomed and I wanted to share it. The last time I posted this Phal, the first of the 3 bulbs had bloomed.
I'm new to orchids and I got a lovely one that had twelve blooms across two stems. One of the stems has lost all its flowers, which I know is normal, and changing colors to a brownish yellow, while the other stem, which still has four flowers, is a beautiful green. Am I doing this wrong? Or is this normal? Please help my plant child!
I use about 1/4 of water once a week to feed it and do an orchid fertilizer spray every two weeks and keep my home at a temperature that doesn't dip below 65 degrees Fahrenheit. I also keep it near indirect sunlight.
