iโm assuming just by looking at it that this paph is done for ๐ญ the roots are fine, but WHAT is going on with her stem??
Gongora quinquenervis with two 30in long flower stems with 25+ blooms on each stalk!
Was wondering whether I could get some advice here. I had a pseudobulb growing all winter and had it potted. This week, I noticed O was probably overwatering as my new growth seems to have died. I removed all medium to dry the roots as best I could but now wondering- should I repot? Or leave it for a week or so to see if new roots grow? Thanks so much for any advice ๐๐๐๐
Are these roots healthy or not? How should I proceed?
A few weeks back I received 3 species orchids heavily infested with mealy bugs. After a bath in 91% isopropyl alcohol and a few days later 3% hydrogen peroxide treatment of the roots all is well.
I took a piece of a root and loaded it onto an SEM. Some of the white stuff appeared to be villi in structure and regular repetition with the plant cells. A non-overlapping structure from cell to cell. I couldnโt find anything using villi and wondered if there is a distinction for this or if it is a different pest for orchids. I forgot to collect elemental compositions and can give that a go in the future when the chance arises.
Any direction would be appreciated.
Got this phal hybrid orchid from Bunnings yesterday, and after I got home I noticed that it has these yellowishโฆ dust-like patterns on the leaves. I havenโt been able to find out what this could be on Google, should I be worried? I tried wiping the tops of the leaves gently with a damp paper towel thinking it could just be dust but itโs remained on the plant, and I donโt want to get too rough trying to get it off if itโs harmless. This is my second houseplant ever so any advice would be appreciated, thank you!
Hi everyone. I inherited this large-ish Cattleya. it's in a 5 inch pot. It flowers. But, it's grown out into a large propeller shape. Ha. Recs on if I can, and should divide and re-pot into smaller ones that are in a more vertical orientation?
