With no third party support with the notable exception of iMagic, and out dated hardware, Odyssey2 managed to sell over one million untit until it was removed from the market in 1983.
A planned successor, Odyssey3 was developed but never released to the console market crash of 1983-84. A version was released in Europe as the Philips Videopac + G7400. Such games are not compatible with Odyssey2.

I've been questing for tokens for the game, I've found files to print some Here. I can replace my missing nightmare now, but I've been unable to find a file for the castle tokens :( I'm missing all 6 Crystal Caverns. I've been looking for a while now and I've had no luck. I don't want to buy another just to rub two sets together. Wondering if anyone has seen these files anywhere.
Hi, I just wanted to ask Where I can buy a complete Philips Videopac in Italy for 500 euros?
(With at least 3 boxed games)

Have been scratching around the Internet looking for a multicart solution for my newly acquired Videopac, but it's slim pickings out there. Packrat is not taking new orders. There's the Backbit option, but price is a tad steep and shipping is from the US.
Are there any options this side of the pond, or at least in mainland Europe? Am a bit surprised there aren't more options given its popularity on the continent.
My curiosity is killing me, I dont know how to get the balloon past the low wall near the exit. If anyone sees this down the line, please let me know.
Heya - I "inherited" a console and a huge collection (35) of games for the Odyssey 2 (came with a house we bought), also the voice attachment and joysticks.
The console works (shows a pic on TV and I can interact with a game) but I don't know much about it and don't have an interest in keeping it.
If you're interested to buy it - contact me - I'm local in the SF Bay Area and I'm happy to show it. I also listed it on eBay if you want it shipped.
I'll sell it for a very reasonable price to someone who's into these!
I don’t recall my original having this type of connection. Thanks.
I’m finally getting another O2 after nearly forty years. Are there any multicarts or HDMI converters out there? Thanks.
Anyone have any suggestions for a portable game console for o2em. Looking for something on a budget. Just has to be good enough to run odyssey 2 games, I don't care if it's not powerful enough to run anything else.
I was reading an old issue of "Odyssey Adventure" with "Turtles" on the cover. On the bottom of the cover it said that "Turtles is a trademark of Konami" and it kind of blew my mind. Looking up the wiki I found out that it is actually a port of an arcade game and from what I can tell, it is a pretty good one at that! I have always loved the game and now I MUST play the arcade version. Anyone have any ideas how I might be able to play this relatively easy on a PC? Like bundles with a start-up emulator or something? The game seems so very obscure.
I've been a mod for quite a few of the retrogaming (and other adjacent) subs here for a long time -- even if kind of dormant recently. I love these topics, and how our digital "ancestors" solved hard problems, and how we've build a continuum of interest with their work. I started and even took over a few dormant subs and worked with /u/zadocpaet to help build a broad community here, even appealing to niche systems.
The mod teams are doing a great job, especially /u/Derf_Jagged. I feel like now is a good time to step down. I'm going to continue to lurk, and be a regular user and I wish the subs, the mods, and the users the best!
I know the game came out a few years before the movie hit theaters, but I was curious to know if there is any sort of correlation between the two since the titles for both are practically the same.
I came across this screenshot on Twitter but don’t see the creator of the screenshot. It looks like a remake of Quest for the Rings.
Does anyone know anything about this?
That serial number you will find it in all cases on the back side of the printed item, to the bottom left or right.
First of all, I am so glad there is an actual subreddit for this machine. I had it brand new as a kid and remember clear as day playing "Quest for the Rings" all the time with my Dad. I also remember playing KC Munchkin a lot and programming my own mazes.
I am mad I missed out on that nice set another Redditor was selling in this group, I will use an Emulator to in the meantime until I find another one for sale.
So my question...I am trying to use O2EM to play KC Munchkin and program my own mazes. Seems I need to use the CLEAR key to remove unwanted lines. What key on the Keyboard is used as the CLEAR key? I don't see a reference to it in the readme file or the launcher. Any ideas?
Thanks for the your help and I hope one day soon I can get my hands on an actual unit!
