Hello, I was playing Zelda on my 2ds XL yesterday, and my friend wanted to play it, so I let him play it, but my friend dropped my 2ds XL and it broke. I'm trying to fix it, but the symptom is that it turns on and then suddenly turns off, and the screen doesn't come on. I don't know how to fix it, but if you could tell me, I would appreciate it.
Years ago my dad bought me a used NDS lite, as he could get it cheap and with two games (I still own Pokemon Plat thanks to him, but that's a different story). The hinge on it was cracked, but still worked although it had some body damage. The bottom screen was scratched horribly, I'm not sure if the mic worked. Despite all that it worked and I could play what limited array of games I had.
It's spent the last couple of years in the attic, where I found it a few days back and decided to bring it back to life.
It was all dirty, yellowed and gunky, so I decided to open it up, give it a clean and maybe buy a new screen to replace the old one. Unfortunately, due to my inexperience and carelessness I broke off the plastic hinge on the power switch. I tried attatching it back on to no avail. It sort of works if you push it with a screwdriver or some such, but that won't suffice with the body on.
At this point I'm pretty much ready to give up on it. The body damage, the hinge and now the damaged power switch. I don't have the tools to solder on a new switch and having it repaired by someone else will probably cost me more than getting a new handheld all together.
I'm not usually sentimental, but it brings me back to my childhood and good memories with my dad. On the other it's pretty much dead and I always wanted a newer handheld anyway.
I will appreciate any opinion or insight.
title
Which are the pros and cons of using one or the other? Any difference on loading speeds? Compatibility?
Basically the title. I've had success blowing into the slots and cleaning the contacts of my DS games with isopropyl alcohol in the past, but I'm hesitant to try it again since this time both the DS and the GBA slots aren't reading.
This started a couple charges after switching out my old battery (which wasn't leaking or anything, but was getting a bit swollen for my liking) for one of the cheapo ones on Amazon. It still turns on fine, at least. I was thinking of trying to put my old chubby battery back in, but wanted to see if anyone else has had similar issues before first.
Thanks for your time! And sorry if this isn't the right sub for it.
I've been thinking this for a while now and i want to know if a 3ds is worth it. the games i want to get is pokemon ultrasun and mario 3d world, but im open for recomendations. the current price for a 3ds is $143 so should i get one?
I wanna know if I can get a re label for my pokemon black. The label is so bad but the game works and I just want to know if there’s a spot that has authentic real re labels that make it hold the same exact value. Thank you!!!
I want to go back to my old games, but don’t have the heart to mod my childhood DS or ds lite. I see really cool USB C mods and screen upgrades online, where is the best place to get a pre made one?
Also I already have a software modded 3DS and DSi but I want an original to play my old GBA carts :)
So i have a copy of each pokemon series game, ive a few of the mainline mario games, any other games that youd recommend?
