I want to buy one because I never had the chance of hyper-old android (oldest ive used is Jelly Bean) and i want to experience what the old times were like when i was using ios.
Boxed with unopened accessories. I remember this having a fault with charging but either than that it’s a perfect.
Well folks I finally killed my 6P to death. Guess who's making a comeback until I can get a Moto X4 delivered! Damn thing is still working even on the original battery. Now I just have to find a way to get a nano sim card into it.
I have a working nexus one with the original stock android os on it. I'd like to revive it with a fresher look etc, a I'm bit clueless. Is there an alternate os (I read a lot about cynogen mod but also that its dead?). Have some questions I was hoping to get some advice on:
Is there a preferred alternate os for the nexus one?
Are there simple guides for that explan what I'd need to do to the phone and the tools I might need on my computer to make all this happen?
Is this the right community for this kind of advice or is there another place to post these kinds of questions. I expect I'll run into some challenges once I get started, and it would be great to find a place with helpful people to get answers.
Hey my phone is no longer reliable. Sometimes it will last all day, other times it will shut down after 30 minutes of use. What's going on? I bought it from Google on the release date.
Hi r/android,
XDA user J0SH1X is trying to port Lineage 14.1 to the nexus one
https://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-one/development/lineage-14-1-t3552349
He was able to build from lineage source but in order to flash requires twrp 3.x.
Would anyone be able to give him a hand in this?
Thanks

Obviously it's hard to Google anything for Nexus One phone--they're so old, I know I know! I just wonder if T-Mobile is phasing out old technology or changed a setting that only impacts certain phones. But again, I haven't been able to find posts about it anywhere.
Using stock everything.
I bought my Nexus One in January 2010, and it's still serving me faithfully, both in the US and on a trip to the UK.
It's scratched up, only runs Android 2.36, is perpetually short on storage (I had to delete a couple apps to install the Uber app, may delete Uber to get them back), but I'm happy with the form factor, the utility, and, now, all the memories of times it has come in handy. I suspect I'll be replacing it soon, though I may wait until it won't boot up before I do. That little 'droid and I have been through a lot together.
Any other Nexus One loyalists still out there?
Everytime the Facebook app updates it sucks up even more of my precious internal space. It is currently using 41MB!?! At this rate, FB will soon be too large to install even if nothing else is installed.
Any suggestions? I am thinking of uninstalling it and just using facebook messenger + the mobile site?
Or maybe someone knows a hack to force it onto the SD card?
I mostly just want to be able to receive facebook chat on my phone, and check the location of events I am going to.
I recently upgraded from my trusty N1 to the N4. 1 week later I lent my old phone to a friend and their SIM burnt out and fried my phone, literally. There's even smoke behind the screen.
So, I have 2 batteries available if anyone would like them. You just need to pay for postage from Western Australia.
Send me PM if you're interested
Any one else with an aging N1 have the issue where, when the battery completely drains and it shuts itself down, it gets stuck on and vibrating until you press the power button yourself?
It's woken me up in the wee hours of the morning more often than I can count in recent weeks, and I'm wondering if there's something I can do to keep it from doing that in the event that I forget to charge it, at least until the N4 I ordered the other day comes in.
Hi, my battery is starting to last less and less longer and I am thinking about replacing it. Any Advice?
Of course I checked amazon and likes but it seems you can never be sure if the battery will be a genuine original one. I also checked seidio but read reviews no so satisfied about it.
Here are the entry level requirements..

The Nexus One has a Snapdragon processor that uses the ARMv7 instruction set like the Cortex A9. The Nexus One only has 512 MB Storage, but maybe a microSD card can be used instead.
The phone works perfectly in every respect. I am the original owner. All of the original packaging and charger etc are included.
This one was built for T-Mobile (3G). It will work on AT&T but only with 2G data speed.
I love this phone and hate to part with it but I cannot use T-Mobile where I live.
$100.
Hi guys, actually i'm using Cyanogen 7.2 (Android 2.3.7). Is there a "stable" (daily usage) ICS/JB ROM for our Nexus One? Suggestions? Opinions?
I have seen this: Evervolv Jellybean w/ nightly builds
My Nexus One used to be on 3G 24/7 and I used to get a battery backup of 1.25 to 1.5 days. However since in past 3 weeks while on 3G battery drains 5-8% an hour. If I switch to 2G only, battery drain is roughly 1% per hr. Phone has been rooted and is running Texasice ICS ROM. Following are the things that I have tried without any improvements
I installed Current widget to log the battery usage, while on 2G, phone uses an average 90 - 99mA. When I switch to 3G battery drain shoots up to 250 - 400 mA.
GPS and Wifi are always off.
Any help suggestions to improve the battery performance?
Always been happy with Nexus One for past two years, but after having low battery overnight off charger, today my phone only boots up to the 3 skateboarding androids and boot screen. From here, the VOL buttons and Power button don't do anything, eg i can't move through the list of options (BOOTLOADER, REBOOT, REBOOT BOOTLOADER, POWER DOWN). Plugging into laptop registers FASTBOOT USB title, but still I can't select anything.
I've been reading all about the broken power button issue. I don't believe mine is broken yet, as I can use it to power on, but I always go straight to Fastboot screen, where I can't do anything.
Bah!

Ok so, my friend was playing with my phone and he attempted the wrong unlock pattern too many times. So now it asks me for my google account which I have but when I put it in it tells me its invalid... I checked my account on my computer and it works perfectly and my phone even shows up when I go to google play :(
I woke up this morning to the Jelly Bean Update for my Nexus S. Just wanted to drop a heads up for all you Nexus S users!
And what kernels go well with Cyanogenmod 7.2?
