Mum's bag got snached inside Jesmond Stockland near CommBank atm. Did anyone see it happen and if yes, did the thieves throw her bag somewhere?

Where still in shocked state. Any advise of what to do would help a lot. Thanks

Maitland area property managers

Hi all,

Looking for a solid property management agency to manage a property in the Maitland area.

Would love to hear who current investors in the area use and would recommend.

Please include fee structure if possible.

TIA

I hate the lax attitudes people have towards cheating…

Is it just me or is Newcastle exceptionally bad for infidelity and using casual hookup sites?? I've lived in quite a few different places around Australia and UK, but it just seems to be a whole lot worse here.

Resinc Solar

I had a very enthusiastic door to door salesman yesterday from Resinc Solar. Advising they have been installing in the area. He was boasting about all the solar they have installed for SLS clubs on the central coast. He was very pushy. They have a heap of great google and Facebook reviews. Just not sure if they are legit. Door-to-door gives me red flags..

Has anyone delt with them?

Vacant ‘private’ business building???

Hey guys!! How exactly do these private companies all over the CBD work? I’m not well versed yet on the land of the wealthy. Are you able to hold title for land that you aren’t actually using, though claim it is being used for business purposes?

Has anyone here taken the train to Brisbane from Newcastle? If so how would you rate it?

My partner and I are thinking of taking the train up to Brisbane in January and we were wondering if anyone has had experience on that trip and how it went for them, thank you!

Re-locating to Hunter region

Hi Everyone,

I need some help, as i have no idea on what to look for or even what to do. I want to relocate to the hunter region, I don't have a rental history as I've lived with my parents. I would be leaving a rural area and coming to more urban area if that helps. I am familiar with the Cameron Park and Glendale area. I really just need someone to talk too. To help me step by step if possible.

Shopping Centre Chaos

The loud bangs are out in force at the moment. Charlestown Square fire last week and Kotara Westfield yesterday. How much do we rely on these places? How much would Christmas be ruined if they had to close?

Can anyone help me remember the name of this Spanish restaurant that I went to in 2018. I am pretty sure it's closed now.

Fear of fast food

This is a little bit of a paranoid take but I can't get the image of watching a co-worker fart on a snack wrap out of my head from when I worked at Mcdonalds. It's haunted me my whole life and now I don't order fast food because of it. Is it a rational fear?

ADHD support group for young adults

Hello! I am a 21 yr old student who has severe inattentive adhd. I am looking for a support group to feel supported and not alone, as I am really struggling at the moment. Is there an ADHD support group at the university of Newcastle or some other?

Welder or fabricator for a small job - where?

Hello, just wondering if anyone knows a smaller welder or fabricator shop that I can drop into for a quick job. Lower mount for a lawnmower handle has broken, just need 3-4cm of weld to repair it, actually other side has already been repaired in such a way.

What kind of price is reasonable for that?

I could likely ask a family member to help, but if I can just drop in and get someone else to do it without being too expensive, I'd prefer to do that.

Best foot specialists in the area, esp for chronic foot pain?

Title. Had an injury in the first week of January at work and I'm not exactly satisfied with my compo insurance given the fact it's been 11 months and I'm in constant pain still. I want to see a specialist outside of my claim because so far I don't even really have a diagnosis for the ongoing pain in what was at first my right ankle and now my left as well. Need a specialist that won't run me out after five minutes with a referral to someone that can't see me for 4 months. Hopefully not a surgeon. I think I have post injury arthritis. Thank you kindly cunce.

Anyone know where I can go to get my electric keyboard repaired?

I have a Yamaha Clavinova and some of the keys aren't working properly (they're playing super loud). I asked Musos corner about it but they're not doing keyboard repairs apparently. They recommended me some other service, and they said THEY weren't doing it either. So anyone got ideas?

Shopping Centre carparking time extension.

Just wondering if anyone can confirm for shopping centres, especially Charlestown and Kotara, driving out then back in immediately resets the parking 3 hour limit?

Mowers

Haven't lived in a place with more than a tiny patch of grass in a long time. Planning on getting a basic mower soon so we dont have to get someone round regularly.

With the weather the way it's been and grass growing pretty quickly, I expect to be mowing pretty regularly over the warmer months to keep it neat and tidy and have both a back and front yard, not huge but not tiny either. Don't have much cash so I'm wondering if any of the cheaper cordless mowers would actually be worth it, probably go for one that takes 2 batteries to hopefully do the whole mow in one job. Or is it better to go for a petrol mower if I'm not in a position to spend much?

Thoughts? Tips? Reviews?

More crazies than usual

Far more violent attacks than usual. Maybe not in quantity but certainly severity. I’ve experienced more harassment at work, on public transport and on the streets than ever.
Is this a result of poverty or a bad batch of amphetamines going around? The city is starting to look and behave like Joker 1 Just walk down the far east end of Hunter St 🤨

Any recommendations for kids swimming clinics?

Can anyone recommend a place for a 10 year old who never really learned good swimming technique due to lessons cancelled during covid? She can swim freestyle, but no other strokes. A quick search has turned up lambton pool for stroke correction. Has anyone had any good or bad experiences here, or what are our options? Thanks!
