Black or White 2014 movie with Kevin Costner:

This movie is currently playing on Netflix.

Black or White is a 2014 American drama film written and directed by Mike Binder. The film stars Kevin Costner, Octavia Spencer, Gillian Jacobs, Jennifer Ehle, Anthony Mackie and Bill Burr. The film premiered at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival and was released in the United States on January 30, 2015. Elliot Anderson (Costner) is widowed following the death of his wife. Elliot, who is an alcoholic, is now left to raise his mixed-race granddaughter, Eloise - who attends a prestigious private school. As Elliot appears to be a struggling alcoholic lawyer trying to take over from his wife’s responsibilities...the child's black grandmother, Rowena, is aware that Elliot depended on his wife to care for Eloise and was not directly involved in raising her. Rowena then sought legal counsel and sued to have Eloise brought under the care of herself and Eloise’s father...Rowena's son, Reggie, who is addicted to crack, and whom Elliot blames for the negligence that led to the death of his daughter, Eloise’s mother. Elliot, along with every other character in this movie, feeds every stereotype that any poorly educated white supremacist would comprehend in such a situation. Costner’s character uses the “N” word several times throughout the film; each time is apparently “acceptable” by the African Americans in this film. Black or White is based off of a true story from Mike Binder’s life.

The actors must have been so broke that it was either this film or commercials.

This movie is beyond talentless. It is beyond underdeveloped.

I am embarrassed for every single person who contributed to the making of this film.

People Power

If you are as unhappy as I am with the new thumbs up or down system, what can we do ? There is a way, tell everyone you know, repost this message, just DO NOT USE THE RATING AT ALL from here on out! (You'll still get suggestions of stuff to watch.) In essence it's a way for the consumer to Vote- But a hell of a lot of us would have to do it. Cmon people! It would be the only way for them to listen to us. Bring back the star system Netfix!!!

Just a reminder that this sub still exists.

Hey guys, it's me, Nick, the creator of this sub, just reminding y'all that this sub is still around. We actually quit our Netflix subscription for the time being, so I can't create any Netflex fuck ups for now. However, I'd really like to see y'all create some. I created them in MS Paint, and they turned out pretty good. They're easy to make, and it's actually pretty fun trying to find the best combination of movie and movie description to match up.

I still check every now and again, and I'd love to see more posts on it, so, please, post away!
