Holy shit, didn’t expect to have such an existential crisis and question everything from this anime. Those last few episodes were an emotional boxing match that left me stunned.

My opinion of that purple hair woman dropped into the negatives when she said "Get in" when Shinji looked at her for help. I can tell she's trying to make up for him later but not acknowledging what he's been through is not how to do it... Is she acting as a mother figure for him? She feels more like a messy aunt... Also what's with that random penguin?

I know that having people around him after... that experience, is the best for him but from what seems to be a city-view room into a single apartment... Shinji... you did not get a good deal...

You know, I was really happy when he ran away. I though he can find some peace of mind, away from the robots and fake people around him... God I was wrong.

Shinji frowning at the couple being happy and touchy with each other... I wonder what that says about his state of mind and how he views relationship with others.

I'm starting to see Shinji as the type of people who will temporarily be distracted from their own misery to help and focuses on someone else's pain. He can see that his class mate's past and understand his pain. Why can't he understand what he feels is also pain?

See! SEE! He's exactly the kind to put others before himself! I don't know how he can whole heartly protect and endure pain for someone he barely knows! The first few minutes kinda gives a a good idea how they work in defence but it still feels like they're just buying time until the kids is going to fight again. And Rei! Although this episode talks a lot more about her, she still feels mysterious. But I do like her a lot more! Her military talk was so cute! And her smile! Did she just imprinted on Shinji? Oh well, it's a healthier option anyways! AAAAAHHH! I wanna give both of them a hug! Poor kids, they've been through too much for their age!!
