I'm from the Ninjago fandom! My sister grew up with MLP and I noticed a LOT of similarities between the two shows!

First of all, both have their complex lore with goofy kids show camp and real life lessons. They both have fights, actions, and capture good depth that more kids shows should.

Both of the shows were cast in Toronto and they share many of the same voice actors from that scene. Vincent Tony, Kelly Metzger, Brian Drummond, Mark Oliver, Tabitha Germain, Kathleen Barr, Andrew Francis, and the three Dobson brothers (Michael, Paul, and Brian Dobson). I think there are even more than that.

Some of the voice directors and writers are also similar. One writer of Ninjago season 15 wrote MLP season 8. The head writer behind Ninjago currently as I understand (Doc Wyatt) wrote an episode in MLP season 9.

In fact, the animation studio DHX (now known as WildBrain) animated most of MLP and the last 5 seasons of Ninjago. So the two shows share many animators!

Some of the characters in Ninjago and some of the characters in MLP remind me of each other: Celestia - Wu Kai - Rainbow Dash Jay - Pinkie Pie Zane - Twilight Sparkle Nya - Rarity (in some ways) Cole - Applejack Sad Lloyd and Fluttershy noises

Both started in the early 2010s. Both are still going! Ninjago has a continuation show with new characters and new stories. MLP has a new gen. I've been interested in watching MLP for awhile and I think I might sit down and do it one day because of all the elements it shares with Ninjago which is my favorite show ever.

Oh and also, 6 main elements in both shows. (Ninjago starts with four main elements by the end of season 5, there are six).

So I was wondering if there is overlap between fans of My Little Pony and Lego Ninjago. What is your guys opinion on Ninjago if you have seen it?

I'm not the most caught-up fan on the show and I get that Pinkie Pie isn't really in coordination with her cutie mark but I'm not sure why her Amish parents would've named her that anyway. There's also the Cutie Mark Crusaders which don't directly enthrall besides I guess their personalities. Sweetie Belle can sing so her talent is music (Maybe because Belle to bell, but I'd rather have professionals comment), Apple Bloom just has an apple, and Scootaloo just has a bolt to signify I guess her confidence? Also, there's Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon which are literally just their names slapped on their flanks. Is it really just destiny to the name or am I far off?

The YouTubers oc was a black pony with a red hat. I remember he was in some YouTube drama and people found him annoying. I'm pretty sure he went to vidcon and his roommates at the hotel had an orgy without his knowledge. I remember he got really pissed when his irl red hat replica was put in a toilet.

What songs would you put in a 1.5 hour stage show of MLP, SpongeBob The Musical style? I would imagine each Mane 6 has their own song, plus maybe the princesses and Spike. I know the Smile would be Pinkie's and Generosity would be Rarity's but the other 4 I'm not sure. What are your thoughts?

I don't have a scanner BUT I recently got the ToE Dice sets (all three of them) and documented the mini-adventures in Google Docs. I was thinking of typing out all the adventures I have in my specific collection of Tails of Equestria since I'm a bit afraid of losing them both physically and to an extent digially (finding proper archives of them is a weird thing and I didn't find one SPECIFICALLY for the dice mini-ventures). So since I got those three types out, should I- or CAN I even post them here? If I get scans, I can even add them to the google doc but that may take a while.

I'm just not sure I can share them here or not though. I would appreciate a direct answer.

Alicorn (link here: https://www.fimfiction.net/story/19341/alicorn) is an MLP fanfic that's been around for years, but I myself only discovered it last year. It is set in an alternate universe of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic. It diverges from canon somewhere in the middle of season 2, though certain episodes in later seasons have also happened.

Here's some info on how it starts (spoiler alert and please note i do not own the story)

The story starts with Rainbow Dash having an awful headache which gradually gets worse and worse over the course of an entire week, no matter how much she tries to ignore it or many painkillers she takes. She also starts of having strange dreams of being separated from her mother, whom she vaguely remembers as having white fur and singing a beautiful lullaby to her.

Eventually, Rainbow’s blinding headache gets so bad that she collapses. Furthermore, a mysterious wound appears on her forehead that was not caused by the fall. Big Mac and Applejack take Rainbow Dash to the hospital while Applebloom fetches Twilight, who performs a spell on Rainbow to make her sleep to ease her pain. However, the spell only partially works: Rainbow remains half-conscious and becomes so delirious with pain that she repeatedly calls out for her mother. Twilight wants to find Rainbow’s parents, but Applejack sadly explains that they died six years ago when Rainbow was only eleven, as they were already old and sickly when she was an infant.

Twilight calls in several doctors and even Zecora, but no matter what they do or try to do, they cannot cure Rainbow’s agonizing headache, nor can they determine the cause of the wound on her forehead. Twilight and her friends stay by Rainbow’s side, but her cries and sobs of tortured agony and her calls for her mother are almost too much to bear.

Eventually, Twiliight, in desperation, writes a letter to Princess Celestia, explaining Rainbow’s condition and begging her to come and help her. Celestia responds immediately and arrives at the hospital, looking and sounding uncharacteristically frightened, which unnerves Twilight. Celestia comforts the half-conscious Rainbow Dash and reveals a shocking truth: CELESTIA is Rainbow Dash’s biological mother!

Minutes later, the cause of Rainbow’s headache and the wound on her forehead is revealed: a long, slender horn grows out of it!

Celestia stays by Rainbow’s side for three days, comforting her and singing to her as the blue Pegasus sleeps while recovering from the pain of growing her alicorn horn. When Rainbow finally wakes up, Celestia reveals the truth about her parentage and how she was born. Seventeen years ago, while Luna was still trapped in the moon, Celestia, who was lonely and emotionally closed-off from her subjects and still guilt-ridden over banishing her own sister, met a male Earth pony who was the first creature to make her laugh in centuries. Celestia and the male pony had an affair, which resulted in Celestia becoming pregnant with and giving birth to Rainbow Dash, whom she gave the birth name of Aurora. Like all alicorns in this universe, Aurora wasn’t born with a horn and for unknown reasons, did not grow one within the first few months of her birth as most alicorns do. Partly because she believed the life of a royal would be unsuitable for the hornless Aurora, but mostly because she was scared about the responsibility and the emotional burden of raising and loving a child of her own, Celestia gave up Aurora to be adopted by a kindly, elderly Pegasus couple: the ones Rainbow grew up believing were her real parents.

Understandably, Rainbow Dash does NOT take the news well: she is heartbroken and furious to learn that Princess Celestia-the wise, kind and powerful ruler of Equestria whom she respected so deeply-is her biological mother, abandoned her as a filly, NEVER told her they were related even though they personally met SEVERAL times, and ONLY told her the truth when she grew a horn. Celestia is genuinely remorseful and profusely apologizes, but Rainbow refuses to forgive her. The news that her own mother abandoned her as a filly makes Rainbow’s secret insecurities about never being good enough even worse than before.

Review

The rest of the fanfic deals with Rainbow Dash and her friends dealing with the revelation of her parentage and her new alicorn, which has changed Rainbow's life forever. It's a pretty good fanfic; well-written, well-paced, and emotionally powerful with complex and interesting characters.

Which pony would you give each miraculous/kwami and why?

Personally My Favourite pony is Twilight Sparkle. As she went from a smart, distant pony to a smart and friendly one. She had so good character development, I think learning about friendship really did change her! As it did lead her too becoming the princess of friendship. Shes kind, sweet, although a bit anxious, and just is a great pony. I normally don't chose main characters as my favorites but as a hardcore my little pony fan I do LOLL <3

Rainbow Dash if you don't leave your friends right now everyone you know and love will die and than proceeds to show her a vision of her hometown literally crumbling and falling out of the sky where her parents live by the way!
