I would really appreciate some help 𼲠it has been bugging me for a while.
The quote goes something like: âThey have everything, everything is for them, and this one thing, this one thing is oursâ âTheyâ referring to men âOursâ referring to women And I CANâT figure out where itâs from.
Please help!!! Thanks :)
Iâm trying to remember what show or movie this quote is from. They talk about eating alone on Thanksgiving or something. The quote loosely goes something like, âI go to the Olive Garden alone on Thanksgiving. They say âwhen youâre here, youâre familyâ, but they donât really mean it.â I can picture the scene vaguely in my head, but canât put it all together.
Words offer the means to meaning, and for those who will listen, the enunciation of truth. And the truth is, there is something terribly wrong with this country, isn't there? Cruelty and injustice, intolerance and oppression. And where once you had the freedom to object, to think and speak as you saw fit, you now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission. How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror. I know why you did it. I know you were afraid. Who wouldn't be? War, terror, disease. There were a myriad of problems which conspired to corrupt your reason and rob you of your common sense.
Still need to use the salt shaker kid lol
I'm trying to recall a movie that depicts US Soldiers on a mission, possibly "Three Kings" but I cannot verify this online. One Soldier says something to the effect, "I deal with the plate in front of me," or "that He has placed in front of me." I believe the Soldier is African-American. Thanks for any assistance.
Many many years ago I watched a film that I quote all the time but have no idea what it is. If my memory is correct, itâs a coming of age movie. A young girl and boy are hanging out and the boy says to the girl. âI really want to kiss you right now.â And she says âitâs good to want thingsâ
Thanks for thinking about it. Good luck.
"Bears can't look up". There was a movie I watched in the last 5 years that I remember distinctly a fight where someone was arguing with another person and yelled "Bears can't look up!"
Why is this in my memory at all idk. Help?
I am compiling quotes on death to make a book for people to use to reflect on and deepen their own understanding of their relationship to death.
Do you have any favorite quotes on death from literature?
Perhaps some that broadened your understanding of the subject or helped you when it was important in your life?
I'm pretty sure it was a movie though it might have been a show, but I have this quote in my head of some guy yelling "I MADE YOU!" (in the sense of 'I'm the reason you are where you are') to someone else. All I can remember is that it's definitely a male voice but I can't remember anything that comes before or after.
The quote is along the lines of âI make the plays, you back the plays I makeâ. I feel like it might be a gangster movie, a war movie or a cop movie with perhaps an older guy and a younger guy? Itâs said angrily I think but in hushed tones.
It think itâs a snarky white guy (maybe?) and they say âbut what about my needs?â
There was a guy sitting at a table doing drugs saying he hears things in the walls-says he's drinking, snorting and "popping pills bitch" then a ninja breaks into his house and he tries to shoot him with a shotgun. Long shot of figuring this out but that's all I remember
I'm trying to find a video of a clip from a movie (or maybe tv) but I absolutely cannot remember the movie all I remember is someone either talking about a baby...or possibly an animal and they say to someone "oh my god is this not the cutest thing you've ever seen?" And the person kinda laughs and the other person repeats "I'm serious! Is it not the cutest thing you've ever seen?!?" and I feel like they're talking in like a baby voice? I don't know if anyone knows what I'm talking about hahaha it's driving me crazy
Real life Flanders was an elite observationâŚ
Uncle Buck
Guess the movie. Hint: it's Japanese
I don't know if it was intentional, but in Ice Age: The Meltdown, Sid actually says something that is kinda deep. "Oh, come on, all animals feel fear. It's what separates us from, say, rocks. Rocks have no fear. And they sink"
OK, I don't know if this is the correct place for this, but I have been trying to find what movie this quote is from for way too long, and it's bugging me again:
There is a movie that would have likely been from the very late 70's to the mid-to-late 80's. I was flipping channels one time, and I saw a part of this movie, which included the quote, and I loved the quote, but the rest of the movie didn't really grab me, and I switched to something else, so I can't remember anything else about the movie, and have been trying to track it down since.
In the scene, there are two characters, I think both are female, but at least one of them is.
Character 1: Do you mind if I smoke?
Character 2: I don't care if you burst into flames.
The second character is very deadpan, and the first at least somewhat sincere.
A bunch of people told me that it's from "Heathers," but I have had as many people tell me that it is absolutely not "Heathers."
Thanks a bunch in advance, and I apologize if this is the incorrect place.
âCome here stay with usâŚâ âI donât want your boys to see me like thisâŚ.â
