Anyone ride with a hoodie over leathers? I like leather trousers and hoodie combo but don’t want to sacrifice safety just using armoured hoodie so thinking of putting hoodie over my leathers. Show some pics if you do
I think I found the solution for replacing the visor for the Sedici Strada 1 in 2024. I hardly use reddit, but wanted to share my discovery for those in my situation in the future. (To be the guy who found the solution to someone's super unique problem long ago)
TLDR: The LS2 FF396 visor might work as a replacement for the Sedici Strada 1 visor. It’s not 100% confirmed, but I’m going to test it.
I recently bought a used Sedici Strada 1 helmet as a first street helmet. I thought I found a steal until I realized the missing visor for the Strada 1 was extremely hard to find. With the model being 5 years old and Sedici's first model in the production line, visor replacements are out of stock everywhere. I thought all hope was lost until stumbling upon post on this sub by u/ArkBass. The user denotes there is a comparison between LS2 and sedici visors. (Logically because its all Comoto)
ArkBass pointed out that "The MHR-80 (Strada 2) visor is the LS2-FF397 (for the LS2 Vector)." I figured that if there is a connection between two second-gen helmets from two sister companies, there might be a connection for the first-gen helmets as well. I decided to dig deeper and found the connection between the visors. There are amazon listings for a "LS2 FF396" visor that looks very similar to out-of-stock Strada 1 replacement visors on Revzilla. The visors have the same screw lock holes and divots. I found further evidence with one listing for the same visor (FF396) with the following tag "MHR48." Although I could not link the MHR48 back to the Strada 1, its still telling evidence that its a Sedici visor, one that might just work with my Strada 1.
So that's where the story ends for now. I plan on order this visor, putting my money where my mouth is, and hoping that I am correct with this deduction. I'll put an update on this post confirming whether or not this theory is true. That's all I've got
Let me know if I’ve done something wrong with this post or if I could improve anything. I don’t post often, so any advice is appreciated!
I got this spike pants gifted and I'm not sure if they're a bit overkill for my normal use. I don't do track or anything like that, but I go out most weekends and would like to start doing day trips on fun roads. But its not like I'm scraping my knees with the road (not even close xD) and my bike is not a wheeled demon (its a Duke 390), so this might be too much, maybe? What do you think?
Hi everyone,
I’m in the market for a 2-piece motorcycle suit that offers both AAA abrasion resistance and CE-Level 2 protectors. Here’s what I’m looking for in detail:
I’ve been considering the REV'IT! Hyperspeed 2 Pro Jacket (Black-neon red colour) and Apex Pants (black and white colour), as well as the Alpinestars Missile V2 2PC Suit (black and white colour). But I am open to other options that meet my criteria.
My local store does not offer that suits. Therefore, my only option is to order them online. However, it is hard to know how the suit looks like in real life by just looking at pictures from Revit/Alpinestairs websites.
To get a better feeling how the suits look like in real situations. I was looking for photos of those suits which were shot in real life to get a good sense how the outfits look like. Found some looks here, but unforunately the Hyperspeed 2 Pro is not in black-neon red colour. If someone has such fotos, I would be more than happy they can be shared here.
All of my current pants and trousers are from Revit. So one advantage of the purcahsing Hyperspeed 2 Pro Jacket is that I could reuse the back protector as the jacket comes without a backprotector. Also I can combine the Hyperspeed 2 Pro jacket with my other Revit gear. Additionally, the jacket already comes with shoulders and elbow CE-Level 2 protectors unlike the Alpinestars Missile V2 jacket which comes with the CE-Level 1 protectors from my understanding. For a suit at €1000 price point, I was already expecting it has CE-Level 2 protectors for both Jacket and Trousers.
If I opt for Revit option, I would however wish that Apex trousers are also offered in black-neon red colour to match the colours of the Hyperspeed 2 Pro Jacket.
For example, trousers in such Black-neon red colour are offered for the Rev'it Argon 2 2PC, but unforunately the Argon 2 trousers cannot be bought seperately.

That is why I am not sure how the black-neon red hyperspeed 2 pro jacket will look combined with the black/white apex trousers.
So far I haven't had any Alpinestairs jacket/trousers. But the Revit gear I got was always "buck for bang" type of gear.
Does anyone have recommendations or experience with those suits or any other suits that meet the above requirements? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
I was wondering:
Are manufacturers required to supply random production helmets for periodic retesting after the initial certification process?
If not, what ensures that the helmets we buy are identical to the helmets that were tested?
Anyone use gp r7 suit with the old tech air race vest? I am thinking of getting a used vest and a new suit. Tech air 7x which is compatible with the suit is just too much money for me right now. The only concern I have with the vest is the LEDs. Gp r7 doesn’t seem to have a place for the LEDs on the sleeve like the other tech air suits. Has anyone had experience with this before? What did you end up doing? Thank you!
As stated in the title I am not quite sure how I am supposed to install any back protector inserts. The official Alpinestars website states that Level 2 Full Back Protectors fit but there is no pouch for it whatsoever. There is one protector which has a little tab on top of it which could be attached to the loop inside of the suit but that would leave the back protector dangling around I think.
Does anyone know anything specific?
Hi guys, bought a brand new Shoei x-spr pro yesterday and when taking out a foam pad noticed this. I believe this was an ex demo model in a store. Is this bad or am I completely overthinking it. Hard to return now as I have added accessories to the helmet. Thanks for any help.

Hey riders! I’m stuck deciding between three Rev’It jackets:
Rev’It Component 2 https://revitsport.com/it/products/en-motorcycle-jacket-Component-2-H2O-Black?srsltid=AfmBOooRWpq9VmTfpsGgmuiPdEK94CzTVTATZjboZZ1F7NFjQRDV04Qt
Rev’It Potential GTX https://revitsport.com/it/products/en-motorcycle-jacket-potential-gtx-dark-blue-black?srsltid=AfmBOoq4f3EIv7G056Eyrl0P6_o3uQwABkSX9Oy1Ls3dRF5veWwRuX24 I ride year-round and am looking for something that can handle winter conditions well.
For those of you who own the Component 2, would you recommend it for cold-weather riding? Or is it more of a mild-weather jacket?
Any advice, experiences, or insights to help me choose would be super appreciated. Thanks!
I had a pair of Five TFX1 GTX gloves size large that I loved. Lined, waterproof, very comfortable.
I’m looking for gloves comparable to that model that are more readily available in the US and would love some recommendations.
I am deciding between 2 brands. Arai or AGV. Am thinking between Regent-X or K6s. I am coming from a RF1400 For street riding 99% and track 1%. I am interoval head shape. Size 54 1/2
Hello, I have a dilemma regarding which helmet to choose: shoei xspr pro or hjc rpha 1
Hi everyone,
I currently have a pretty old and inexpensive Shark Ridill. While I'm riding Yamaha MT-09, I decided it's time to upgrade to something safer. Some of my friends own the RPHA 11, and I really like it. I discovered there's a newer model, the RPHA 12, which might be a good option for me.
I've also heard that Shoei helmets are known for their quality, and I found the NXR2 model (RF-1400 in the USA). I tried both helmets in a shop, and they both fit well. The only difference is that the HJC helmet needs to be one size larger for me.
Or maybe you have recommendations for other models suited for a street bike? Here's what I'm looking for:
Thanks in advance for your suggestions!
If you have worn these suits, I would like to know your opinion in regard sizing between these two models. Currently, I own a Laguna Seca 5 but looking to get the Audix as my next suit. Thanks a lot.
i have to do a Christmas gift to a biker girl, i thought of gifting her an helmet cover. But unfortunately I don't have an helmet as reference, I'd be glad if you gave me the measurement of your helmet, or help me find what helmet and it's measures she has from this awful picture.
