Hello, im a new rider and I don't know witch of the 2 leather jacket to take. Yeah im gonna test the fit but I want to know the main differences of the Dainese Sport Pro and the Racing 4.
I keep hearing this, but man do these guys have some good looking stuff with real protection. I don’t know about the helmets but their jackets are sick af and have the D3O pads in them.
Is it just the armored vest and the graphics that got them the name?
Hello, I want to get a balaclava but idk witch one to take. What's the most comfortable fabric for it?
What is the one you are wearing? I need recommandations.
Ty!
I have a AGV moto pista gp rr size medium that i’m looking to sell online.
where is the best place to do so? it has less than a year or riding on it.
So I am conflicted on which brand to go for 3 main options from most expensive to least expensive
The criteria I am looking for: Has to be fully lined so no single layer stuff to withstand a high speed slide (ik leathers are best but I won’t go to the mall in leather pants)
Has to be comfortable and breathable
Yea I understand both my points are conflicting but I mean the best balance
Either John Doe or resurgence: typically rated AAA These are the big name brands with the highest price tag 200+ pounds
Roadskin: seems to be a new but quality brand at 150 pounds and rated at AA
lastly XLmoto’s brand course have fully lined cargos that I tried before that are 60 pounds and only rated a single A which I highly doubt it accurate and they just settled for the cheapest test to keep the product price low, as I have actually crash tested these at about 45 mph and only the outer cotton layer barely ripped leaving the actual protective layer untouched
Common sense would say just get the one you had again but here is where my main question comes in
The XLmoto pair I had where a bit thick and heavy which is kinda to be expected from a pair of lined motorcycle pants, but do the more expensive brands make them thinner while maintaining the protective qualities or are they all thick and heavy with the price changing depending on the brand name and the risk the company took for the higher testing criteria which smaller budget brands opt against
Edit: I hear you all! Now looking for a good jacket instead of a hoodie. Any recommendations for something really good that will keep him safe and look pretty cool? Thank you!
Original post: I want to get my husband a riding hoodie for Christmas during Black Friday. What are the best brands? I heard nbt is supposedly not good? I see ads for Skull Riderz and Torque brands which seem to have good reviews, but I'd like an unbiased opinion from someone who actually owns one. We are in the US so it has to be a brand I can buy here. My husband commutes on his bike year round so he does a lot of highway riding. I want to make sure it's warm in the winter and fairly breathable in the summer. Also want it to be really safe since he's on his bike so much.
Hi i'll be riding soon enough to start thinking about what gear should i get so i need your help. I got a budget of 700€ for a helmet, a jacket and some gloves. The only thing I heard is that the brand "shoei" makes good helmets so please tell me if they are worth it.Thank you beforehand
Hello all! Around Christmas i should be getting my first bike (im so excited!!) and i want to prep with finding gear, i am from the uk and plus size (uk20-28 depending on where you go for womens clothing), i have been looking at mens gear too and have measured that i would be a 58" chest, 62/63" waist and around 34" leg. Does anyone know where to get any good plus size gear on a very tight budget (uni student)? The most im getting help (from family) is for the bike itself and i might be able to blag them for a little more help for decent gear rather than stuff that is not suitable (for example a helmet has been given but it is painfully too tight so me and my partner are going halfs on a helmet that actually fits). I also have small hands and have been finding it difficult to find gloves that are for short but wide hands. Any help would be appreciated!
I bought one or two size bigger gloves. I was using short XL Alpinestars gloves like a year ago and bought XL gauntlet alpinestars gloves. I think there are size differences between gauntlets and short ones. My size is M/L or L. I can’t return. Is it okay to use like this? Is there any danger in using it? What can I do?
I’m looking at getting some leather pants like A* or Dainese. The issue I am having is that I wear a 34” waist and a 34” inseam in normal pants. I can’t find any “track” pants that have a long enough inseam. Everything I’m seeing so far in a waist size that will fit is like a 29-31” inseam.
I get that with boots, the pants don’t have to be as long as street pants, but how long of an inseam would be a fit or will I have to go custom?
just got them, the impeto size M/8.5. my wrist is just over 8in . they feel good but a bit tight on the pinky finger mainly the middle knuckle. how much should i expect the leather to stretch out?
i tried a L on (diff glove but still dainese) and had a bit too much extra length on a few of the finger so M was it. TIA
I am a bit lost in the many available choices for gloves. I hope that there are Redditors who can provide me some advice.
My search criteria are:
Previously my search yielded the Rev'it Dominator 3 GTX gloves, which ticked all the boxes on paper. Especially nice is that they can be used around the seasons. However, the review by F9 was less than complimenting on the waterproofing front: the fit with reviewers hands was not great, causing the GoreTex membrane to tear, and the gloves to leak like the Titanic.
Could not find any other good reviews, so sample size n=1. Curious if anyone can confirm this conclusion based on experience.
What would be your recommendations?
i bought a mhr of622 beatz helmet quartararo edition sized m, but the side paddings are so damn big it makes my face look smushed in. i saw on youtube that the side paddings for size L looks thin. so should i swap out the side paddings for a bigger sized padding?
I've never ridden big motorcycles and I'm now getting my unlimited license. I'm a pretty short guy (165cm, 5ft4) and not too heavy, so the helmet weight may play a role.
'm about to get my first full-face helmet and my requirements are: ECE22.06 (since I'm spending might as well get the more recent standard), double D latch, full-face.
I'm leaning heavily towards the AGV K6S. 5 stars on SHARP, quality seems better than a basic K1, and it weights 1.26Kg (12.3 ounces for trans-atlantic friends).
It is not cheap, at at that price range it is competing with big brands like a Shoei NXR2 or even the Arai Quantic. But I found those alternatives, plus some HJC, to be heavier (1.5-1.6Kg)
Are there aletrnatives in the sub 500eur range that you would rather recommend? It also lacks an internal sunvisor. For those who have used both with and without, what are your thoughts?
Need a new jacket. The only one i can find is rev'it hyperspeed air 2. Are there any other options? I want the best protection, but don't want to pass out in florida summer heat. Thx
Looking to get back into track riding after a few year hiatus (switched to cars for a while).
I always wore a Dianese suit, and am only familiar with the big brands like Held, Spidi, A*, etc
What custom suits do people love?
Need help from Neotec owners, especially Neotec 1, but anything helps.
Recently noticed that my chinbar literally flops down when not in the locked position, now I do not remember it particularly any other way, but it does suddenly seem weird to me the way it behaves.
That combined with the helmet being sometimes a little difficult to open(Seen a bit in the video) and I think the chinbar mechanism may be shot.
To anybody that has the x15
