Last year there were a lot. Hayes was the last big one before that. Now Peterson moving down this year.
Maybe the international series are biasing me, but it seems a little unfair to junior riders that longtime pros can move down a class. Last year, Scholtz and Peterson stole the show in SS.
Personally, for the sake of building talent and creating a ladder for advancement, I don't think it should be allowed. Do these guys not want to race Stock 1000, Baggers, or Hooligan? Is there something about the pay structure that incentivises SBK>SD moved? I mean, if Flinders can stick around in SBK all these years, why can't these other more successful riders stay in the top class?
You know how every racer basically started at like 7-14 years old? What the hell are the chances of you becoming a racer at 18-25? Even if you start from the very very bottom. I'm pretty sure there's a lot of people wondering also regardless or them dreaming about racing or not , there’s really more to my post I just cut to the chase
Do animals ever get on the track during the races? And if so are the riders able to avoid them?
I come from 4 wheel racing where it happened more than I liked so I know supercross is good but I also wanted to try motoamerica. Just curious about that as I don't want it to weigh on me.
Hi I’m an 14 jear old German and want to do my a1 license when I get 16,then I would like to buy my dream bike the Yamaha yfz r125 .So I’m wondering what is the best way for me to get into motorcycle racing, because it’s a dream I had since I was little . I don’t know much about how to get there but I would do everything to get into this sport . I think the biggest problem is, that my parents are not Rich and probably can’t help me very much on my way . I already know that I have to visit some track days to learn how to drive but not much more , so can anybody help me ? (Sorry for the bad English I’m German )
Everybody in this subreddit talks about being older than 15 as a deadend. Can you really not start racing competitively if you're over 20? Is my dream already dead if I'm 24?
So I’m kind of new to bikes and racing, I started getting into it a few months ago and I just started to have the serious thought of how do I start racing, I’m moderate at riding a bike although I only have a Harley street glide and not enough money for a sports bike yet. How would I get started in racing? I wanna say that first thing to do is get a bike to race but I also have no idea if that’s true or not and I just need some guidance and advice on how I start racing. Can someone please help me (I’m 15 as well)

I wonder where Cam will end up next season. I imagine he’ll be he’ll be a pretty sought after free agent.
Does anyone have a link to a calendar with race dates premade? I assume times are TBD.
Hopefully the weather will cooperate!
Harley racing fans, I'm a huge fan of King of the Baggers and havent missed a single race from the day 1 Expo race.
There was no sub for a Baggers Racing so I made one! /r/KingOfTheBaggers.
I will be looking for some mods for this sub in a short while.
Please join and share and enjoy being a part of the Baggers and performance cruiser racing community

I just walked by and notice the Ducati ridden by Troy Corser in 1994. I couldn't believe it & I was in amazement of seeing this beautiful motorcycle, unreal
Looking at going to my first motoamerica event at NJMP this weekend, is there open grandstands around the track or is it just open fields for your own folding chairs? If their are grandstands around the track what's the best corner to sit.
I just got an email with a price of $89.99 for the 2024 NJ round plus all of 2025.
Last year, they offered a 2-year for $132 deal which works out to $66 per year.
I suspect (but do not know) they will have some kind of deal over the winter that is a lower price.
Here is the September 25 email:

A few changes for next year.
Passed Baz after race 2 and he stopped to give my son a knee slider. Great weekend at COTA!
Hi I am super new to any sort of motorcycle racing can someone explain how the points work in The Superbike Series? Like how many points do they get based on their race position? Also how do qualifying races work is it just to determine where they start in the main races or is there more to it?
Should be a good weekend of racing from Texas
Similar to this year, except Brainerd is out and VIR is in.

Chuck Aksland is the A in KRAVE, the company that owns and operates MotoA. He’s been around the paddock for most of his life, and has some cool stories about Team Roberts and good info about operating MotoAmerica. It’s long format, but lots of information.
I haven't seen Dean do a qualifying/race results post for MotoAmerica for a long time.
Did I miss something?
You see all the WSBK and MotoGP qualifying/race results... but not the websites namesake?
That bike was mangled. I hope he’s fine for the races but I have hope because he walked away
Anyone else going? I’ll be there tomorrow!
I've been wanting to go to a MotoAmerica event for a while now, and with Mid-Ohio being my home track, I finally have the opportunity to see the Superbikes in person for the first time. I'm super stoked for next weekend!
But with Mid-Ohio returning to the schedule this year, it made me think- what would be your ideal MotoAmerica schedule? I'm pretty happy with the schedule as it currently is, but here's my fantasy schedule:
Probably a pretty hefty schedule! While it's great to get Mid-Ohio back on the schedule, it's a bummer that they dropped Pittsburgh. I thought that was a pretty cool track. COTA is a world-class facility, but shouldn't be a stand-alone event, IMO. Has AMA ever raced at The Glen? I think that would make a neat early October finale.
Any other tracks you'd like to see MotoAmerica go to?
