2020 Pajero, second owner since April 2024 (first owner drove it 10,000 km).
timeline:
• Initially drove fine.
• After a wheel alignment, front right wheel difficult to align, they just couldnt get it properly.
• Changed tires and did alignment elsewhere—problem resolved.
• 6 months later, did another alignment and rotation; front right showed excessive negative camber.
• Recently upgraded suspension (2-inch lift) and wheels/tires. Alignment caused a slight pull to the left.
• Took it for a trusted realignment—attached results.
any theories? What could cause such aggressive camber for that specific wheel?
and only with such offlimits camber the car will drive straight
After the suspension lift, the right side sits 1cm higher than the left. The car drives smoothly with no major issues, though there’s slight steering vibration when braking, which seems common for Pajeros.
Just got a used 2010 montero sport. 4-speed 2.5L turbo diesel. After 4 days, i decided to check the engine oil dip stick and the engine oil is 99% dry! I also noticed that it makes some sort of "glass clinking", like when you tap your spoon on a glass/ceramic mug, in the engine bay. What are the possible reasons for this?
I want to change my steering wheel and want to know if any one else has done this and where did they get there hub adapter this sit the wheel I’m looking at I have 1995 Montero Ls
Hey guys, I’m looking for instructions on how to change the spark plugs on a 6G72 (3.0L V6) SOHC engine, as shown in the picture. I’m also looking for the correct article number of the spark plugs. Thank you very much for any help!
Anyone able to recommend an online site for sourcing parts?
I'm in need of trim parts for a 2002 car.
Thanks in advance
Hi All,
This is my new (to me) LWB 2002 Pajero. I had originally wanted the SWB but the one listed was snapped up before I could put in an offer so settled for this, and as you can see it requires some a **** load of TLC!
Earlier today I took it to a local garage for a review / inspection. Below are is a list of initial findings:
In addition to the I've also identified the following:
I'd really love to see it looking its best again. Wish me luck!
Title says it all; I recently came into ownership of a 2002 Montero. I absolutely love the vehicle! It’s got just under 180k on the dash and rides exceptionally well despite its appearance(previous owner gave it a good spray can special). The issue I have is getting the vehicle to start. I drove the vehicle home no issues, turned the vehicle off, and went to start it an hour later to show my lady my new toy. Toy is now apparently broken. Scanned for codes, found the immobilizer was tripping out. Local junkyard had a 2001 that I nabbed the ECU(the one located at the passenger footwell), immobilizer, and ignition cylinder out of. Installed all correctly, called local locksmith to program the key, and none of his 4 scanners would work (they weren’t even able to read the vin, yet alone initiate the “handshake” procedure). Idk if my obd2 port is acting a fool or if there’s something I’m overlooking. Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!
Hi guys, wanted to ask if anyone ever encountered this issue I'm having. Recently replaced the brake lights' bulb to led (philips t20s red) for both sides, and noticed that on the passenger side, it would not light up when I pressed the brakes with the headlights off. But it turns on when the headlights are turned on. Any idea what happened? Would appreciate any insights on this.
Also the reverse lights won't turn on as well but it could be a busted bulb.
Proud owner. 6 months done
I’ve got California smog check coming up and won’t pass as is due to obd2 code p0301. I don’t have freeze frame data. I don’t notice any symptoms; no stalling, no noticeable misfiring, nothing. I’ve had this 1999 montero since 2017, it’s got 209k miles and is basically my local mountain snow beater, and occasional commuter, 95 miles each way to work and back. Do y’all think I can drive it until it checks and resets on its’ own? Or, is that a waste of gas and time?
Hi all i tried to take my monty today and it wouldnt start at all, which was weird because there was no signs of the starter going out. All the lights turn on but no crank and no noise of the starter trying to start. Could this be a starter relay issue, any info would be greatly appreciated.
Hello everyone,
Could anyone recommend an experienced Mitsubishi mechanic in the NYC area?
I have an 83' Montero 2 door. Second owner. The motor is seized and needs replacement. Any recommendations for a mechanic to do this repair?
I have this issue, don’t know it actually is an issue, my heater time comes on for about 5 to 10 seconds, as it normally would, however after the car is started,it goes off momentarily, then comes back on(right after the battery light goes out) for about 3min then goes off again
This is the second kit I've bought with the wrong timing belt. Water pump and tensioner fit great. Very frustrated any 2.5 owners have a recommendation? 98 Puerto Rico Montero not sure if different markets need different belts
I replaced mine last February and has already failed yet again. I bought 4 replacements in the past 2 years. Was there supposed to be a better version of P/N 7812A100?
