As the title explains i have a ton of water on my passenger side floor board and no idea where is coming from. Any ideas? Cheers.
I'm looking for good quality suspension with slight lift for pajero NL
Got it a while ago, since have done spotties on the bar and got the rack with lights of my BIL. I have a list of needs/wants for the car. Lift being the absolute last as my mrs is short and struggles to get this kids in their seats🤣love seeing all the pajeros and monteros here thought id add mine🤙🏼
If im not mistaken my Montero is wired for cruise control and fog lights. Would it be as simple as buying and installing the buttons to have those features. The fog lights wont work since i dont actually have fog lights… but it looks like i could easily add them. Could anyone confirm if this is the case? Cheers!
I want to remove my OEM radio for cleaning since it wont read CDs very well. But i quickly encountered this problem. TIGHTEN ONLY SCREWS! so annoying. Any ideas how to remove them. Cheers!
Symptoms: illuminated SRS light on the dash, non functional horn.
Today I replaced the clock spring on my 1999 montero 3.0 24 valve manual with a “OEM replacement” from ebay. The plug on the clock spring that connects to the back of the airbag connected fine but did not click into place and the SRS light stayed on. Not sure if its not working or if i just need to reset the code.
The horn cables that connect to the back of the airbag housing were another problem. The “pin” like connector was easy, but then i was left with a larger plug that i could not find a home for. I connected the “pin” type connector and left the other connector unplugged. Then I finished reinstalling the airbag. On start up the horn sounded continuously.
The original clock spring appears to have been tampered with so im not sure what plugs are supposed to be on an OEM clock spring.
If someone has changed their clock spring and could help me out i would owe you one! Also if anyone has photos of an OEM click spring that would also be helpful! Let me know. Cheers.
Hey everyone. I have a gen 2.5 and I'm having trouble getting the middle row to slide forward when tilting the seat back. The inboard side will release but not the outboard side. The fold and roll functions properly but not the slide forward. I've tried adjusting the cable but it doesn't help. Anyone had this issue and been able to fix it?
Check engine light and Brake light came on. E brake is not engaged…..
I'm currently building a Mitsubishi 6G74 and 6G75 hybrid for my Pajero (Montero) - 6G74 block bored 1mm oversize, 75 pistons & crank, 74 rods, 75 heads. The non-MIVEC 75 is out of a Mitsubishi 380 and it isn't straightforward to simply use that complete engine in the Gen 3 Pajero, although it's easier in the Gen 2 I believe.
Question is - are there any potential issues fitting the heads and timing belt components and then setting the valve timing without the rocker assemblies bolted on? The factory manual shows the heads fully built up before fitting and timing, but I'm still waiting on some parts so was thinking get the heads on and setup and then bolt the rocker shafts down later.
I can't see what the difference would be be, other than the tension on the cams would be keeping the belt tight on the driven side if the rockers were fitted. From experience though the tension from the valve springs being compressed can be a PITA as the RH cam always wants to turn when on TDC.
My previous post was the stock whp reading on a 2.5td non intercooled 4d56t.
We added a top mount intercooler, modified 12mm injection pump and Holset HX40 turbo compounding the boost of the stock mitsubishi td04-09b turbo.
Long story short we were making good progress with tuning, adjusting fueling and boost gradually to make more power and torque while maintaining a smooth curve.
At around 25 psi and 127whp, the stock td04-09b blew out its oil seals and bearing, the turbine also made a bit of contact with the housing, we stopped the run and decided we’re going to replace it with a slightly bigger turbo to pair with the Holset HX40.
Here’s the dyno graph for a SWB 1989 2.5td.
33” tires, 5.29 final drive.
This is on stock everything in the engine, base run for before we started modifications.
The graph below is the power curve. For anyone curious this is the whp at 1400m elevation.
Hello I have a v25w 1999 pajero 3.5L Dohc gdi and I tried to buy a timing belt kit and bought the wrong one after I cut my old belt and roughly took off my brittle crankshaft angle sensor.
My question is can I use the CAS from the US market montero 3.5 L dohc (92-96 i believe) on my pajero? It mounts up (a little shorter) and connects. US PN MD303649> Pajero MD339213
Anybody in the near Denver area interested in trading their third row seats/belts from a gen 2 or 2.5 for a custom sleeping platform and drawer system? Maybe trade and some cash?
2006 pajero gen 3, 272k km on the clock. been running okay for a while but lost power on the road while driving with my foot off the accelerator. When I try to turn the car back on it wouldn’t hold the rpm and shuts down again. Any idea what causes this? TIA
anyone got one that fits the car nicely and is reasonably priced. Or just the dimensions that fit the car well?
