I see so many pictures online of people who vote in other states and their stickers are cute and reflect their states. Ours is so generic and ordinary and blah. Who is in charge of these things? I think they should bring some flair that represents Montana.
How cute would a bison shaped sticker that says “I voted” be?
We have someone in our town who is putting political signs on the corner of our lot. We have been to the county twice about property lines and we've seen two differing survey accounts (I know we need to get one done ourselves soon). Our town is unincorporated and our neighbor has disregarded all the things they were told about alley easements, like building their fence directly onto the alley line instead of giving the 20ft we were told and I know a ton of others with the same feeling towards the "rules" because no one is there to enforce anything. There is construction behind our lot now and they have blocked the alley and put up "Private Road No Trespassing" signs which is who we are thinking is putting up the signs on our lot as well. As far as we know it is a county easement on our corner lot to allow the alley to be used next to and behind our lot within a certain amount of feet. I don't care about people supporting their political beliefs but we own a business and I teach. We personally like to keep our beliefs private and we don't advertise our voting preference. No issue talking about different topics but we don't have a bunch of signs everywhere. Can I or should I take these signs out? It's county property as far as we are aware if it isn't ours (Because the differing surveys). I just feel like everyday I go home it seems like 1-2 more signs are added to the power pole or staked into the grass of the corner lot. Also we are Republican (mostly, sharing some different views of certain topics but mostly right leaning) and I honestly haven't even checked if the signs are Dem or Rep. I just don't like people driving or walking by our house and potentially making judgments.
Recent political ads in Montana are saying “your neighbor knows how you vote”. I tried to look up this information on the SOS website. The wording to me does sound like how we vote can be purchased. Does anyone know for sure if this is true?
Is there an overview of how the judges that are up for retention have performed somewhere? I don't know enough about them to make a decent decision.
Sorry to ask. I didn't find one when I searched. The last one I saw was CNN, showing him-sneaky leading the race if the election were that day. That was a couple weeks back.
Thank you for your responses.
I went to the grocery store at an odd time for me today. Turns out that it was apparently the time when many elderly and ret folks do their shopping. Was struck by two different conversations by couples. They were trying to make their Social Security money stretch. Both husbands with Trump hats. Does someone want to sit down with that generation and explain that they are voting to decrease that worked for benefit even more. When the GOP talks about “entitlements” that is part of what they are referring to, not just “the free magical money for illegal immigrants“
It's so refreshing to see a Republican willing to publicly support a Democrat. Person, not party.
*Where are your go-tos for unbiased information on federal and state candidates & initiatives? *Are you voting D? R? Other? Split?
Conservatives living in Montana, I'm here to learn, not bait you.
1.What do you like most about Sheehy? 2.What policies are you looking forward to? 3.What’s one redline you’d hold Sheehy to? 4.How did Jon Tester fail you the most and how could he have done things differently?
**Edited to specify Montanans
I tried to use lots of expletives in the OP but it wouldn't let me. Got down sat on a bench.
I just learned this month that it's so much nicer to get out and volunteer for your favorite candidate than staying home worrying! For anyone considering it, it's not too late!
Or is it only mail in lol
