Looking for veg lunch ideas

Hi there!

Vegetarian (not vegan), looking for protein heavy and filling lunch ideas that I can prepare on Sunday for the week ahead.

I’m in the midst of marathon training thus the need for protein and to be filling 🤣.

One of the lunches a week won’t be able to be reheated and will need to be eaten cold.

I like almost all cuisines, salads, soups and sammys. Want to limit processed foods and added sugar.

Have access to Costco and Trader Joe’s to stay frugal. Thanks in advance!

How long is tempeh good for?

The title pretty much sums it up. I’m curious how long is tempeh good for after opening the package and what is the best way to store it?

Meal prepping burritos and reheating for lunchtime(with guac?)

If I have pinto bean and rice burritos with sone cilantro lime rice, with maybe some peppers, And I freeze them. How would I go about reheating them for my lunch at work. I would prefer having it grilled, so originally I was thinking of microwaving and pan grilling the burrito in the morning. But im wondering if that is safe to eat after a couple hours sitting in my lunch container. Say I warm it up around 7:00am. Is it safe to eat it at 12 or 1? My other option would be to take it frozen to work, naturally thaw in the lunch box and microwave at work, but wont be able to get the grill. Not even sure if the grill matters since it will get soggy in the lunch box anyways.

Need some suggestions on how i can pull this off.

As a side note, im also struggling to figure out guac and salsa. Can I freeze them with the burrito. People say they dont freeze or reheat well. Idk how I feel about hot guac. Also dont see how the guac will last after I reheat in the morning all the way until lunch. Wouldnt it go bad?

recipe suggestions that reheat well?

hi, im a vegetarian college student that's wanting to get into meal prepping a couple times a week to save some time, and also to help me keep up on protein intake. my biggest hesitation with meal-prepping is that i have texture issues with food and often hate the way microwave-reheated leftovers taste/feel.

does anyone with similar issues have any good recipes that reheat well or are meant to be eaten cold that retain good texture when meal prepped? tysm in advance!

New food sealer technology

Hey guys! I’m working on creating a brand-new Food Sealer to make food preservation easier, more effective, and even more convenient for everyone. Whether you’re sealing up leftovers, meal-prepping for the week, or keeping snacks fresh, I want to make sure this product is something you’ll absolutely love!

I’d love to hear your thoughts on what you look for in a food sealer—features, designs, or anything else that makes it a must-have in your kitchen.

I’ve put together a quick survey to gather your insights. It won’t take more than a couple of minutes, and your feedback would mean the world to me!

You can fill it out here👉https://forms.gle/RFk16AgjiWdD1iFk6

Thank you so much for helping shape the future of food preservation! 🙌

Actual high protein (~40G per meal) delivery service?

Hi, I’m looking for a super high protein meal plan delivery service. When I say high protein I mean I want to be able to get close to 130 grams of protein per day using only like 3 ish meals. Do meal delivery services exist like this? All the ones I see online that label themselves as “high protein” only contain like 20 grams per meal. I don’t see how a male can hit there protein requirements with these delivery services. Am I better off cooking? Money isn’t an issue.

2025 freezer ingredient prep

I had a 3kg can of jackfruit in the pantry and finally found the time to do something with it.

Half of it turned to Jackfruit Rendang. 4 2person portions (Dutch : https://www.eetspiratie.nl/jackfruit-rendang/ )

1/4 of it turned to BBQ jackfruit to put on buns. We aten some and there are 4 2person portions left. (https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/vegan-pulled-jackfruit)

1/4 turned to bao stuffing. (2 2person portions) (https://www.rte.ie/lifestyle/recipes/2023/0125/1351743-annie-riggs-jackfruit-bao-buns/)

I also needed some space in the freezer so I turned the 1kg zuchinni, leftover peas and leftover spinach into soup. Also 4 2person portions.

5 Bean Chilli

This is my favourite chilli recipe - and it’s loved by all the meat eaters in my family!

It also has 12 plant points and is great for meal prep! (And freezer friendly)
