Came out of retirement for a unique job and took a part-time position as a machinist at the Arlington & Sims Machine Shop in Greenfield Village. Because these machines are historic, I can't change them; I can only use them as is. My job is to restore and repair 1900s machines using 1900s techniques.

Factory Simulator for Education

Hello all, newbie here. I’m a high school teacher. I teach my schools woodshop classes, and am part of an academy (sort of school within the school) known as Manufacturing Production Technology Academy. Students in this learn how to use our CNC machines, 3D printers, CAD ect. I really want to find a simulation/software program to allow them to design, and explore factory + production layouts. I’m envisioning lessons on lean manufacturing and who knows where we could take it from there. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Free is beautiful but doubt it exist, I can get funds for licensing if we can find the right program. Appreciate all responses.
