Where can I find tanghulu spots in Long Island SUFFOLK COUNTY
If ever on the south shore (Nassau County) be sure to check out Tacos El Chingon.
I’ve never had a bad meal or dish from here plus the owners are amazing people. Their food is consistently.
Picture above is there macho bowl with chicken. For $12 it makes every other quick service Mexican spot look like a joke..
Anyone know of a place I can get jumbo chicken wings like the ones that look like bent arms? All one piece. My bf has been searching high and low and we can’t seem to find a place. We are in mid nassau but willing to drive. TY!
I don’t care for the chunky chicken salad but prefer the shredded kind. Anywhere in Nassau that offers this?
it doesn’t have to be anything too fancy but i wasn’t able to get her a physical gift for her birthday and want to make up for it with something she’ll enjoy
she likes
she doesn’t like
i’m budgeting $300 to $400 for the two of us to go out
( also we’re in hempstead but i’m fine with driving anywhere within 40 minutes )
this is gonna be a stretch, but, if anywhere can help me find it, it's reddit.
last year i saw a TikTok from a friend and they talked about the best brisket on long island being at this place...
I forgot the name.
I don't know the address, obviously, but I do remember it being in / near Valley Stream or Locust Valley or something.
I live in central nassau, and from me, it was about a 25 minute drive to the restaurant, and upon approaching, it looks like a small little rinky dink place on the right hand side of the road.
you walk in, and it's just a couple people cooking the barbeque, with very minimal seating area (like a sit up bar with like 4-5 bar chairs) and no tables or nothing. super basic place. tiny. just a couple chefs and their huge smokers. and a sit up bar with some chairs.
thats it.
the menu was minimal. ribs, brisket, and probably some sides like corn bread or cole slaw. but it was like pretty basic and minimal menu.
the place smells amazing and the food is INCREDIBLE – best BBQ on LI by FAR and reminded me of true southern Texas BBQ.
if any of you know the place im referencing, i would super appreciate you helping me out here!
Thanks in advance!

Would love to know everyone's favorites. I feel like diners are such a staple of Long Island culture and they're closing left and right (the two I grew up going to, the Lantern in West Hempstead and the Silver Star in Franklin Square are both gone). Follow my quest at @longislanddiners on Instagram.
I love ice cream but hate commercial places like cold stone, Hagendas etc. so where’s a good place to get some?
Anyone gone to these Festivals the past few years? Would like to know if there's a must try spots & if any that i should really skip lol. Thank you!
Hi! I’m talking like ridge and beyond. Looking for a nice date night lunch/early dinner while driving out east going to farmers markets and such. And if anyone has any recommendations for Greenport or surrounding areas let me know!
What's the better option.
it’s okay if you think it might be closed for the season (I’ll do the research!) I’m just looking for your favorite places to eat in Montauk :)) open to all cuisines! thanks everybody!!
Looking for a nice, romantic anniversary dinner recommendation!
Have loved the lakehouse, Salt on the water, and Trento for reference.
ETA: I should have specified, no steak houses. Super over them, although I totally understand their appeal.
I'm looking for a Sunday brunch with authentic jazz. Authentic as in actual jazz standards/jams, and not some guy with an acoustic guitar playing a jazzed up version of Wonderwall. Nassau preferred. Is this even a thing, or should I just keep my reservation in the city?
Wish I got to go one last time!!
hey everyone! I’m looking for recommendations on places to order Penne vodka in Valley, Stream or Lynbrook. I’m still injured, so Delivery it is.
I’m injured and need some dope options to place a delivery order! 🥰
Not sure if this is a weird question but as I was server job hunting I thought a thread like this might be convenient for other people looking for restaurant jobs. If there's another community that would be more fitting to post this in let me know.
