Lettering is 'the act, art or process of inscribing or writing words on something'. And it is also just awesome. If you create your own or find awesome ones out in the wild, throw them up and let it be ridiculed or revered!
The world of Lettering revolves around and includes (but is not limited to) Calligraphy, Handwriting, Hand styles, Typography, and can even extend from Graffiti/Wildstyle/Tagging all the way to Graphic/Layout Design. Just have fun with it. :)
If you create your own or find awesome work out in the wild, throw them up and let it be ridiculed or revered! It doesn’t have to be fancy or perfect, but if you’re a copy/type/font/character addict, then let it be known!

Hey guys, I'm looking for someone who can write in traditional American cursive very well. The signature should be very neat and give modest and sincere vibes, but not seem like a computerized font. It needs to feel 100% handwritten. I don't want something that is super creative, fancy or overly big like street cursive logos. I know I'm making a lot of requests, but I'm willing to pay! I think cursive is sadly a dying art now, since I couldn't find anyone that knew how to do this.
The signature will go on the bottom of a digital letter, so it ideally needs to have no background or a super white one that fits with the paper just right. It'd be best if turnaround could be within the first few hours we begin, because the task only requires writing a few words.
Please comment, DM or message me if you are interested! Thanks.
This is inspired by critical roll / dungeons and dragons. I’ve never lettered and never drawn before, but as shapes are the start, I thought dice might be a good choice.
I’m not really sold on the “Want” But I like the idea. A triangle is an awkward shape to put text into. Any ideas?

I’ve been dabbling in brush lettering for a couple years now but never really have stayed consistent with it. I’ve come to realize recently that it soothes me and I’d really like to keep up with it this time. I’m not great, it truly depends on the pen I’m using and how flexible it is.
I have a set of pens already, but I’m bored of the colors to be completely honest and it makes it somehow less enjoyable. Part of what is so satisfying for me is creating an aesthetically pleasing color scheme to go along with what I wrote.
I was wondering, does anyone have any suggestions on reasonably priced firm tip brush pens that are just simply the primary colors? I will include a picture of the type and set I have already to make what I’m saying more understandable. Thank you to anyone in advance :)
I am new to Reddit so if you are into my style upvoting would help a lot. Thanks !

A few years ago, I bought a large oil painting of the Lion from the Wizard of Ox from a Boston artist. The artist also made the puppet depicted in the painting, and he hand-carved the frame, as well as the lettering to the title of the painting at the top of the frame. Last month, I bought the next painting in his Oz series, the Tin Man, for which the artist also made the puppet and the frame. Unfortunately, before he could carve the letters for the title, he lost access to his wood-working shop. (He's also become increasingly forgetful since then, and while he said he picked the letter style for the Lion painting from some book of lettering, he doesn't have a clue what that style is.) Anyway, there's a famous frame maker (a master guilder, actually, but he makes frame reproductions as well) here in DC where I live. I'm thinking of asking him if his studio could carve the letters to the title of the Tin Man painting and attach them to the otherwise large empty space at the top of that frame. Can I ask folks what they think of the lettering used for the title to the Lion painting, and if they think the same style lettering would suit the Tin Man paintings? I mean, to the degree than anyone cares one bit about this? Or any other thoughts? Pics of both paintings attached, as well as pic of artist with the two puppets he made.
Definitely pushing my skill set.
just now realizing i forgot to hatch the other way on the bottom of the T… whatever :p
I am learning modern calligraphy and I picked up a pad on Amazon to practice. This grid is different than what I have been using (which has the dotted line in the middle). How do I use this?
