I’m happy to answer any question, regarding how you can submit your own art, and get a $1,000 — no strings attached.
Just checking to see if ELPD has updated the public on this case? If they can 't solve it, I know of a reddit group called r/gratefuldoe that could help.
I am a MSU student that lives off campus and live in area close to Grandriver Road (As circled in the picture I sent below). The closest CATA route that goes through my neighborhood is 25 however since it is a 30 minute interval my times are usually not close to where my MSU schedule is. It is not a big problem in the spring or fall for biking or walking but it is in winter. Why did CATA never made an "frequent" route that actually goes through this road?
Apparently Nazis in town. And there's that Naughty county clerk. There are sooooo many more nice people in town and I'd like to give them a shout out. i guess we have one on the Naughty list. See ya in the DM.
This is a weekly post for any events or goings on around the Capital area community this week.
I am craving blueberry pie. Not any, but the best. Suggestions?
I wanna improve my dancing, but usually when I try to find adult dance classes or clubs, I'm seeing swing, salsa type of dancing. Those dances look fun, but I tried a swing dancing class and the partner aspect of it was really messing with me.
But I really enjoy the high energy footwork movement of like a Melbourne shuffle, Detroit Jit, or Chicago footwork. I'd at least like to find a club within driving distance or something. What I find on my own are for youths.
Kinda seems like something you'd have to live in a major city to find... anyone know of anything?
Does anyone know if any of the fire/ems/police departments are doing any mass casualty training events coming up? I remember seeing a post years ago looking for volunteers for "victims" for a training event. Always thought it would be fun to volunteer for one of those events. Do they do them regularly or every once in a great while?
Does anyone know and recommends some place where I can order a thanksgiving turkey? I rather just pick it up on thanksgiving day and keep it warm in my oven with the stuffing and sides. Thanks in advance
So I am going to travel with my cat and we are Lansing at the Detroit airport . I usually take the Michigan flyer to East Lansing but they don’t allow pets and neither does the Indian trails. Do you have any recommendations on getting my cat to East Lansing ?

Does anyone here have opinions on Costumer’s Energy promotion for night time electric car charging rates? I and interested in possibly signing up for the promotion for a discounted bill, but I want people’s opinions of it first.
This is sort of random and inconsequential to most, but I'm looking for a commercial that stands out vividly from my childhood but I can't find any evidence of online. Since it's local to Lansing, I thought maybe someone here would remember it too! I even tried emailing Granger in the past, but never received a response.
It was a TV commercial from around 2005-2008ish for Granger, featuring their mascot, Captain Curby, in an animation style similar to the 2005 Empire Today commercial. It was sort of uncanny 3d animation from what I remember. It features him rolling down a winding sidewalk, maybe over hills, and the background is empty and white. He reaches a house at the end of the sidewalk and I don't remember what (if anything) happens after that.
I know it's a pretty vague description, but if this rings a bell I'd love to know!
Hey, looking to meet some people and make friends in the Lansing area.
edit: 33M sober, enjoy working out, books, coffee/tea, and walking the riverwalk trail.
Has anyone been to Nimbus in East Lansing by El Azteco? It’s the Karoke place. I have a few questions…. How much does it cost to have a space Is it BYOB Do they offer party packages TIA!!
My fiancée is looking for somewhere to donate a variety of things. Where would you recommend?
The City's CSO project is moving its way in and pruning/chopping down a bunch of trees. There are some solid trunks just lying around; mainly maple but a black ash and some other stuff. Dunno if it's any good for use in projects, but free is free.
Window in Downtown Lansing I did for Silver Bells in the City, Sweet Encounter Bakery and Q106 radio. You can vote for it at Q106 and on the night of silver Bells.
This is probably a weird question, but is there anywhere in town I might find an OEM repair kit on hand for the rollers in my Whirlpool clothes dryer? These have the two rollers, tension roller and belt. There are a ton of knock offs on Amazon for cheap but I don't mind paying more for genuine parts and would prefer to pick them asap if possible. Thanks
Hello!
My name is J.Plantana, and I'm a female alt rapper in the Lansing area. You may have seen me at The Fledge, The Junction, Stober's, Mac's (which I try to avoid these days) or more recently at The Avenue. Here's my music, if you're curious: linktree.com/jplantana
A friend and I are looking to plan a show that will feature alternative rappers inspired by Lupe Fiasco, A Tribe Called Quest, Brockhampton, and similar artists. We'd love to book a show in the Lansing (preferred) or Kalamazoo area in early December, if possible. I know The Fledge and The Ave are pretty booked up, so I figured I'd post here to investigate other venues. I'm definitely open to working with houses/co-ops!
We'd have about 6-7 artists. My friend is under 21, so bars aren't preferred, but restaurants, listening rooms, and similar establishments are totally cool. I've got a pretty good local following and the other artists are well-connected in the Lansing area, so I bet we'd get a decent crowd. I'm looking for responses from those who own/manage venues or can give me the contact info of these individuals.
Thanks guys! Let me know if you have any questions<3
P.S: I'm experienced in event planning and own an event company called Night Alliance.
IPW is back in Lansing in just 2 weeks!
