Rules:

  1. Positivity & wholesomeness. We're a positive LGBTQ+ space designed to be an escape from negativity online - This includes any screenshots/video of hate speech even when it's challenged. All posts must be positive, wholesome or just a bit awww and relevant to the LGBTQ+ community.

  2. Be respectful. No bigotry, discrimination or other hate of any kind. No personal insults or attacks or starting an argument for the sake of arguing. We're a positive space so all comments should in the spirit of making the sub a welcoming space for the LGBTQ+ community.

  3. No ads, spam, crowdfunders or general self promotion. This includes the advertising of crowdfunders, we cannot verify them, so for safety, we do not allow them. Please also avoid reposting recent posts.

  4. No NSFW content. We're a positive space for LGBTQ+ folks of all ages.

  5. No survey/research requests. Please post these to r/SampleSize or r/lgbtstudies.

  6. No posts asking to rate/roast or make assumptions. These posts encourage stereotyping or making assumptions about people based on presentation. Often these can make people uncomfortable and bring out a mix of stereotypes and pressure to present a specific way. This rule includes, but is not limited to; asking whether or not you pass, asking people to guess your gender/sexuality, and asking people to make assumptions about you based on your appearance.

  7. No venting posts/comments. This is not a place to post if you need mental health assistance or to vent about bad situations. We have resources in our wiki for that. We understand mental health can be a tricky thing and we encourage you to seek help but there are other spaces better suited for this.

  8. Credit artists. If the artwork/picture is not your own the original artist must be credited. This includes edits of existing work.

  9. Use Modmail and Report to contact mods. Do not argue with users in comments or contact mods personally via DM or chat. Use the report feature for anything that breaks our rules or use modmail if you're not sure or have another issue.

  10. Mod discretion. If as a mod team we feel a post/comment is not in the spirit of the sub we may remove it.

Gay-Straight Alliance Club

Hey everybody! I am a part of my high schools GSA club and we are starting the year off trying to brainstorm ideas for what to do. Our sponsor gives us a lot of freedom to decide what we want our GSA to accomplish. We do a lot of educational displays and we participate in the Day of Silence and we send out a newsletter to school staff on LGBTQ+ related topics to educate them so they can support our LGBTQ+ students. But we find ourselves stuck on new ideas of what to do. We really want to finish the year having done something impactful that we are proud of and that can maybe help our peers feel comfortable at our school. There are limitations with what we can do because of our school district. But if anyone out there has ideas or if you want to share what YOUR GSA does then all ideas are welcome!

*HOWEVER we try to avoid doing food related things because they are difficult to approve and you need a food handlers card for that

Binder Recommendations

Hi everyone! I’m a transman looking to buy my first binder, and I’m looking for recommendations. I’m looking for one that is cost-friendly, comfortable, and long-lasting. I’m 5’5” and weigh about 200 pounds, with a larger chest and stomach

I painted these little gingerbread men that I found a while ago. These are the flags so far, but I need 8 more in order to use all of the gingerbread dudes. (Genderfluid one is , just didn't have time to do it today) Please give me suggestions with the flag and the flag name!!

Also I tried getting the colors as close as possible to the flags, although some I could not get the correct color for the life of me and would of would up wasting paint 😅

Gassing up another trans woman at work

I recently came out as a trans guy. I work at a supermarket. A trans lady asked for help, she said my glasses are awesome and I said she has nice makeup and she’s really pretty. She told me it made her feel really good and my coworker also called me “man” and….god my heart feels so full after that.
