Hey all,
2024 has been an incredible year for transfeminine literature, and it’s about that time to look back and celebrate all of the authors and books that made it special. Turn out and show some love for your favorite books and authors! ❤️💞
Hey everyone, I'm in search of a coffee table book with queer/sapphic themes and would appreciate your recommendations!!
It can be about anything - art, history, fashion, storytelling, NSFW, photography, etc - as long as it's queer/sapphic lol
Thanks for the help <333
Hey everyone I'm Charli Kou!
Reality Bleeding is lesbian/queer cyberpunk novel that I'm releasing on Royal Road. It's also being released in audiobook format on my YouTube page. Please do take a look 👀
Here is the cover synopsis:
A game so immersive that you feel every cut, hear every arrow whizz by, and even smell the burning forests after a raid. It's the perfect escape from a harsh, unforgiving reality. Lucy dives into Gates of Baraadon, a VR massively-multiplayer online roleplay game (MMORPG) that fully engages the senses via a direct neural link to the brain. But when her closest in-game ally is killed in a sudden, shocking battle, Lucy is left reeling. Back in the real world, emotions from the game refuse to fade away. She’s about to discover that this world isn’t just about levelling-up but surviving when the boundaries between game and reality bleed into one another.
If Ready Player One and Lord of the Rings had a love child together and it was raised by William Gibson and Sword Art Online; Reality Bleeding would be it.
In this debut novel by Charli Kou, they ask – when a game is so intense that it feels real - what happens when you can't switch off? Exploring the complexities of love, loyalty and intimacy in a dangerous technologically advanced and morally ambiguous world - Reality Bleeding embraces the core of Cyberpunk - by examining the human condition in the face of radical technological and social change.
You can find the on-going release of my novel on Royal Road here:

I am also releasing the novel in an Youtube audiobook format which you can find here:

I really need lesbian/bisexual book recommendations!! I'm very very picky with romance books and I'm not looking for smut. I listened to this book called "When I'm with you" by Monica McCallan it...was... amazing. The entire book has this great emotional tension I'm NEEDING more of! It's just two people trying to get to know each other and navigate a relationship...with a great scene at the end ;)
I've tried listening to "Delilah Green doesn't care" by Ashley Herring Blake and a few other classic recommendations like it but I'm just not that into them. Please help!
I just finished watching Conclave which was brilliant and now I’m in the mood for more things set in the vatican, but of course gay. Give me all the secret affairs between cardinals please and thank you. I’m also open to other gay church books, be it priests or monks or anything else.
Hey, I’m looking for an MLM book with a bully x bullied dynamic. The main thing I want is for the bully to be the bottom. I’m specifically looking for a strict top/bottom relationship—no switching. I’d also like if it was a mean, bratty bottom, if that’s part of the dynamic.
I’m open to anything else, as long as it doesn’t include age play or a daddy/boy dynamic and incest.
Any recommendations?
For the next four days, my book The Hidden Heart of Magic is free as an ebook. It’s basically if Fern from Bookshops and Bonedust met and fell in love with a disaster hobbit lady.
In the shadowed streets of Avrem, Tano—a brave mousefolk—hunts for a hero to save her city. But when she meets Alyce, a mysterious halfling, their hearts ignite with a love that could change the world. Together, they’ll face evil wizards, deadly knights, and the darkest secrets of magic itself. Can love truly conquer all?
Ik this might be controversial but I actually like the tension that a third act break up brings to a story but I can’t find any recs 🫠. Examples: the clinch, edge of glory, all the little moments, crossing lines/blurred lines. Genre/subgenre doesn’t really matter
Just finished this book and overall enjoyed it, however I didn’t really understand what happened at the end and would like to hear what others thought, whether it was clear or not. I feel like I can come to certain conclusions about things, but yeah.. if anyone finished it I’d like to hear your thoughts about the ending. :-)
Are there any recommendations for a sapphic Dark Romance/Mafia book? Kindle Unlimited would be preferred.
In the lead up to this year's holiday season I have made dozens of short stories (6k-22k in length) available as 99c/99p eBooks!
If you'd like to purchase some digital gifts for your friends and loved ones, I have a variety of queer, funny, fantastical, freaky, and even erotic shorts. I'm a gay trans man living in Bradford in Yorkshire, but I'm originally from South Wales and lived in Ireland for the better part of a decade, thus my big focus on Welsh and Irish mythology & culture in a lot of my work - and as a disabled man, I of course put a lot of disability into it too.
Most of my work centres queer and trans men, has a big focus on disability, neurodivergence, and trauma recovery, and is pretty varied from short to short!
My work:
---
Gellert's New Job is about a grumpy autistic trans man in a fantasy crime town who gets kidnapped by a gigantic and perverted vampire mob boss, who basically forces Gellert to become his secretary. They fuck nasty, and they ARE nasty.
Books2Read / / Amazon
Dirk and the Weaver is a fantasy romance set in an isolated Scottish village between a shopkeep disabled by an old sports injury and the secretive and laconic fae man who comes to town fleeing a pursuer, but slowly learns to trust.
Books2Read / / Amazon
Sweet On is a contemporary romance about an extremely ADHD baker and café proprietor who becomes absolutely obsessed with a new freak of a patron - a flat-affect autistic called Benny Wu who seems to absolutely hate him in the SEXIEST way.
Books2Read / / Amazon
Ambitious Men is a fucked up fantasy horror about a young chef desperate to live up to his mentor's expectations, but is furious and dismayed when said mentor begins to take a strange and secretive interest in their new kitchen porter instead.
Books2Read / / Amazon
Saint Jude's Kitchen is a contemporary romance centering on the struggles of an injured deckhand who, at the urging of a dry-witted new friend in the pub, works to overcome his internalised homophobia and enrols in a cooking class.
Books2Read / / Amazon
Touch-Starved is a romantic erotica short about a repressed and painfully touch-starved straight(?) man who begins to jealously fixate on his openly bisexual disabled coworker's confident and apparently incredible sex life.
Books2Read / / Amazon
And these are just a small selection of the numerous works I have available, several dozen priced at the 99c/99p mark! I've dozens more to browse on my Amazon Author page or on my Books2Read page.
I publish many short stories and other shorts online, and these are a great intro to my body of work, which is already rather extensive and only growing with time. :)
Looking for ANY and ALL books that y'all love in the genderqueer arena of storytelling. Open to any genre, preferably on the more complex side but if you absolutely adore a YA title throw it in here! While this list is for my personal library, I also work in entertainment... so on the profesh side I'm always on the lookout for a title worth adapting to screen. <3
ey everyone! I’m looking for WLW book recommendations, but with a specific focus: beautiful, eye-catching covers. I don’t mean the ones that just have a fancy title design with flowers or abstract patterns . I’m talking about covers that actually feature gorgeous illustrations of the characters.
To clarify, I’m not looking for cartoonish or overly simplistic illustrations—I’m more into detailed, artful depictions that really capture the characters and the vibe of the story. There’s something about seeing the characters brought to life on the cover that makes the reading experience even more immersive for me.
If you know any books with stunning artwork that showcases the characters and aligns with the WLW theme, I’d love to hear your recommendations!
Some good examples for beautiful covers are Gideon the ninth, Harrow the ninth , Brighter than Scale Swifter than Flame
Thanks in advance!
Looking for recommendations of any genre. I loved Jayce and Viktor’s relationship in the show and would really like a gay novel with a similar dynamic. I loved the complexity surrounding their different upbringings/social standing, and how their union would be unexpected to an outsider. I also loved the high stakes of the story, and how it pushed them to make morally questionable choices. Good ending is not necessary, and neither is any sex. If anyone has any recs please let me know!
My boyfriend and I are looking for the next book we read together and were looking for a mystery. Goodreads didn't seem to offer many easy to find in libraries so I wanted to see if anyone knew any here. I've already read Lavender House by Lev A.C. Rosen so his books are out.
Thank you in advance!
I've been reading all kinds of queer books lately but I can't seem to find a trope where the other girl is unpopular or nerdy and the other one is popular. I'm kind of in search of one where the popular girl is a femme service top. Also, If anyone has t4t book recommendations (I'm pretty sure I've seen all) I'd gladly appreciate it. (Also in desperate need for trans fem x cis fem). Thanks!
Anyone have any British queer recs that are MISERABLE. Miserable OR (dark) academia* (or both). I can only think of Maurice.
(*Back in Highschool I really studying The History Boys by Alan Bennet. The characters were witty in a way I enjoyed but it was problematic in the way it portrayed the emotional maturity of the characters and the ending, which is a shame. It reminded me of Dead Poets Society in some ways. I’d love to read a British academia book like that.)
Any time period is fine (modern/historical etc). I’d love to see some working class MCs (still everything and anything is fine). Happy ending / sad ending, anything is fine.
Anyone know of any books similar to or feel like The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger, but with a queer MC? I always felt that that was missing in the story for me but still loved it.
I'm open to any and all suggestions for myself. But I have a more specific request for my work secret Santa.
I like the coworker I got. I want to get her a great gift and a book she'll enjoy reading. I got three other things from her list in addition to this book. But I also want her to learn a little at the same time (see context below if you're curious why). Ideally there's some minor/subplot related to the characters gender. A character that is referred to throughout the book with they/them pronouns would also be great. And of course a solid mystery with good writing and all that jazz.
For a little context I'm nonbinary, they/them, she's an older woman who struggles with these. We have had a decent relationship, I am super chill about my pronouns, most of my work is very good about them. I know she's well meaning and trying, I'm not especially androgynous. I think a book that has a character with they/them pronouns might help her practice it more in her head.
Hi, I am looking for book suggestions. I have a final project for my Grade 12 AP English course, and my thesis is about how the freedom of female sexuality is negatively represented in literature to propagate it as a threat to the patriarchy and heteronormative society. The project requires I have at least 3 fiction novels to create an argumentative essay that proves my statement and shows a change in how the idea is represented over time.
My teacher approved Carmilla(1872). The theme of female "sexual deviancy" and the archetype of the "predatory lesbian character" are prevalent in the plot and message. I had initially looked into 1950s-1960s pulp fiction, specifically, "Satan Was a Lesbian"(1966) by Fred Haley. However, it is much too much erotica for my Catholic high school. For my text predating Carmilla, I found The New Atlantis(1709) by Delarivier Manley; however, there is no trace of the novel anywhere (unless I'm willing to pay $80 for a partial edition.)
I am coming here at a loss; I have tried scouring every corner of the internet to find 2 novels written pre and post-Carmilla that fit into my thesis. So, I would like to turn to your interests and expertise to help me with any suggestions that come to mind.
I'm a bisexual woman and I really love to read and recently realized I never really read wlw books (or romance in general)... Any recommendations? No ""dark"" romance/weird undertones please!!
I'm writing a book about a man in a abusive relationship and the cop trying to help him. It's called Victim it's on Wattpad and I have my own patreon patreon.com/CalvinD1357 https://www.wattpad.com/story/379292569-victim
Hey guys, sort of vanilla request but I’m looking for books, erotica or not, that have mlm sex scenes that are.. for lack of better phrasing, more realistic? Just looking for stuff with realistic conflicts, instead of fantasy and preferably not dark romance. Thanks guys 😭
I just finished Game of Thrones and I’m looking for a book/series that is similar. Preferably with strong female characters and a sapphic romance.
Looking for spicy sapphic books (esp audiobooks) written in either Spanish, Portuguese, or French. Translations are okay, but I’d prefer them to originally be in these languages.
I need some cheesy sapphic romance/rom-com recs that feature at least one butch. you'll have my eternal gratitude if you know of any good butch4butch ones. I've been reading a lot of classic lit and just want a good time with maybe some smut and definitely a happy ending 😪
