!I don't like different routes because it confuses me. Who does MC encounter in the original ending of the manga? Or are the 2 routes considered original? Personally, I like Ririna more. Please someone help. I don't understand route events!<
I just read up to the chapter on their backstory and its been driving me crazy, does the sereis just end with him having crippling depressions SMFH
Need more manga like Koi to Uso ;-;
I actually watched the anime long ago. Then I didn't had the time to read manga. But I think now I have. But it would be a great help if you tell me which chapters were skipped from manga. I don't want to miss any part. Please.. If I remembered the anime well I would be able to search my self. But I need help this time. Please... Help.... I jusy need a list of skipped chapters.
I’ve seen a theory which says that Misaki had to undergo some government program where she ended up with another man that had a random age for some reason? And that she needed to do that for the government to treat Yukari? Is that really true based on the manga? If not, please correct me.
I’d appreciate your answers. Thank you!
P.S. I still haven’t read the manga but I wanna know Misaki’s secret.
I've been wanting to know why his phone just glitched from "Misaki" to "Ririna" when he received his government notice/notification. I'd appreciate your answers. Thank you!
Is there any proper translations past chapter 203? I’ve been getting these double pages where I have to zoom in to read them and the translation sucks. Anyone knows any other manga site?
Watched the anime years ago and suddenly started to read the manga but I don't know if it will be explained why the letter had another name and the message in the beginning showed Takasakis name at first? Is there an explanation or was it just something like a imagination from the MC?
Okay, so the premise of this story is really good. The intrigue with the hacker friend and the secret deal to save Yukari is really good. The dynamic with the MCs relationships with the two girls toward the beginning is good.
But wtf is this story trying to say?
Lilina route: love can be quantified and solved by science
Misaki route: so many batshit insane red flags that I can’t even (such as, for starters, you should commit suicide just to preserve an infatuation from elementary school)
When I was reading, I kept thinking how completely braindead the MC is for not just settling with Lilina, especially after he finds out about the disease deal. At that point, how is it even remotely a decision? I kept expecting him to have a learning moment where he realizes that his infatuation from elementary school is childish and is holding back his life. But that’s not really what happens. Instead, the story keeps putting that elementary school infatuation on a pedestal, while ALSO showing that an algorithm can find true love.
It’s like the author started writing the story, ended up with two horrible awful themes, and for some reason decided to go hard on both of them.
It’s just frustrating to have such a strong start and a bad ending.
[p.s. the Lilina x Yukari hot springs scene is god tier]
Answer the question please because there's no clear answer. Sorry if there's wrong with my english
Answer the question please because I've searched it and there's no clear answer
I just watched the anime this 2023 September 9. Answer the question please because I've searched it but there's no clear answer
The twin ending, regardless of either kinda end in a bitter sweet way, (personally on team riri) Riri ending kinda sends a bad message, while takasaki ends up basically settling after pretty much deciding that self unalive is the better option then watching them be together, while in takasaki route, its just mega feels bad for riri, Mc potentially kicking the bucket soon, when a better ending isn’t that far away imo, takasaki’s best friend (white hair girl that ends up liking the dude that works at the ministry) is pretty much expected to become to head honcho of the whole system, her grandmother founded it, while they also have black Mail in the form that they are literally letting people die from a curable disease in order to coerce teenagers into eugenics and if I recall correctly in a earlier chapter, gov was already scared of bad press for the system, between those two points, feels like the main trio could have ended together, and yes while harem endings are kinda a cop out, the author has already pretty much written themselves into a spot where regardless of which singular girl wins, it’s still rather bitter sweet, to be clear, I’m usually a OTS fan rather then harem, but this is one of the series where I think it would have actually been better as a harem end
Where is the third route with 3some guys and girls i was crying
I think that should be a another route where ukari get both of the girls and be happy for example all protagonist escape to another country lol or yukari get divorce with ririna and get with both to be couple without getting married so like 3some
AND WHERE THE YAOI ENDING?!??!!?!?!?!?!?!
Why is it soooo bad? It was all going preety well in the hut chapter and the chapter before. The eraser bet, Takasaki motivation and her panels, the talk in the hut. They should probably kiss at least given how their relationship started and all but it was good enough. But then what? Why did Ririna just flip out? She knew MC loved Takasaki since the very beginning. She should be angry and dissapointed but idk, 2 lines and leaving maybe forever? Terrible. And then the last chapter? what is going on... No closure for many characters and the main pair seems distant (he even says that they didnt have time for each other last year) he still refers to his wife as Takasaki???? Will he keep calling her that forever lol? And all the joy is undercut by the "yeah imma die any day now, prob" and how they never really adressed the issue of "my choice vs goverment notice" that was heavily implied in Takasakis flashbacks? Wedding where???
Ive been in team Takasaki since the beginning so im probably biased but it looked for me like the Takasaki was the real end game narratively with the way the manga started, with all her secrets, with long chapters of her flashbacks, with her being both his savior the damsel in distress? Like it wouldnt feel right for me if MC (yeah i forgot the name cus fuck this guy) just came back to Ririna after all of this. She was great support for him and Takasaki was bullshiting a bit too much and many ppl got tired by it, I get it, but it still seems like a better choice narratively. How tf then her ending seems like an afterthought? This makes both endings feel bad and out of place. Ririnas cus Takasaki just lives on like nothing happened and Takasaki cus of all of the above.
Yeah, I know im late to the party but I only remembered about this manga after years so plz share your thoughts with me.
As unrealistic as it may be, I really wanted the four main characters to wind up in a polycule together. I loved seeing the friendship blossom between the four of them, but there was clearly potential and space for love to bloom in different ways.
Misaki x Yukari Ririna x Yukari Yukari x Ririna x Misaki Yūsuke x Yukari
Yukari clearly cared for all three of them (in differing amounts). Ririna and Misaki have a strong friendship which could have become something more. And Yusuke was clearly struggling with his feelings for Yukari the whole time.
I only watched the anime, so I don't have any additional context, but this was what I kept hoping for while watching the show.
PS: Yūsuke seemed like they could've also been trans coded, which could've been a whole thing on its own
Tempted to read the rest now that it’s all out but I’m terrified to go in if the ending was terrible. Without going into spoilers, how would you rate the ending? I still have scars from Domestic na Kanojo and do not whatsoever want to go through something like that again.
As the title says, Im not really interested in reading the manga so if anyone could summarize what happens after it would be much apricated.
Hello friends! I watched the anime of this and had quite a decent time, but not decent enough to read the manga. Ririna was my best girl but I see both ladies got their own alt endings. May I ask what happened to Nisaka? He was my favourite so I'm curious to know if he was assigned someone or not.
Cheers!
Just finished Love and Lies and went on to read what other people commented about the two endings.
There are a few things that stick out to me:
1.People claiming that the Lilina Route was supposed to be canon and that it feels more real than the Takasaki Route.
->No, no and no! The mangaka didn't make any official statement on what ending she considered to be the "real" ending. So claiming that the ending of your favorite couple is the "real" ending is silly. Stop spreading rumors!
I actually really like the idea that the mangaka went through the trouble to prepare two endings. (My only beef is that we didn't get a Nisaka ending too! :P)
I also totally disagree with people saying the Takasaki Route was inferior to the Lilina route. Personally, I found the Lilina Route rather bland. They get married, all their friends are there and old rivals (Misaki and Nisaka) make jokes at each other, ... blah blah, saw that a 1000 times already in so many other mangas, anime and movies. It's so generic that IF you want to go as far as to argue that the mangaka favored an ending it would not be this copy paste story. BUT we don't go that far and people who enjoy the Lilina route should just enjoy it. Yukari and Lilina defiantly had a good chemistry and it's totally thinkable that they end up together. Just don't claim that it's the one and only canon route...
Btw, some Takasaki fans were disappointed that there was no big wedding ceremony for her, but I was more than content with her ending. When they sat in the river and put that stupid eraser together... T_T That was such a wonderful moment!! I also really liked how Nisaka commented on Yukari having grown to live his life following his heart at the graduation ceremony. I really love Nisaka's character and getting his approval of Yukari's choice just felt so good.
2.Many people complain that in the Takasaki Route, Lilina acts out of character by saying she hates Yukari.
-> While I agree the scene was way too short (I think limited time and page space is the reason for that), I don't think Lilina's reaction is that simple. I think the biggest reason why she got so angry at Yukari saying that he decided to live "the rest of his life" with Takasaki is, that Lilina knows, Yukari's life will likely be very much shortened by that decision. So her anger is a proof of her love she developed over the time. You can then see that she pauses for a second before she says "I hate you", which shows that she didn't just blurt these words out in hatred but choose them deliberately, probably to make it easier for Yukari to cut loose from his relationship with her. Lilina probably understands that her being around the couple, would cause Yukari and Takasaki to feel bad for Lilina and she chooses to clearly distance herself to make it easier for them (and also for herself). While we all love fuzzy everyone is happy together in the end stories, in some cases it just doesn't work that way. And in these situations is the best to make a clear cut, which is what she did.
!...the fact that the government is running a damn eugenics program, are forcing people into sexual slavery under threat of negligent homicide, are concealing the "fatal gene" (lol) from the public - along with the fact that they can treat it - and are basically threatening a teenage girl with the death of a loved one if she doesn't become a brood mare.!< Like, I feel like instead of the "will they or won't they?!" stuff at the end, maybe they ought to be a little more angry about all of that? Why didn't the MC choose both girls to go firebomb a government building? That's MY golden route for this manga.
I have heard about this manga for quite a while now and now finally have some time to read it. But I'm seeing mixed opinions even on this subreddit. I don't want to go through 287 chapters to realise it's domekano all over again. So i wanted to directly ask the readers if this manga is worth reading.
Coming from DomeKano which I enjoyed a lot, I was curious if the characters here also develop their relationship/intimacy beyond just hand holding and kissing.
I guess what I'm asking is if the characters have sex, or is it a very slow burn where it ends with MC just picking a girl at the very end (depending on the ending you read)?
