Artificial Intelligence (AI) refers to advanced systems designed to mimic human intelligence by performing tasks such as voice recognition, learning, and decision-making. These technologies use complex algorithms and extensive data to simulate certain cognitive functions of the human brain, though without consciousness or emotions.
In popular films and media, AI is often depicted as a looming threat or a malevolent force, creating widespread fear and mistrust. Such portrayals can distort public perception, leading to the belief that AI might pose a danger to humanity. In reality, however, AI is predominantly developed to enhance our daily lives. It simplifies tasks, analyzes large volumes of data, and fosters innovation across various fields including healthcare, education, and transportation.
This book aims to demystify AI, separating fact from fiction and highlighting its positive, transformative potential. By providing a clear understanding of AI's true capabilities and addressing common misconceptions, we seek to illustrate how these technologies can be harnessed for beneficial purposes, contributing to a more efficient and equitable future.
Please help! Basicly the title. I keep getting recommendations from a some authors. But I dont like their writing style and they write so many books that they are crowding my recommendations, turning it very hard to find book I actually would like. So I dont want to see any book from them in my recommendations. Is there any way?
I just finished “the last party” by Torres and “night road” by Kristen Hannah. I love having the audiobook so I can listen while I drive. Any recommendations. I’m open to most genres but tend to prefer female main characters and don’t really like sci fi or fantasy (but love fantasy romance so fantasy might be growing on me!)
I, M27, haven't read in a long time but wanted to start reading books again. As a kid I read a lot, mostly Goosebumps and books similar to that. I have an interest in Sci-Fi, Thriller, Mystery stuff but I am having a hard time finding recommendations. Does anyone have any or a site I can use to find suggestions?
Skylar, fiercely independent and cunning, is thrust into a perilous quest with two mysterious brothers from another realm, where shifting loyalties and unraveling secrets force her to rely on every ounce of her wits to survive and defy those who seek to control her.
Please read the trigger warnings! I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

A couple of years ago I had kindle unlimited. I no longer use it much, I haven’t used it for about a year, and I’m trying to cancel. There is no record of my subscription anywhere. While trying to cancel it, I accidentally signed up for a free trail (which I didn’t think was possible if my email was already used) and cancelled that free trail right away. That has been confirmed to be cancelled.
BUT my original subscription is still standing, with no evidence of it anywhere on Amazon, and im still being charged each month.
Under memberships and subscription on my account, it will only show that free month trail by accident. No record of any other subscriptions in the past. Any helpful tips or tricks would be helpful before I just give up and call support.
Update: I contacted Amazon. They had no evidence of any subscription other than that free trail. No evidence that they’ve even been charging my card for Unlimitied (tho they did have record of my actual Amazon purchases I.e: a sweater I bought recently) so they have not been getting money from me anyway. I also confirmed that my card is not attached to any other account, as I’ve only ever had one. So I ended up cancelling my card and hopefully it’s all finished now.
Viviana Papadakis needs to tell you something. Dinosaurs are still alive. Don’t freak out. Sometimes extinct animals pop into the present – long story how. Viv’s family business is wrestling them into submission (not literally, she’s tiny) before they eat anyone…or go viral. From a homemade underground complex in Nevada, her team dashes around the world, keeping triceratops and dragons from the public eye. (Dragons are real, by the way.)
Viv doesn’t need her life to get more interesting...but it will. A college flame, Ethan, has joined the team. Challenging missions – from Japan to Mexico to Ukraine – will pit her against the largest creatures that have ever walked the earth. A legend from the old West will appear …and he’s not bad looking. The most dangerous figure of all, though, is someone from the distant past with a plan to destroy the world in order to save it.

Hey guys! My book is going on sale before and after Halloween. 🎃 It's a AHS Coven meets fantasy so it's definitely a modern take but with magic.
So I'm looking for some book recs where the guy falls first. I've been obsessed with these lately, but I've been having some trouble finding ones I have read yet. Any recommendations would be great, I'm not picky on the genre. Thank you!
My KU app isnt working, i still have my borrowed books in my library but i cant borrow another even if i return the read ones. Yesterday it worked just fine.
I recently subscribed to KU. I’ve read maybe 5 books so far with it. When I return them, if I search for the book will it say I already had that book? For example if I buy a kindle book and I search in the Amazon store and click on a book I already own, it says bought on whatever date. Will KU tell me that I already rented it? I have a bad habit of reading a summary of a book and then questioning if I read or not.
Hi, all! I’m an avid romance reader and I write for fun. Recently, I’ve had a sudden burst of inspiration to write a fantasy-romance but I don’t know much about the genre. Naturally, part of my research is in the form of reading book included in the genre lol I’ve read the ToG series and that’s about it. It’s just really hard for me to get into the fantasy worlds— LOVE dragons, fairies, princesses, etc. but something always throws me off.
Basically, I need KU recommendations that are romantasy. Preferably 1st person POV. I’m not a fan of vampires/werewolves/fated mates (pretty sure that’s paranormal romance anyway).
Thank you so much!!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CJ9SV4NR This series is comprised of three fast-paced stories of about 140 pages each: Chivalry Will Get You Dead, Murders in the Gray and A Violent Man with more still to come.
Series Synopsis -
“All I wanted was to put my past at the bottom of an endless bottle after I lost my badge and my wife. Between the prostitutes, dealers and the starship’s governing Earls, it’s hard for a former detective to keep his nose outta murder investigations. Our ancestors were sent on this multigenerational voyage aboard the Starship Australis with the noble intent of one day populating a new planet with the human species. Guess nothing changes our nature, though. There’s gonna be good people; there’s gonna be bad people.
“One day I’ll figure out which one I am, I suppose.”
Inspired by the grit of Mickey Spillane and the concision of Elmore Leonard, The Starship Australis Mysteries are a sci-fi / mystery mash-up devised in the best traditions of the dime store paperback. It is part of the 10 Cent Universe – a genre-bending macrocosm – that will continue with the sci-fi / western series Gunslingers of Gaea.
This series contains adult themes and content.
If I pay for kindle unlimited subscription do I select read now or download to borrow this book?
I don’t wish to pay for any books unless I’m dying to read them.
Please help this gal who so badly wants to be in her kindle era 🤣🫶🏼
Offering a free download of Caballeros Book 1 for the next 5 days.
Ideally fantasy or something non modern/urban. So far I've gotten really into different series and then it introduces a love triangle and then I nope out. I just can't seem to handle love triangles anymore (unless it's like a triad situation, where it's A/B, A/C, B/C)
Things I'm not fond of:
I want something adult themed, but it could YA. I just need some recommendations, please.
Thank you!

Hello to all. Prelude To War is the second book of my Epic Fantasy Trilogy. The first book is The Descendant and is also available on Kindle Unlimited. The books have been described as "page turners" and "emotional roller-coaster rides". I believe those to both be fair descriptions.
The books have also been described as being a cross between "Lord of The Rings and Hunger games". I was honored to be mentioned in the same breath as LOTR, but I've never read Hunger Ganes (nor seen the movies) so I can't offer an opinion on that bit. I felt the comparison to LOTR was humbling and embarrassing to be quite honest.
At any rate, the focus of the books is a set of broken protagonists, and what they have to go through in order to heal themselves. If they can do that, then they can confront the menace that threatens their world. The books are character and plot driven as opposed to the opposite. What I mean by this is that the character arcs are an integral part of the plot, and the two parts feed off each other. There's lots of action (but not meaningless action!) and it has also been described by one reader, as something he couldn't put down. So, if that's the kind of fantasy book your looking for, have a go at it and I hope you enjoy it.
Also, honest reviews on Amazon are greatly appreciated. Lots of folks read stuff and don't leave reviews, which is perfectly fine, but authors like me crave real and honest feedback. At any rate, I hope you enjoy the book(s)!
The Ripper Lives: A Name for Evil (9/10)
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CSTTY7D5
ABOUT THE RIPPER LIVES:
The Ripper Lives is a 10-part serialized novel (1/3) that continues the story of Jack the Ripper after the Canonical Five. Although a work of fiction, the series include familiar characters from the real life drama: Inspector Frederick Abberline, Melville Macnaghten, police surgeon Sir Thomas Bond, Commissioner James Munro and many others. The 9th installment will be published on Friday, October 24th and the Series I finale the day after #Halloween, on November 1st.
ABOUT A NAME FOR EVIL:
THE FRICTION BETWEEN GOOD AND EVIL CREATES A THREAT THAT ONLY ONE SIDE, OR PERHAPS NEITHER, WILL SURVIVE“There it was; WE HAD OUR ANSWER. Yet we lingered for a minute or two in the damning silence, wondering if it was all worth it. My head was spinning, my palms slick with sweat.”
The Force receives information that could break the case wide open. But as they inch ever closer to the Ripper, so close they can touch, they face a peril worse than anything in nightmares.
**“**I became dimly aware of Macnaghten’s movements, hobbling over an unsteady path, shoes sinking and sliding beneath the surface, on his way to the fireplace. There, he uncovered a pot of stew resting on an iron rack adjacent to the hearth. Curious, he blew against the logs, and ashen white pulsed fiery orange, the flames not yet dead. There was life still in them, which, more often than not, meant the same for the house in which we stood.
‘Pot’s still warm,’ he whispered, suddenly on edge, but it was the cocking of his hammer that drew me back to fearful attention. Simultaneously, WE TURNED OUR EYES UPWARD**.”**

I’ve been having an issue with my kindle while reading some kindle unlimited books. When I try to turn the page, it won’t, the “before you go” page comes up (the one that usually appears when you’re done the book) and I can’t turn the page. I have to manually go in and type in the next page into the locator to get it to move.
It is super frustrating because it never happens until I’m into a book and then I just can’t stop reading it.
Anyone else having this issue or know how to fix it? I checked and all the software says it’s updated.
I released a mystery thriller this month, if you want a Halloween read. Here’s a shortened version of the blurb:
Sixty-seven years ago, two young women met a tragic fate at Camp Rockatchee.
Sydney Wilkerson’s grandmother was a camper at the time and lived nearby, but Sydney was never told all the details.
Sydney barely knew about rumors that the camp owner dabbled in the occult. And she had no idea her grandmother was once friends with both missing girls.
But when her grandmother’s death transfers her estate to Sydney, she learns there’s more to her inheritance than a forest and long-lost memories.
