Hello! I hope you're doing well. I'm thinking about buying a Kindle. I've never used one before, but it seems like a very practical solution for reading. However, I have a problem. I currently live in France, but I don't speak French very well. I would like to know if, once purchased, I can change the language of the Kindle to English or Spanish, and also read books in these languages and not in French. Is this possible? I want to make sure before making the purchase.

Hi! I'm about to buy a kindle paperwhite however unsure which storage to go with, I generally only use kindle unlimited and only own about 3 books on kindle so would I need the 32GB or would 16BG be okay? Thank you!

Okay, I admit I was one of the ones that thought this was a “dumb trend” at first, but the more I saw the more it grew on me, so I converted 😩 please forgive me for my original judgement. They’re really cute and it’s more comfortable to hold than my old case.

It was really hard to keep the stickers in place while I put the case on though! The bottom sticker is poking through the charging hole slightly, I hope that doesn’t drive me nuts

I use Send To Kindle to read, normally sending PDFs or Epubs. How can i make a cover appear instead of just the plain doc one? It really annous me that some have covers and some don’t

Kobo has recently released two e-readers in color, do you guys think Amazon will now be forced to do it too?

I’ve been debating on getting a Kindle, will more than likely get the basic one (affordability at the time, with it being $100 or $120 depending on ad or no ads version).

My larger question is for anyone who got one, that was using the Kindle app for phone/tablet, as that’s what I currently use.

I have a 12.9” iPad Pro and my phone. The main perks I’m seeing/has me intrigued for buying a Kindle ereader is the fact that it doesn’t have such a glare, for when I want to read outside and have the digital book, and for when I just want to set my devices aside and not be distracted by notifications or be tempted to get sidetracked.

I’m getting more and more into reading again, and want more affordable books (hence Kindle app).

Also, is the $20 worth it for the ad version vs non ads version?

I kayak pretty much every day in the summer I was wondering If I dropped my kindle paperwhite signature edition and was unable to recover it would the warranty cover the loss?

I’ve had a Kindle for years, but I never sent an e-book or a PDF to my Kindle. I just sent one because I wanted to test it. Now…I don’t know where to find the document. If you email something to your Kindle email…where does it show up? (I’m probably just overlooking it!)

I am looking to buy a kindle from an amazon.es account, and i wonder if i can get it and register it under my amazon.com account.

Has anyone done this and had the kindle only appear in devices under amazon.com?

I have a new Paperwhite and keep needing to restart it. It doesn’t respond to me clicking the links on the homepage unless it’s a book suggestion. And when I type to try and search the screen is turning white and won’t show anything until I restart it. I posted this earlier and it’s nowhere to be found in the group. I’d appreciate any help.

I used to visit book fair and stay there for hours in search for a particular edition of a particular book!

Used to find pleasure and comfort in the smell of old books. It was all fun and thrill while browsing through huge pile and finding that one book that one cover that one message which was left by the original owner.

It was like holding a piece of someone else's memories.

But ever since I got kindle I find it as waste of time and energy. Overall it's not fun anymore.

I can edit any book and personalize it the way I want.

Also I used to have this wishful thinking to meet someone in one of those book events.

Now I just visit these fair to get books for friends or to give them away.

I just hope to find balance somewhere in between soon.

I’ve been using kindle devices and online readers since their inception in 2007. I’ve gone through three devices so far. In all this time the sync feature has been buggy. It’s so annoying to me that a core feature isn’t given enough attention to make it rock solid.

It’s enough to make me consider competing devices and services.

Why can't I see my highlights on the Kindle app? My Kindle Paperwhite is connected to Wi-Fi. I have synced, and Whispersync is on.

As of this morning my Oasis will no longer auto-rotate. It's probably my favorite feature of this device and it just stopped. It happened after I purchased a new book, and the "Updating reading experience" thing happened. I've checked all the settings (Both device settings and setting within the book, i.e. Font menu). I rebooted twice and then reset the entire device. It's still not rotating on any of my books. Anyone else experiencing this?

I want to sell my kindle without ads and keep the one that is ad supported. I would like to add adds to the one I want to sell and remove them from the one I am keeping.

What do you guys prefer ebooks or physical books? Ever since I got my Kindle I've been preferring ebooks. That fact that I don't have to worry about bookshelf space and I don't have to lug around a bunch of books with me, plus not have to worry about good lighting or if I don't know what a word means I can just long press on it to get the definition. Anyways just curious about what you guys think and prefer.

As the title says, I’m trying to find a way to get “The girl next door” on Kindle, but no matter what region I use or what I search, I’m not able to find it. Haven’t tried Kindle Unlimited, but I feel like that’s kind of expensive for the amount of time I’d actually use it (it’s also unavailable in my country). Am I missing anything? Thanks.

I desperately want to remove the ads on my Kindle Paperwhite and have been trying all day to make it work. After trying the tip with the costumer support to have the ads removed for free without any result, i went to pay the 20€ to have the ads removed, but could only add a new option for payment. After chatting with the support for 6 times i finally got the information that i need a credit card to remove the ads. Well, i dont have a credit card and wont get one for this. Are there maybe other option i´m not aware of that could work?

I'm currently reading things we never got over on kindle unlimited and im a slow reader. Do you keep the book until you return it or it's there a time limit like libraries??? And to return it do you finish the book and it immediately goes away or do you have to manually return it

I wish the stats were based on pages read. The next book I plan to read is “Homeland” by John Jake’s and it is 1200 pages long. Almost changed my mind.
