Hey Folks, bought my first cart this weekend and am having some issues, went to the sellers and kart would not start upon arrival as it had been sitting for sometime, after some trouble shooting we ended up changing the carb and fuel pump, Kart started up and ran well, today I switched out the wiring harness as there was a loose connection and as you can see in the video, the kart would start when you gave it some throttle, but would not get going or idle, in the video the kart is full throttle, was flowing tons of gas out of the carb.
I am a little stumped as to where to go next, would appreciate any insight on where the issue may lie and what to try next.
Hey guys I wanted to share my video with u guys and I would like some feedback on it if u guys have watched it. There is another vid coming up so I would appreciate it if u would like and subscribe
Want a 5/6 speed kart that isn’t going to require a ton of maintenance. Just want to drive it for fun, not spend a ton of hours and $$ on it. What’s the bmw m3 of go karts?
I've been karting at Meco Kartopia, Bangalore and I can't improve my lap time past 1:25. I believe the best lap times on this track are 1:20. How do I get there??
Footage link (2 good laps): https://youtu.be/L2BbTc9tXAU?t=360
Also here's the track. Perhaps timings can be improved on the first 3 tight turns and last wide turn. But I'm not sure.
Track start and direction on red
I've been reading up and applying some techniques like
But. It. Isn't. Working.
Send me your help and pro tips please!
Sorry for the poor pov. It's my first karting video on a rented cam and I only had a chest mount.
I am 173cm and my dad is 186cm, the size I am thinking about is M (176cm-182cm). Would I be able to wear it if I get to the height of my dad or should I wait this season and wear my smaller suit so I can buy the next size.
Hey everyone,
I’m looking to buy my first karting suit, but I’m a bit stuck on what to choose. I tried searching online for advice, but no one agrees on what’s supposedly the 'best'.
My Budget:
Brands That Are Available at My Local Shop (Speedwear, Belgium):
I’m also considering OMP suits, but they aren’t available at my local shop, so I’d have to order one without trying it on first which would be a bummer if it didn't fit and I would need to send it back.
Some Extra Info:
Would any of these brands be good at my price point, or should I just save up for something better?
so... im going karting for the nationals, and i need 8 kg lead for my rental kart. so i want a extra seat to put the lead onb (7 kg) and i dont want some foam floppy stuff, any seats that are harder and fit with a rental kart seat lkike a sodi kart>?
maybe something like a tillett seat?
Hello everyone,
Been out if karting fornquite sometime and looking to get back into it. I found a local who has a 2024 chassis with a IAME 175SSE shifter. Engine has about 25 hours.
I am not looking to compete, or squeeze every second i can. Plan to run it conservative but still spirited. Longevity, 91 octane, reduced rebuilds are the goal if thats even possible.
This rig is complete and running for under $5k.
Is this a good deal or should i look for something else? There is other sellers running kawasaki/suzuki 125's but i cant really get anyone to answer when i send a PM asking for information, they dont even read the message via facebook or offerup.
Should i keep looking or is this an ok deal to get going?
I’m in the market for a new daily driver, my budget is sub 10k. I’m also new to karting. (At least in terms of owning one) I was just wondering what the best car/truck/van would be best.
Requirements for the car: Preferably No V8’s-but hey if I don’t have a choice that’s okay. No autos. Partner doesn’t want a van but I can make it work. -So preferably no vans too.
I have a lot of Karting equipment, and due to my age it’s unlikely that I’ll be getting back on track again. I have two excellent shifter chassis, 3 motors, kart stands, 2 radiators, two mychrons, and tons of spares. Like 12 set of wheels, 10 sets of hubs (or something like that), 6 spare axles, a sniper alignment tool, race air pro, lots of carb jets, spare body work (side pods, front and rear bumpers, nose), lots of spare chassis parts (steering columns, bumper mounts, side pod mounts, etc). Lots more than that.
How do people sell their equipment safely? I honestly don’t want to ship the heavy stuff.
I’m looking for advice on the best place to advertise and best way to sell all of this racing equipment.
I appreciate any advice.
Question my sons garbage kart needs some front wheels I have tires I picked up locally rain tires and just want wheels for them they are 10x4.50x5 where could I source some wheels for the tires without breaking the bank. It’s a old cart don’t want to spend a ton he doesn’t race or anything
This year my Son has moved up from J1 dirt karting to J2 which finally means no limiter and we can use an open coil, and change sprocket ratio, yay! we Have a Briggs and Stratton formula (animal??) and we have changed to a blue coil, I think 12000 rpm, and changed back sprocket to 60 tooth, front is still 12. I am Mum, and we are very much still learning.
He had his first run on the weekend and it seemed only marginally quicker than when he used to hit limiter on his old coil, and seemed to bog out as if limited in the straight. Also, with the choke closed it just dies.
We checked the carby and the fuel float is fine, no blockages, and then checked the air gap properly on the coil as we had just used a business card the first time. Didn’t seem to make a difference.
Any ideas of what to check next - thinking it could be a fuel thing? Does this motor have injectors I may need to check?
i have a rotax max 125 evo junior and sometimes after a bit of driving the clutch makes a weird noise and when i spin the wheel it will randomly lock and make the weird noise and it stops when i take the clutch apart and put it back together.
I passed my dmax assessment today but even though my brake was too far away I could still press it all the way it was a bit difficult but every time I brake I feel like I’m putting barely any pressure in the Oi ya the brake feel fine but when I went out I kept braking at 70% and crashing but when I braked hard I lost my rear can someone help bc I wanna fix this bc I’m doing championship in this class
How much psi should these tires be? It says 4 bar but I don’t know what psi that is.
I know it's a PCR and it's a standard U.S. version, I'm wondering what year it is
I'm looking to buy one of these laptimers. The unipro one seems easier in use and more convinent since the GPS and battery are built in and is smaller in size. Featurewise I dont see much of a difference beetwen them. The 7006 is more expensive than one and i see more people using 7006. Is there something that 7006 really does better than one?
When I first started karting I never had this pain, but now towards the end of every session on fast right turns, I get a sharp pain that weakens when I am not turning. Anyone experienced this before? And how can I fix it.
I have an endurance karting race coming up that requires communication with the driver on track. What i need is a com system that is easily transferable to another helmet so we can communicate with each driver. i’d rather buy just 2 or 3 and rotate them around our line up. if you guys could guide me in the right direction i’d appreciate it. I have no experience with this but i’ve been looking at the cardo spirit HD for the price and convenience. Any advice is helpful thank you!
I have a briggs l0206 serial number b2022 so a 2023 engine should i buy a new one for this season like is there a big difference karting dealer told me the difference would be massive but what do you guys think?
Firstly, sorry for what may be a very basic beginners question. So I tried karting for the first time the other day at an indoor karting tack and I finished in a solid midfield position even considering that I spun every other time I went around one of the hairpins. As I want try karting again and not ruin the fun for everyone with yellow flags my question is what did I do wrong?
I know about the basics of the racing line so I tried to approach the corner from out wide. However, when i braked, I would spin and end up facing the wrong way without even making it around the corner. I’d be looking back down the strait I had just come from. This happened multiple times on multiple hairpins.
As I was being spun back by the marshal, he said I was breaking too hard. I was trying to be short and sharp on the brake. When I tried less forceful braking I would carry too much speed and hit the barrier on the hairpin exit.
So what am I doing wrong? What is the correct technique?
Thanks I’m advance for your suggestions!
hey so I was just looking for a helmet for gokarting because I want to start but I don’t know if I can have just a basic motorcycle helmet
