I’m planning on getting a signature from the McLaren f1 drivers and I’m worried that a sharpie will just rub off What would work on this so that it stays and doesn’t get wiped off when I’m cleaning it or it gets covered in chain lube (Again)
I tried driving the sws kart and I noticed that it’s much different than the normal rental karts, obviously it’s a lot faster but it feels like there’s way less grip especially on turns can someone explain this to me? I’m unsure how to drive it properly as I’m too used to the rental karts
Im 15 and I want to start karting next year
I want to get a 125cc direct drive engine but I am on a really tight budget so I am looking for an engine that can last 20-40 hours or so without spending lots of money on rebuilding and maintaining.
Im 15 and haven’t karted since I was 7 and I actually wanna do it now
I am looking for an app where you can post and compare times on different tracks. (UDisc would be similar to what I'm thinking) Is there even such a thing yet?
I came across RaceFacer but it seems to me to be barely running / badly maintained as it crashes every time I try to search for a track.
Thanks in advance!
I am a ka driver and have been driving for 2-3 months, I am getting a x30 to practice actual driving and just get better overall and when I get I’ll just be practicing before any competition. For now I will be mounting it on my chasis but going into the next year I’ll be getting a second chassis for the x30. I currently have a kosmic and I’m wondering if to get a LN kart or stay with the kosmic for x30 because I’ve seen a lot of people in x30 run LN kart. Also side note is there any recommendations for good high end gloves? Thanks in advance
I'm currently in my first ever league at the nearest rental karting facility. I want to find places where I could do more organized racing (as apart from league nights, everything is just time trial here), and try my hand at endurance races. What are some tips for finding places that do this? (I hope this doesn't fall under "career questions")
My parents asked me to look for Go-Karts, do you guys think I should get used or new, If new can you reccomend me some for a decently low price ( I live in Australia)
P.S: Is this one any good? ------> https://www.segway.com.au/collections/gokart-pro/products/certified-refurbished-gokart-pro-segway-ninebot-lamborghini-edition
So I have recently planned to go karting with some of my friends for the first time and am wondering if there are things I should know before I do?
I've emailed Rolison, Sodi, LN, and Tony kart and haven't gotten anything back. Any tips?
I have goat pee and have already soften tires with the goat pee but i want to mix it with something i just dont know what, Ive herd atf fluid or pink panther. From my understanding goat pee drys a tire out and you gotta mix it to put some oil back in it. My question is what do i mix it with and to what ratio?
Fully loaded battery. Even tried a brand new battery. Nothing happens. I'm guessing it's the starter. Any other theories? Rotax Max
Hello ! I just joined a karting team near where I live and very recently got into it
Before you ask no I d not have any ambitions of F1 but I would love to be able to be a driver for the team one day
But before that I want to know the Karts. I have watched a few videos about them on YouTube (ie : how to break an engine, what’s a carburetor etc…)
I wanted to know if there are any YouTube series that this community recommends when it comes to overall Kart knowledge specifically.
Although I’m new to this I have a bit of background in Robotics so I am somewhat familiar with the technical side of things, but I really could use the advice.
I really don’t want to drive a car that I don’t know, I think it’s a bit arrogant and ignorant so any bit of advice helps !
TLDR : Looking for Karting advice, YouTube videos or any other resources. Not trying to make it to F1. Just a good understanding of karts, to perhaps become a driver
Hi everyone,
I've been running an X30 for the past year, and lately, I've run into an issue with starting. When I turn the key, the starter motor spins, but the Bendix doesn’t engage with the flywheel, so the starter just spins freely. I turn the key off, try again, and the same thing happens. After 3-4 attempts, the Bendix finally engages, and the engine fires up without any problems.
A few details:
Battery is always fully charged before each session, its 2 years old, but it reads 13.8v.
It’s the older version of the X30 (with the flexible exhaust and older wiring).
The engine runs perfectly once it’s started.
I’ve seen this issue on other forums but haven’t found any solutions. Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas on what could be causing it or how to fix it?
I've attached a video showing the issue.
Thanks in advance for any help!
I recently got into karting, tried it for first time,i thought I did good but when I saw the recording I was so slow,so I wanted some tips so I can be better I am 18M and only looking to make it a hobby for fun
Hi guys, I'm new here on Reddit and I hope to be in the right place. I've found on the marketplace this post with the following description (probably there could be errors in the translation): "Kart Zanardi 2017 with complete TM125 junior engine, ready for the track, clutch, pads, spark plug, carburettor needle and fuel pump level checked. No work to do. Price 900 euros complete with trolley and spare belts, pulley, water pump, Alfano instrumentation included."
Sadly it's the only image he published.
I have to say that I've just did some simracing and only raced with rental karts (12/14 races).
I would use it during weekend to do some practice at the local track, but what about racing with it ? What should I buy to have the minimum things/tools to be covered if something breaks ?
I think I'll probably need to change the seat cause I'm 180cm x 90kg and recently I barely fit in a "52 seat" (I think). Also, could changing seat lead to problems about fitting components around it or there should be enough space ?
To be honest I think it's all here. Thank you for your time🙏🏻
Recently got a kart the only thing that needs to be fixed is the front bar how do I get it replaced.
I have noticed a problem in my driving where on one specific track, I'm faster with about 1-1.5 seconds (0.4 sec off pole) when I put on a brand new set of MOJO tires (rotax senior kart), compared to when I'm on tires that are on their last session of life. The problem is, there's another track where I don't have any improvement with new vs dead tires (1 sec off pole), and will be trying to solve that by pushing more when I'm with new tires the next time out. Is it just pushing harder or is there any other advice to help with this that more experienced drivers can give to me as one just starting out?
Hi,
I am looking for advise for my boys cadet. I have noticed black grease / oil coming out of the grommet shown in photo. Is this a sign of a repair or it’s normal?
So I apologise in advance if this isn't the right sub for this types of questions, but what would be the cheapest and easiest way to customise a KJ-8 helmet? I looked into those sticker sets but I believe doing that wouldn't be effective due to the pattern painted on the helmet. But would there be any other CHEAP alternative to customising a helmet?
