My shifter kart does want to get spark and fire up I have replaced the fuel pump, CDI ignition coil, spark plug, cleaned the carb and still not able to start does anyone know how to fix this? Plz
I am going to buy a helmet that i will be using for karting, i am 15 years old so I can't use any CMR helmets, the helmets that I am considering right now are the Bell RS7-K, the Arai SK-6 and the Damp RZ-70E Switch. The helmets are all similar price but the Bell is a little more expensive sadly only the Zamp has decoration.
If you have any other suggestions I would gladly take them!
I am wondering about the certifications because from what I see they make new ones every five years and that makes me want to wait for the new ones if that becomes the new minimum.
If you have any other questions feel free to ask!
Thanks.
So i see the “master cylinder” where I would assume brake fluid goes. Anyone know which DOT they take?
Then a line back to caliper, which has bleeder valves. Left and right. I assume bleed it doesnt matter which to bleed first, no idea. Haha.
I got it from there. Just a few clarifying questions.
I have a RIGHETTI RIDOLFI Gokart and I fully flushed and bled my brake system but for some reason the pads wont fully contact the rotor, iv triple checked that theres zero air in the lines. any suggestions, maybe a faulty master cylinder? nothing leaks thats leftover fluid Youtube link to show what the pads are doing when hitting the pedal
Someone please tell me how🙏🙏
When I try to start the kart the little spout at the bottom of the carb leaks gas on every pull of the starter rope.
Not just a small drip. A teaspoon full per pull
Which is obviously not safe.
Is that due to the float being stuck?
Any ideas?
TIA for any advice
I’m 14, and if it is gods will for my life want to start karting and make it to f1 or wec.I know what a lot of people say that karting late makes it very very difficult to make it to f1.But I would love to hear it to me.And also if not f1 I would love to race in wec if it is gods plan for my life.Do you think either of these are possible???
I would like to record my sessions, and I have heard a lot (of good things) about chin straps. So I guess I’m just going to use that. Idk if maybe a mount on top of my helmet is better or even on my kart. So to be sure I’m just asking it here. Thank you (in advance).
I'm going to be there with some friends in a few weeks and interested in the track layout. I know it's two levels.
Hello, I would like to record my sessions so that I can compare my laps. Currently I am looking at Insta360 ONE RS combined with chest strap. Is there anyone running this setup? Is it any good? Are there any other perhaps better options? I would like to avoid helmet mount as it's not allowed at many tracks from what I have seen so far. And the only other options I know about are chest straps and then suction cups. But only position for suction cup I can think of is on the front cover where I would not really see my steering inputs or to the side.
Hey racers, how does one clean this gunk? Thank you in advance.
I have my first race coming up this sunday and it includes practice qualifying and the race, what should i expect going into this I have an extra fuel pump, chain, sprocket, and spark plugs. I know I’m definitely finishing on the podium but its my first actual karting race besides indoor and I’m just kinda nervous
Hi, my friends and I go indoor karting every now and then. Yesterday was the first time I brought my GoPro with me to film. So now I was wondering if someone more experienced could look at this footage and give me some tips? I’ll send you a dm if you’re interested
Hi everyone,
Can anyone tell me what are the advantages or disatvantages of seat as the greyhound 2020 with a shape similar to jecko, and if they are a good option for a birel DD2.
Hello, me and my friend have already planned a couple endurance races were gonna do. We had one already, and found the whole sign strat to not be so good, because im blind and our local isnt very good for showing signs. Anyone know any cheaper alternatives to Radio kits?
Hey guys,
Just getting back into karting after a brief time having a Margay offset kart as a kid.
East coaster here, plan on running the LO206 class at Trackhouse.
I was kind of blown away by how few classes their are. I figured their would be a Briggs super or something, somewhat as a stepping stone from 206 to KA100.
Maybe it's different on the west coast. Curious to hear if that's just how it is, or by region.
Thanks guys
Hey guys, got a question what tracks/leagues are out in Arizona? As my last post, I did acquire that LO206! Can’t wait to hit the track. Hope some of you guys and gals local.
CA has 3: Adams (I been here but on a supermoto), Apex, Winchester (new)
NV has 1: Spring Mountain (new)
Hi all! So i need to add about 40 pounds to my go kart and I don't feel like its worth shelling out almost $300 for a bunch of karting/scuba weights. Besides eating, anyone have suggestions for weight alternatives? I'm seriously considering getting a bunch of lead plates and mounting them to the floor pan of my kart.
Hobie catamaran trailer that I just replaced the axles on and will sit there until next summer, do you guys think I could make it work for a junior kart? Son is just getting into Karting and I am DEAD from all the expenses so hate to add a trailer to the cost and make my wife even more angry with another trailer hanging around 🤑
Thinking and plywood platform that could double as a ramp and some rachet straps? Any advice is greatly appreciated!
Context: I have driven rentals for about two years. I want to jump into owner-karting, but I don't know where to start. I'm looking for a kart that doesn't require me to replace my engine every season, as engines are really expensive. I am 13 years old.
Don't get me wrong, the track is nice, the karts are fun but the whole arrive and drive thing is crazy expensive. I'm not entirely sure if we were even obligated to do so, but we were told we needed to purchase a $50 membership on top of the $105 dollars we had already spent for track time. Although that was the least of my problems that was my first "red flag". The one that got me was when we asked about the karts speed they told us that the Bronze License which was the first tier everyone limits your top speed by about 30mph, which I get, you can't have newcomers or people with little to no experience going full speed on these things. To be able to run these Karts at full speed you need to meet a minimum of races as a Bronze driver, then as a silver, gold and so on. Each license will unlock a bit more speed until you reach the pro license (final license) the problem is that each license will cost you more money each time, going up to 7x the price you paid for bronze. I know this is an expensive sport, but it really does feel like I'm being cheated for my money. Me and my friend had raced at Cal-speed (rip) for years and just found out that if we would've shown proof of that we could've gotten a silver license from the get-go. The system feels like a P2W with how they're gatekeeping the speed. I wouldn't have a problem if they did purely for safety measures, it's the fact that I need to pay another membership to "unlock" more speed. I will be returning but, just wanted to leave this review for anyone who might find it helpful because even if you are just doing the arrive and drive sessions, it will get expensive quickly.
TLDR; License system P2W, with each license tier giving a bit more speed.
I’ve got only two test days left of the year. Maybe a total of 2 hours of running. My Rotax senior has 26 hours on it since new so 26 on the piston. Am i risking blowing it up or seizing it? How long have you guys gone?
