i have this engine and i know its a vertical engine and most go karts have horizontal engine i rather use this engine
I have stripped an old go kart frame, I'm would like to put an QS180 in it but unfortunately its out of the budget. I was looking at the kunray KR5V but I'm now leaning towards the QS138 90H motor kit with fardriver from AliExpress. I have a 60v battery that i will be using for anywhere from 6-18 months until i get some more money. I will need to buy a new pedal and reverse switch as the kit I'm looking at does not include one. I'm looking for a kit with everything in it with a far driver controller but cannot find anything with pedal. If anyone has a reliable source or a better kit any help will be appreciated.
I will post the kit link in comments as reddit likes to remove my posts.
I'm looking for a single seater dingo in South Louisiana area, any other places to look besides marketplace or do I just have to luck out if one pops up on MP?
Its a project for a coworker, replaced the bad carburetor, only to hook it up to the battery and have no power off anything.
He bought it second hand and i am guessing the previous owner did some redneck special to it. We are just wanting it to start and go the lights and the like are not that important at the moment. But, i am having a huge headache with it, because the patch wires don't match the wiring harness, there is patches in the harness, and i was wondering if yall could help me with a diagram or if its even worth rebuilding the harness, i would assume so because i can get the connections and a cable loom far faster than ordering something off the internet. But, most of the connections are corroded, burnt out, or dry rotten.
Now when i say patches i mean wires are just twisted to each other and taped off and look a little toasty. Time isnt exactly an issue. If we go the route of rebuilding the harness what gauge of wires will i need and the connection ends, i tried posting photos of what i am working with but reddit said the file size was too big, if you would like to see what i am working with i can share a link to a shared folder when it gets done uploading. Thanks in advance for any help yall could provide me with.
New to go karts so don’t flame me, but as the title says, would it be a bad idea to use the chassis of the ninebot to build a Drift GoKart with a Surron battery & motor? I like the look of the ninebots but don’t know if they’d hold up with the mods and if it’s advised to just go with a regular roller. I would change the wheels if I did it, but otherwise is it a good idea or ill advised? Thanks in advance!
Fnr gear box on 186f Chinese diesel Has anyone had luck with the 30 series fnr gearbox on the 9/10hp Chinese diesels? Im Working on an offroad mobility device, I was going to use a gy6 atv engine with fnr built in. But I think the diesel might be a better choice for reliability and efficiency. Ethanol can't gum up you're carburetor if you don't have a carburetor. And the lack of electronics to fail is a plus.
It's going to be geared low, like 15-18mph top speed low. Basically a tall, slow, glorified go kart for a paraplegic, and able to pull a small trailer with a goose neck style hitch to allow Jack knife for easy access to the trailer for the user.
I live in a rural area, as far as rules on mobility device in pennsylvania, all I can find is it needs to be under 58 inches(not sure if this is a cube?), and no more than 1200#. It doesn't say anything about a trailer, ive never been hassled in my wheelchair towing a little home made trailer, the main difference will be top speed, capability, and the source of power. I didn't read anything dictating how a powered mobility device gets its power. I'm also not sure if the foot plate/leg rests is included in the measurements, it will be made to fold for transporting and storage purposes. The plan is to be 35 inches wide and about a 48 inch wheelbase, so in an emergency if you needed to go inside it would be possible, tight but possible. I also can't decide on front steering or rear steering. I'm kind of thinking rear for maneuvering in tight places, same concept as a forkift in a warehouse. My suspension will be my tire pressure, although I may make the steer tires a springer design to help with some of the bumps.
I'm going for something that represents the kids wheelchair in the movie meatballs 2. But more off road oriented for softer terrain. And obviously much much slower.
If I bought a go cart with a Predator 212cc engine and the owner said there’s 1040 oil in it but I want to put 1030 oil in it. Do I need to do anything special to replace it since it’s different oil?
Question “Is there a charger available in Australia that can charge the standard, stock Crazy Cart faster? Preferably, one not from Taxi Garage or American-only sites. Also, what battery options should I consider in Australia?”
