I love this figures, they look so well together.(hopefully they announce one for IIno in the near future)
Good god these things are expensive.
I recently completed the anime, and I started reading the manga. I read 20 chapters in 3 hours. Am I too slow, or is this normal? How long will it take to complete the manga?
For me it was the entire osaragi and Miko arc done ruined osaragis character and reputation among the fan base and did nothing to progress ishimiko( from what I remember)
I recently started watching the series and I loved everything about it but the movie kinda confused me and so I didn't really like it but I want to understand what I'm missing and of course everyone has a subjective view, I just think I didn't get the message it was trying to portray.
After their kiss they still don't know where they really at - I get that since they didn't speak out what is obvious for both of them. Little Kaguya was cute and funny that part was great since her embarassment over the "grown-up kiss".
Then Kaguyas upbringing was rough and she had a mask "ice Kaguya" to protect herself but especially others from the pain she thinks she causes. And she wants to know if Shirogane loves her as a whole or the "mask" of nice Kaguya (which I think is her real personality) or/and is he able to love her ice Kaguya side.
I understand that (I guess but if someone has a deep analysis I'd love to read it) but when she lets ice Kaguya take the lead is when I get confused. Was she supressing that behavior for the sake of love?
When she got introduced I think it was for someone being accepted by her he has to offer her several countries to have a chance and she often calls people she doesn't has a bond with insects I thought of it as comedy but were they real feelings and thoughts of her?
Suddenly she says she'd kiss anyone if the mood is right and acts mean towards Shirogane but why? I thought ice Kaguya loves him too.
Also Shirogane, I know he's feeling like he won't be good enough if he doesn't always give 101% and he fears rejection (which somehow all came true since she exactly acted the way he was always thinking) and the take on it with Kaguya just wanting an ordinary relationship and that every kiss they share will be like the first kiss etc I get that and it was a nice conclusion but overall everything just felt strange to me.
So if you loved the movie or did understand it could you explain me how you experienced it and what I don't understand?
I Dont know why i did this but i liked a lot the result lol
Basically I remember having watched it, at least a little bit, and I don't remember much, beside that I liked it. So I came back to it eventually and decided to rewatch it.
For some context, this episode takes place after the visit Shirogane paid to Shinomiya, and she dragged him in her bed.
It's not much, but I liked how the episode was.
The characters aren't honest, they lack confidence and that leads them to be very prideful (and to overthink a lot, which is why the narrator may be the greatest thing the anime did to adapt it, as it settles the absurd but serious atmosphere). After that, they are mad for curious reasons.
Both of them seems to agree that it's not the fact they were in this situation that is problematic. The problem is something else. And I want to talk about Kaguya's pov.
She wants to be desired by Miyuki, and wanted him there, deep inside, which is why she did what she did, even if, when she realized it, she was not mentally ready for such closeness. Her defense mechanism kicked in very hard.
But she is still very frustrated, believing that, in order to be able to catch the president's heart, she has to be appealing (which may be why Fujiwara makes her angry at times. It's not just "flat joke", it's her confidence that is hurt).
And so, the fact he says that he didn't take advantage of the situation says for her that she was not irresistible enough to listen to his instincts.
Which, tbh, is fine, I mean, taking advantage of someone in such a state without clear consent is not good, but we talk about feelings and not ethics.
And consequently, when Shirogane admitted he touched her (accepting to not be perfect, which is important), she was surprised . She needs to know what part of her was this appealing. And when he talked about her lips, I think she got the biggest confidence boost ever.
She doesn't need to have large assets like Chika, what the president was attracted first about her body was her lips.
I like this as this can look pretty weird but the lines are both subtle enough for someone that doesn't pay attention to miss, but for someone who, at least, has the maturity to watch it, to catch the subtext. It's not a matter of ethic, these two episodes are about their feelings and listening to them.
Which is also the theme of the show imo, but I really liked it. I suppose Kaguya will have a lot of things to grow through still to overcome her lack of confidence, but it's intriguing.
Also I am actually intrigued about the difference of treatment between Shirogane and Shinomiya. I don't say one is bad and one is good, I think they both are good, but I'd love to talk about it with people that are more informed on subjects such as Feminism to instruct me or help me know if how they are treated is purely sexist or not.
I still love how they were treated, but I can't really put words on that.
Also I love how Yu is treated and Fujiwara is best girl
i’ve just finished the manga and i see the aka akasaka note about new content coming soon, but this is a message of 2022, do you know about other things he made about kaguya-sama after that?
I’ve watched a bit of it and want to read the manga now but when I started researching it I found out about all this other stuff and now I’m really confused Especially with the kaguya fan girls manga should I read it after I finish the main series or read it simultaneously?
art by me :D still not very confident with this one but I had to stop messing with it at some point
art by me :D
Let me make this completely clear, I like Fujiwara and think she’s hilarious, but I have one issue with her character Her solo chapters, I always find myself reading them quickly just being bored as there’s not must variety and it just follows the pattern of someone watching her eat food normally while over analysing her, I think it’s just because I only find her funny if she’s interacting with the established cast, and she either isn’t on her own, or just isn’t given any interesting situations to be in
There character, personality, appearance, behaviour, relationship etc
