Searching for a drama soundtrack

I love the ost for Saikou no Rikon and I used to have it but I lost the files and now only way I can listen to it is via youtube since I cant even order it (cdjapan only ships it within japan) i feel like maybe avistaz had it before they deleted all the music from the site and I only realized that too late. so if anyone has it and can share it with me, i’d be so grateful to you 🙏🏽

How to use jptv website correctly?

I was invited to this website last year and I downloaded only one episode of from it. When I checked the website later it seem that I have got a "Hit and Run warning". I guess I was supposed to seed the video that I have downloaded? Sorry I know this sound stupid but I have never done seeing before and I am not sure if this is actually what I am supposed to do and how to do it.

I was hoping someone can guide me, I want to make sure to not get banned.

Jdorama Recomendation!

I just recently watched I''s and It's been a long time since I read the I''s manga.

yesterday someone told me there's a tv series and miss kyoka shibata is in it, better yet, she is the best girl (the childhood friend whom I adore) so I was really hoping that maybe they would end up together this time since she was quite a popular character but that is not the case so I'm pobably just going to rewatch miss kyoka scenes and be done with it.

Could someone recomend japanese doramas where the chilhood friend gets the guy or girl, please?

Looking for recommendations for my dad

Okay so, my dad is a 60 and something white Brazilian guy who's getting disappointed with the TV series he watches, since they're either cancelled or end up in some sort of cliffhanger for a next season that never ends up happening. He likes short series that go straight to the point and don't leave any loose ends.

I think Asian media has lots to offer, but I don't know many shows to recommend him. We watched the live action movie of Boku dake ga inai machi and he sort of enjoyed the time travel aspects of it, but did not like the whole "who's the killer?" mystery. Do you guys have any recommendations I could point out to him and maybe get him into doramas? It can be movies too.

I know he watched a French production about wine that was based on a manga and enjoyed it too. He likes sci-fi, action, time travel, horror (although he says he doesn't like modern horror films that much) and supernatural stories. Historical settings might interest him as well, we watched lots of Kurosawa movies together. He's not that much into romance, so if it's like the main point of the plot, he'll not be that interested.

Streaming is complicated because of the differences between licencing in each country, so just drop the name and I'll look it up, no need do indicate where to watch it.

Who's your favorite Jdrama OST composer?

I have this habit of looking up Jdramas based on their music composers. Easily comes to mind is Masaru Yokoyama from his works in Chihayafuru and Saiai for example. Hiroyuki sawano also composed great soundtracks for Crisis. Not to mention, Yae no Sakura with Ryuichi Sakamoto.

Who's your favorite Jdrama OST composer and why?

Is it true that GEM TV ASIA will follow the same fate as WakuWaku Japan?

Recently, there has been rumors that GEM TV ASIA will soon close down.

Last month in the Philippines, their contract with a certain cable tv provider has ended. They didn't renew their contract even if it's the number one cable tv provider in the Philippines.

Additionally, the drastic drought of new shows in the channel is very noticeable, like this month, the only new show is the special episode of GTO REVIVAL, nothing else new aside from the anime late timeslot.

Also, I checked the June schedule, and also nothing new. Can anyone be able to explain what's happening with them? Also, let's make it clear to them that these rumors are spreading so that they will manage to improve their lineup if the rumors are not true.

Trying to find a show. Don’t know the name.

Hello everyone! I was scrolling on IG and saw a post about a Japanese show/movie and wanted to know what it is called. It was in an elevator where a guys saw his crush who was also in the elevator and he was it thinking (in Japanese) that she might think that he is a stalker. Little did he know that she was thinking (in mandarine Chinese) that it must be fate cause she liked him too.

I think the name of the show starts with the letter ‘M’ but that is all I remember.

TIA

I am trying to find a popular comedy Jdrama from the 90s.

It was about a widower father who had five grown up daughters.

Has anyone ever had that "pointing-at-screen" moment when they see a familiar filming location?

(Except for notable tourist landmarks, obviously)

Extremely Inappropriate! (2024), episode 7

I recently watched Extremely Inappropriate! Episode 7, and I noticed the opening shot's loc looked familiar.

Unnatural (2018), episode 6

I knew it!

Takeda Kouhei in Koi to Yujo no Aida de / between Love and Friendship

Currently bingeing on Takeda Kouhei after meeting him in Old Fashion Cupcake. Was surprised to learn on MDL that he is often cast as a villain type figure or as one reviewer said, "playboy douchebag" 🤣🤣 More recommendations.of his works, please? 🙏

[SPOILER] overplayed plot device (memory loss)

i watch a lot of dramas, it's how i learned japanese. but lately i'm getting annoyed with the writing.

there are at least 4 dramas that i've watched recently that use "memory loss" as a plot device. it's to the point where as soon as i hear 記憶...i have to pause the show, and walk away, and come back when i'm ready...

9 border, 366 days, kururi, ...all shows this season, all have a character with memory loss.

last year it was tatoe anata wo wasuretemo...it feels like last season tho. to be fair tho, the title gives fair warning.
