I see clips from this one segment where one of the girls is attempting to speak English to the "Immigration Officer" played by Crazy Coco. Here's a shot of the clip. Can anyone tell me what episode or if that's the right show?
I can't imagine anyone getting this. Please prove me wrong.
The famous five tones from the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind were once used in a Japanese show back in the eighties. Maybe early eighties.
That's it. That's all I have to go on. Don't even remember what kind of show it was.
If you get this I'll do a perfect recreation of Sean Connery's character in the Last Crusade when Indy tells him the name of the city is Alexandretta.
What's the show I for the life of me can't remember?
I have been seeing a lot of videos and clips of japanese game shows lately, more than usual, so I have finally decided to start watching them. So the question is which to start with and where to watch.
I just saw a clip of 3 football players vs 100 kids and thought it was really funny so maybe something like that would be good to start with? As for watching them where do you guys go? Are there any websites or whatnot to watch this type of shows?
PS: feel free to recommend shows from the clips i watched i enjoyed the football one and the one with the house at an angle, don't know the name sorry
I saw a clip of this on insta and now can’t find it. A show where several bald men get strange items (including a live rat or rabbit or something) placed on their head and have to guess what it is.
Hello!
I can't remember if it was a segment of a variety show or it's own thing.
It's a show about two hosts that travel by train with X amount of cash and need to make it to the end of the route with money. If they make it, a predetermined viewer wins a prize.
The game consists of the chosen route having stops with challenges/tasks that can be completed for money which they use to be about to eat and sleep. The more rural the stop, the more the challenge is worth.
I remember one was they had to visit a temple in this very small village but the keeper of the temple was away but a different neighbor had the key to watch over it for them. They managed to get in and complete the mission.
Usually at some point in the leg, they are joined by a third guest for a short time. Usually a popular artist or celebrity to help them complete missions.
I don't think it's Japan Hour, unless the premise of the show changed lol
Thank you for the help in advance!!!
I’m currently watching unbeatable banzuke and Kasso, and I just remembered that g4 had banzuke, sasuke, and I think something else. Are the any other shows (they can be gameshows(preferred) or just contest shows like Kasso? I can really only remember banzuke and ninja warrior. I’m fine with trying out new/old shows and I’m fine with them being both on YouTube and cable. I just want them to have appeared on American tv at some point.
Crunchyroll recently removed it from their streaming service and that's been the only place i've been able to watch it for years. I live in the U.S and my Japanese isn't great so subtitles are appreciated. I love this show SO MUCH, please help!!!
Here's the description from Amazon:
"It’s time for Prime Video’s new comedy competition. Sixteen comedians form eight new comedy duos to take on dynamic stage sets and tackle unconquerable prompts! Through eight stages, the 200 audience members will vote for “the least funny duo.” Who will be chosen as the funniest duo and be crowned the best “Golden Duo” to win a cash prize of ten million yen in this grueling survival comedy show?!"
There are five episodes each 30-50 minutes long and, at least in my region, the show has English subtitles.
I don't think this was marketed in English or anywhere internationally whatsoever - when I search for it online I find basically nothing but a result from Prime Video Japan which is a real shame. The show has a release date of 31st October but hasn't shown up in the new shows on Prime sections which I check very regularly. I just saw this show at the top of the front page under the recommended for you section. A lot of the production staff and the audience are wearing face masks so I do wonder when this was made, it seems like there's been a decent lag between filming and release.
Chidori previously had a series of Aiseki Shokudo special episodes released internationally on Prime Video, and this is - I believe - the second series by them that's had international distribution so it would be really awesome to see whether more comes from this partnership. The producer is down as Amazon Studios so perhaps they might have a relationship with Chidori now. EDIT: Also Runa Hayashi from Nogizaka46 is one of the co-hosts
The cast includes a bunch of people that've been in Wednesday Downtown and other popular variety shows. I've yet to watch any of the show, but it looks fun hopefully.
Here's a link to the series (no idea if this will pass you through to your region's prime video) - https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/video/detail/B0D4J9F9S4/ref=atv_hm_hom_c_N6EUGF_2_2?jic=44%7CCgtmcmVld2l0aGFkcxIMc3Vic2NyaXB0aW9uEgRzdm9k
So i need everyones help, back in the day i used to watch this asian game show with english subtitles but the problem is , these days, i can not remember the name of that show if i recal correctly it was a gameshow with 4 teams they had to do all funny stuff i started to watch when i was in Singapore in 2011 i wish i would have saved it somewhere but i hope u guys can help me, i THINK that it's not kakashi castle just to eliminate that one already
Sorry, don't know the original Japanese name of the show, but I believe the segment was called "Niko-niko Punsuka Hamuemon".
Rather than try to describe it (it's very odd) I'll just link to this description: Smile Big Smack Hamster Japanese Game Show Skit.
Is this lost media? Or does it exist somewhere somehow?
Looking for this Japanese singing game show (or the singer in this episode), the song was shabondama (シャボン玉) by morning musume and the style of the show was similar to the current oni renchan (there's the meter at the bottom showing how accurate the singing is). It's quite an old game show as well I think. If I'm not wrong the singer in this episode went on to win.
appreciate any help, the old videos of this got taken down on youtube I think.
EDIT: found, show is THEカラオケ★バトル and the singer is suzuki anna.
