This is a place to request and collaborate on the subtitling of Jordan B. Peterson's YouTube Videos. Subtitling and translating his videos will allow more people from around the world and those with hearing impairment to enjoy JBPs content.

Rules:

  • This is NOT the place to discuss the views and ideas of JBPs videos, for this go to /r/JordanPeterson

  • When requests are made, a moderator will respond with a comment that contains a crowdscriber.com link for the language requested. The site enables multiple people to collaborate on subtitling videos

  • Label all requests for videos/languages with [REQUEST][language] for instance:

[REQUEST][English] Biblical Series I ...

  • For requests, include a link to the YouTube video that is to be transcribed

  • PLEASE ensure the language you are requesting isn't already offered on the YouTube video (i.e. click the "gear" icon for the video, check if the language is already there)

  • When requesting clarification, use the #t=XhYmZs anchor appended to the YouTube url to denote the time in the video that you have a question about, e.g. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-wWBGo6a2w#t=1h30m29s

How to contribute subtitles/translations

Here are the steps for contributing subtitles/translations to this subreddit:

  • Find a post labeled [Request][language] in this subreddit
  • Look in the comments section of that post for the Crowdscriber link
  • Click on the link to claim a "chunk" of the video (i.e. a 2 minute segment)
  • Complete the transcription/translation and submit the chunk
  • When asked, choose to complete another chunk right away. If you don't have time to, you can always follow the original link again to claim another chunk.
