What Remains of The Schoolhouse On The Abondoned Island of Inishark

A couple of summers ago, I visited Inishbofin and did a day trip to the neighboring island of Inishark, which was abandoned in 1960, due to a dwindling population, roughs seas cutting off the ability to get provisions for months at a time, and most of all, the Irish government's refusal to build a proper pier for the island.

Kilkenny was not the shopping paradise bloggers made it out to be, but it was definitely beautiful!

    Leenane this past Saturday.

I was mad late on my journey but I had to stop to take this. Magic. Drive down that way a lot and while the journey from my home to where I'm going is long, I always love the views along the way. Beautiful.
