So after a long time I was able to finally snag a b580 for a little above msrp but that's not important, what's important is that, I want to know everything I have to do before installing it so that it goes as smoothly as possible, I currently have an rx 580 so yeah I'd want it to be a worthwhile upgrade.
Anyways I know the basics like have rebar on and that I have to remove my previous gpus drivers using DDU, and I've heard that I have to reinstall some games but it would he better if I do it for all.
If there's any other like small but impactful things I missed please tell and please explain why I have to run DDU on safe mode and stuff. Thanks for the help
This is my first time having and building a pc! Wish me luck! My cat (Zorro) has decided he is going to help me.
If anyone knows... its the only thing I'm waiting on for getting my first build... :3
Newegg is out of stock on the ONIX Lumi and Odyssey cards. They still have Odyssey B570s in stock.
Hopefully everyone here got one that wanted one.
As an owner of a b580 I can say I think it’s a good product that offers a great value. Just kind of wondering if Intel will continue the current trajectory and give Nvidia and amd a run for their money? Pic is of my sparkle b580 right before I installed it. It’s running great!
After doign a fresh install on my new B580 my PC keeps freezing up and nothing other then a hard reboot seems so fix it. I can use my pc for about 2-10 minutes and so far it's been able to idle "ish" for around 30/45 minutes at most before it just stops without any warnigns.
I have gotten a blue screen twice but only cought the error messages once (Stop code: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE what failed: igdkmdnd64.sys), it has also reeboted by it self once or twice rather than freezing up. I've tried waiting it out32 and just recently it has been frozen for 30+ minutes witout anything happening, screen still displaying a frozen frame.
I have re-installed intel drivers but don't seem to help... Drivers are up to date as of 25-03/02 with ver. 32.0.101.6262
Has anyone else had this issue or have any recomendations for possible fixes that i can try?
With kind regards, new confused redditor

I just happened to step into my local PC part store (memory express) for new hardware (mobo, CPU etc) and I just happened to see the iconic purple box and asked if it was for sale, the person first said no, then while he was ringing me up, he said hang on let me double check, and sure enough he came back with it in his hands.and said it was ordered the person didn't come get it( they hold it for a few days) so it was up for grabs.
How’s it going everyone, I have the phantom gaming a770 with a i9-12900k 32gb ddr5. I keep having issues with the computer completely freezing (have to hard reset computer) while using Lightroom, has anyone else run in to this? Any potential fixes or things I should look into upgrading?
I sniped this bad boy used from B&H after asking you guys how you got your hands on one. Thank you so much for this community, otherwise I'm not sure when/if I'd ever get one.
I am considering to buy a750 is it still good for 300AUD what is it performance in 2025 I am pairing it with xeon E5 2607 V3 undervolt to 3.5 GHz with rebar on, is this GPU is still good I will really helpful if somebody provide me latest 2025 benchmark
Got my Arc B580 Steel Legend and checked multiple places seems there is no way to use XeSS upscaling in Metro Exodus Enhanced edition. Has anyone tried any mod?
The mod of replacing LibXeSS.dll file does not apply for this game as it does not support XeSS out of the box.
I have used AMD and NVidia GPUs and I like AMD due to driver's level enabling of FSR and FrameGen which opens new door for playing all my favourite old games on 4K TV with added benefits of upscaling and framegen without relying on the game to implement it although not perfect but still better to have an option when needed.
I think Intel Arc drivers should start providing same driver's level XeSS and FrameGen, or is it already there that I do not know of?
Also I tried Intel Image Sharpening setting but it doesnt help much.
I know the b580 would be the better choice but it's £100 more and considering I've only got a 100hz 1080 monitor I'm thinking I might just get the 750 for £174
Took me a bit but I finally got around to making it. The 5500 and B580 in Performance Mode, DX12 Low, and DX12 Epic. Would've tested more but I was too busy.
Even at Epic it ran good enough for me. I'm not super competitive (as you can probably tell by the gameplay), so super high frames aren't as important to me.
Before anyone mentions it, yes you will get better results with a better CPU. You'll also get different results depending on the mode. OG is easier to run than normal BR. And you'll get better FPS the more you run the game. Which leads me to...
My testing method was to run one game without recording, then recording the second. Not the most ideal method, but it's what I could do.
Finally, my opinion. If you aren't competitive and want very good graphics, go with Epic. No ray tracing though. If you want similar graphics with slightly more FPS, go high. I'm probably gonna run a mix of ultra and high
I simply want to make it so that its stretched but every time i change the scaling settings the entire program just freezes, anyone else having this issue?
I have the latest drivers, I've used DDU to uninstall and reinstall them, nothing I've tried seems to work
As the title states looking what the best cpu combo to pair with a b580 gpu Thanks
I have a B580 arriving this week for an AMD 5700X3D PC I slapped together over Christmas.
I installed Windows for testing purposes and I'm using an old Nvidia quadro card for basic display. Windows did download and install the Nvidia control panel and drivers.
Would the best practice be to install Windows with the B580, or am I ok making sure the control panel app is un-installed and swapping cards?
Hi, im gonna get myself a intal arc A580 from ascrock and a intel i5 12400f, what Psu would i need for this combo? Does anyone have also a couple good budget Psu's to recommend?
Wow, I was shocked that ONIX LUMI Arc B580 is in stock as of 5:35 MST. Does anybody have this particular model and if so, how do you like it?
I've been surprisingly lucky these past 2 days with this GPU being in stock and also scoring a 13600kf for $110 on Amazon through a marketplace. It was legit too and with free 2 day shipping. I was freaked out that something would be wrong, but nope. Then found a z690 MSI board for $95.
Does anybody use a 13600kf with a B580? Is the performance good compared to the many AMD builds out there and how do you like it overall for 1440p gaming in particular? I'm excited to see if this GPU is good for the price.
So last month the B580 dropped and I was really excited for the amazing price to performance ratio but I forgot VAT and import costs will make it more expensive and price drops aren't happening right now.
So I am looking at the best bang for buck for a new mid-tier system. Currently I'm using an AMD RX 480 that is driving me insane with its sound level.
A 580 is 200€
B 580 is 330€
A 770 is 350€
In comparison, in the performance-tier of the B580 a Nvdia 4060 is 300€ (but I hate Nvidia) and an AMD 7600 is 270€ here
What would you go for? Or is there any upgrade or development close that's worth waiting for?
