Non-consensual non-therapeutic circumcision is not ethical. The foreskin is not pathological, a deformity or a defect. It is a normal part of the human penis, and research has confirmed it is normally an important part of penile sensitivity. Individuals have a right to make their own decisions about genital modifications like nontherapeutic circumcision.
The foreskin is not worthless or disposable. It is sensitive and functional.
As the most sensitive part of the penis, the foreskin provides a large part of penile sensitivity (Sorrells, 2007; Bronselaer, 2013; Meislahn & Taylor, 2004). The foreskin is not insensitive keratin like fingernails or hair like people in cutting cultures assume.
Infant circumcision videos demonstrate infant genital surgery is destructive and extremely painful.
The history of medicalized male and female circumcision makes a strong case against genital cutting.

I just thought of a missed opportunity that I was going to start doing, i use t-tapes and get the supplies off Amazon. So why not casually mention in the reviews that these are great tools for foreskin restoration
Example: “These scissors work great in cutting medical tape for making t-tapes that i use for non surgical foreskin restoration to repair the damage from circumcision”
“These underwear are comfortable even when wearing my non surgical foreskin restoration medical device”
“This storage box is just the right size to store my non surgical foreskin restoration medical supplies”. And could possibly include a picture
Doesn’t have to explain everything, and shouldn’t so it doesn’t get removed, just enough to expose people to the idea
Just a thought to get the word out
Circumcising a woman in the Western world is a condemnable offense and in most cases a felony.
The vast majority of female circumcisions where it is practiced is not the kind you'll hear about on Reddit that can't even really be argued as being a circumcision
The kind that is most commonly practiced is less invasive and takes less skin away than male circumcision
If there is nothing wrong with the man's penis there is no reason why medical professionals rush men into getting rather than trying to avoid unnecessary surgeries like they may do for other parts of the body.
Women get questioned to no end if they want their tubes tied and "mythical men" that will appear in her future some how get a say.
While vasectomies may be reversible that's not always the case and so you might as well treat it as permanent
Some women simply don't want to use BC but also don't want pregnancy scares and not all men are trustworthy, but tubal ligation is not a readily available option for women like it is for men
Men's bodies should be protected equally under the law in the same way that women's bodies are and current RIC violates the equal protection clause in the USA and should be made federally illegal the same way female circumcision is
I've thought about trying to advance the cause where I live, but there aren't really any major intactivist organizations in Canada compared to the US. I can't really do a one-person protest, and just talking about it online doesn't seem to do much to convince the willfully ignorant. I've had the idea of maybe leaving around pamphlets, info cards, signs, stickers, etc. In public spaces that would grab attention and direct people to intactivist websites for further information.
The problem is:
Does anyone else have thoughts on this? Are there people out there doing this already, and if not is there a good reason for that?
Is anyone aware of high quality inactivity apparel? I don’t want anything too controversial, but just stuff that brings awareness to the issue.
I think having conversations about this issue is an important way to change minds.
I’m thinking of different ways circumcisions can be deterred in our society and the thought of suing doctors for personal injury (having foreskin cut off) comes to mind. I am not talking about “botched” circumcisions, I am referring to a case where a “successful” circumcision is the reason for suing.
Does anyone know if this has been attempted before?
She wants to have a medical discussion and say that it’s safer and cleaner. And she wants me to present medical data in favor of my argument. Any ideas?
Context: I’m cut. I landed in the NICU with a staph infection as a result of my circumcision. I’m strongly for body autonomy as long as it’s not effecting others.
I know I'm on the right side of history. Keep fighting!
Heads up! Intact America, Galdef and other organizations are matching all donations today; others last all month. If you work for a large company they may offer to match your donation as well. My company matches 200% of any donations made this week so if I donate $10 them Intact America gets $50.
I want to start watching Smiling Friends but I want to know if it’s safe for me to watch.
I had fun speaking with a cutter this morning. Small podcast, but maybe it'll get some views. I don't think I changed his view much.
"Don't cut my nerves!!"
Whenever I unexpectedly encounter mention of circumcision or foreskins in popular media, I usually post about it here--such as the sci-fi novel Hyperion, the sitcom Tacoma FD, the mini-series The North Water, the TV drama Yellowstone, the movie Ticket to Paradise, or the sitcom Fresh Off the Boat.
I was watching the Australian TV show, Colin From Accounts--a romantic comedy on Binge and Paramount+ about a craft brewer, Gordon, and his relationship with a sixth-year medical student, Ashley--and came across one episode in which there were several scenes in Season 2, Episode 4 ("Ethical Porn") mentioning foreskins and circumcision.
First, the medical student Ashley has been tasked with inserting a catheter into an elderly man, but, while doing it, she is distracted, talking with her friend, another medical student also in the room, about an issue with her relationship with Gordon. The scene shows the man in the hospital bed, his lower half exposed, with Ashley's hand moving up and down his penis in a masturbatory motion. At that exact moment, the man's wife comes into the room:
Ashley: "You okay there Mr. Robson?"
Husband: "Marvelous."
Ashley: [to her fellow medical student as she struggles with the man's penis] "I'm just not sure..." [and is interrupted as the man's wife comes into the room unexpectedly]
Wife: "What are you doing!?"
Ashley: "Oh, hello. I'm inserting a catheter."
Wife: "No, but what are you doing there?"
Ashley: "I'm just pulling back your husband's foreskin to insert the catheter."
Wife: "He's circumcised."
Ashley: "No! He's what?"
Wife: "My husband is circumcised."
Ashley: [in dismay and embarrassment] "Oh, yeah, I see that."
Husband: [wanting his wife to leave] "Go away, Mary!"
Ashley: [to the husband, with annoyance] "You could've said something."
Husband: "It's my birthday today!"
In the next scene, Ashley is being grilled by her supervisor:
Supervisor: "Ashley, I need to know exactly what happened. Mrs. Robson's very upset."
Ashley: "I was trying to pull back his foreskin, okay? There was a lot of excess skin around the head."
Supervisor: "He's circumcised."
Ashley: "Yeah, I mean, take that up with his childhood doctor. Gene, his penis is a mess!" [at this moment the wife walks into the room unexpectedly]
Supervisor: "I beg your pardon, Mrs. Robson."
Ashley: [in more dismay and embarrassment as she turns around and notices the wife] "Oh, come on..."
Supervisor: "I'm so sorry, Mrs. Robson. Look, if you'd like to go back and wait in the lounge, I'll be with you in just a moment." [The wife storms out of the room]. "Now, I'm not sure what's worse, your overall conduct or the fact that you're a sixth-year medical student who can't tell whether a penis has been circumcised or not. Do you need to see the slideshow again?"
Ashley: "No, please."
Supervisor: "Lot of paperwork here. This is a sеxual assault complaint."
And in the final scene of the episode, Ashley tells her boyfriend, Gordon, what happened:
Ashley: "While we're on the subject..."
Gordon: "Yeah?"
Ashley: "I accidentally jerked off an elderly man at work today."
Gordon: "Okay..."
Ashley: "Yeah..."
Gordon: "Well, you know, I mean, that...that's ethical pοrn." [this is a callback to an earlier joke in the episode]
Ashley: "It is. I mean, there are no accidents, so let's just say I jerked off an elderly man.
Gordon: "Okay. Yeah, yeah--"
Ashlely: --"At work."
Gordon: --"Yeah. It's very hard to accidentally jerk someone off. How'd it happen? Is this real? This actually happened?"
Ashley: "It was...it was a foreskin misunderstanding."
Gordon: "Oh, is that what happened? All right? Yeah, yeah. I mean, that happens."
Interestingly, the actress who plays Ashley, who is also one of the shows co-creators, in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, when asked where they draw inspiration from for their characters, said: "All my medical stuff is from a friend, Steph, who’s a real doctor. So...the trying to get your foreskin back thing was real."
I had an appointment that was probably an hour long and a little bit into it a heard screaming a couple thumping sounds (running) from across the hall, the screaming almost lasted my entire appointment and I felt that it was too long and loud to be shots, and the screams were boy screams. When I left the appointment it was dark outside.
I've spent some fair amount of time browsing IntactiWiki's page on him and pages relating to him. Crazy to see all the people that are associated and share mutuals with him.
Only going a person or 2 deep you will find names like Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, Bill Clinton etc.
It's worrying how much influence and connections he has despite all his studies being discredited.
Very disturbing.
I’m just curious if anyone in this sub used to be pro-circ. If so, what changed your mind?
