You know those commercial where the attorney and adjusters are having a heated argument and start cursing at each other?
Attorney: Like give me x or I’m going to file a lawsuit
Adjuster: how many F-ing time do I have to tell you I only have x amount to settle…
Does that really happen? If you haven’t seen it search up “Hadi - Law Liberty Mutual.
So I currently own a 2024 Audi S3 (FL) and I am with Geico full coverage for $1370 for a 6 month premium. I just got a quote from progressive for $917 for 6 months.
My hesitation is that I have mechanical breakdown insurance(MBI) with Geico, which to me, sounds like a great coverage. ($250 deductible for any mechanical engine failure up to 100k miles I believe?)
Additionally if I can get Geico down to $1160 for 6 months.
Should I stay with Geico at $1160 and MBI or progressive for $917?
I’m a 22 year old male with Geico insurance paying about $155/mo. Previously had a clean driving record with no tickets/etc. until last month. I was in an empty parking lot teaching my younger cousin how to drive (she just got her learners permit) when she accidentally hit a pole. Minor damage but I had it fixed through insurance. Last week I got a letter in the mail from Geico saying that they’re terminating my coverage due to the accident. The letter didn’t say anything about appealing, but is it possible?
Looking for an in-state carrier.
Hey guys! I'm in FL working on getting my Adjusters License. Through adjuster pro. Whats the chances of being hired staff for a REMOTE TRAINEE position🤔? And what companies are hiring for adjuster trainees in general? I want to at the end of my career become at some point a Property Desk Adjuster. I see it may take awhile to get into the game but this is what I really want to become. I will start anywhere auto, bi, where ever I just want to get my foot in the door. I would love to be hybrid but most jobs make you stay in office majority of the week but due to transportation reasons I can only go in office once a week max, on Tuesdays. And before you say it I love this career path and don't plan on changing it lol. I need help! What do I do guys? And if you have ideas on alternate plans to get me to desk remote lay them out too! 😭 I'm extremely determined no matter how long it takes!
My adult child (21) will be graduating college and staying out of state (FL). Can I keep them on my auto insurance (GA) if they are no longer a student.
I want to lend my car to a friend for a week. My insurance doesn't cover this i believe. Therefore, my question is what insurance should i ask my friend to get for a week so that any potential damage gets covered? Probably this varies by geographies, but if there is an overall general answer please let me know..
I just turned 27 and recently bought a brand new 2025 Honda Civic Sport Hybrid in Hawaii. This is my first car and first auto insurance policy. I have no prior insurance history, no accidents, and no tickets.
I’m paying $142.64 per month for full coverage with a local insurance company based here. Includes emergency roadside and rental car reimbursement coverage as well. Does this seem like a fair rate, or should I shop around?
Of course, I needed insurance to drive my new car off the lot, but I didn’t have a policy yet. One of the dealership staff referred me to an insurer, and this was the best rate they could find.
Hello,
I had accidentally hit remove on my application on the healthcare website for marketplace.
I do have the member ID number via broker says it's cancelled and my exchange number. Would they be able to send correspondence to the carrier to effectively cancel the coverage since i cannot get access to it anymore?
Thanks. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Hello everyone, I am taking the P&C exam for NC, I am on my second attempt and I got 63 and 64. I am using the Webce platform. I have already taken many exams and the questions are repeated. Does anyone know of another platform for questions? I have checked Kaplan's but the Casualty and Property questions are mixed up. I don't know if this is a good idea since I am taking the exams separately. Thank you for your opinions and suggestions.
Looking for affordable eamrrirs and omissions insurance for a notary public business.
Universal insurance just told me I need to upload a hand written note to cancel my homeowners insurance . This sounds unlawful and intentionally difficult , no? How do i make them realize this is wrong and help others in the future stay away from this company ?
Hello. Here are the basics.
So help me out here. Why the photo requirements? It’s my understanding that if made aware we didn’t have proper coverage the lien holder should/could force-placed it through progressive. Would they need to submit photos?
Currently waiting to hear back from claim adjuster about recording. Feeling so frustrated with this whole experience. How would you go about managing this? Thanks.
I’m sure I’m leaving out lots of info so ask for clarification if need be. Oh, and please be gentle in response. I get this won’t work out in our favor.
Ok so I got hit by a van and made a claim with the other person’s insurance and they are taking full liability, and for them to pay me they said they could do it through Zelle or debit card or check. At first I tried to get them to use my Zelle but they said they couldn’t find my Zelle account for some reason so I just gave them my debit card information but now I’m just confused how are they supposed to pay me if they have my debit card information and not my bank account information? Did I fuck up or am I just confused.
9 months ago an uninsured motorist ran the red light and totaled our car. We submitted the dash cam video to our insurance and received immediate pay out.
A month after the accident, the other driver contacted a lawyer and requested to know our policy limit and for a copy of the video. We declined both and I think our insurance ended up going after them for the settlement paid to us (not 100% sure). We didn’t hear anything until now.
Many months have passed and the other driver sent our insurance a settlement demand letter for a sizable amount.
I understand a demand letter is not a lawsuit, so I don’t think it’s worth much. But has anyone had the at-fault, uninsured motorist send a demand letter and/or file a lawsuit? LOL
I have an investment property in NY state. Due to claims before tenants moved in, insurance issued a non-renewal. I’ve done tons of shopping and only a couple places will insurance us, for $7000+/year.
If no insurance is provided soon, the bank will cover us on their own. Is that usually a higher cost?
In your experience, does the bank’s insurance end up being more or less costly? Are there other downsides to the bank’s insurer?
Any insight would be most appreciated?
Have a car on my property that we are working was wondering if contents insurance will cover it in the event of a flood?
I am a medicare insurance broker and whenever my clients call me I find myself juggling between different tabs - specifically the Pennie Website and AgencyBloc to find the answer they are looking for. Am I doing it efficiently? Is there some place where I can search up directly like chatgpt to get exact answer from the plan I am looking for instead of doing bunch of ctrl+fs?
Would love to know how you go about it.!
Hi all, I recently got rear ended, luckily my Thule hitch bike rack took the beatings, not my car. My question is, how should I go about getting the bike rack replaced? The rack alone cost about $800 brand new. Should I file a claim through my insurance (Geico with $1000 deductible) or the other driver's insurance? Fyi, I have a front and rear dashcam which proves that the other driver is 100% at fault and a police report.
I have a Chevy Bolt 2017 EV, got into an accident last week, got rear-ended by a guy speeding in a miata and stuck my left tail-light into the body. Progressive did not even send an inspector to check the car. Judging from the photos I sent, they deemed it total loss and proceed to send an inspector next week to give me a value for the car. Was wondering maybe it's because it's an EV, that's why they were so hesitant to fix it? They gave me 2 options, to essentially sell my car to them at ACV, or keep the car, get a smaller payout and fix it myself, and registering it as a rebuilt title. I can drive it fine, there's literally no other damages except the rear bumper and tail lights. If I were to go for the 1st option, any things I should look out for? I've looked through prices for my model and it ranges from 10k-12k around the same mileage. Mine just had it's battery changed in October and it has the optional DC fast charging port installed too. I just got the car in December and I don't even have my plates yet, and it's deemed totaled by the insurance. I'm afraid progressive is going to lowbell me like most businesses do.
Our company just swapped health insurance providers on the first of January, but there are delays with the printing of the insurance information. (United Healthcare to United Healthcare)
Our insurance rep has been telling me that the member id is the same, and to tell doctor’s offices to check it. However, the answer is always that the insurance info appears to be expired when my wife and i do so. (She is on my company’s plan with me)
With my wife about to give birth to our first child, Im getting nervous about insurance covering the birth, and worried if the hospital/doctors will be in network.
Hoping for some words of advice, and encouragement that im overthinking this.
in 2022 we had a claim on our insurance for a dog bite in CO and we were dropped from our insurance. We were able to find new coverage but it's expensive. I'm wondering at what point will this drop from our history. Is it 3, 5, 7 years? Thanks in advance for any insight
I was toying with some pricing variables trying to find a way to get to the “right” EV customer, as they’re getting more and more prevalent and traditional models are struggling to balance the frequency/severity. Teslas in particular have severity trends that are off the freaking charts (strangely enough, frequency/severity is almost 80% lower when the vehicle was in FSD at the time of loss, I guess it is true - Tesla drivers just flat out cannot drive. Dataset is still too small to be truly credible, but I’m trying to find a way to get more and see if that’ll back up).
Anyway - there were some obvious segments that EV’s performed well in. Particularly older males, limits 100/300 or greater, 2+yrs vehicle ownership. But one that jumped out was Rideshare drivers, particularly ones that drove 3+ hours per day. Weird, as the common thought was always surcharge the rideshare exposure and pray you guessed right for increased frequency.
So I backed up and segmented out rideshare as a whole. Damned trend held. The data is thin, but 3+ hour per day rideshare drivers trend significantly lower claim frequency vehicle year and per mile is even lower.
Underserved product niche it appears. Most of them are floating in the fringe standard markets mainly light lapses and thin/poor credit but it looks like it could be a profitable segment to explore.
For those in the sub that are in the front line production area, particularly independents, I wonder how a product geared toward that demo would resonate. Seems like you wouldn’t have to forget to hear the rideshare exposure in order to not explain the surcharge if it was in fact a discount.
Tye other segment is just not worth chasing. Everyone wants the boring commuter guy and you have to cut to the bone just to get their interest.
I was a licensed adjuster with FL as my home state for years. I recently started with a new company and as I live in AZ, had to test and apply for AZ. I was on diversion for a misdemeanor shoplifting charge from last year and licensing said it wouldn’t be a big deal just extra paperwork. I just found out I got disqualified for the dismissal due to some subsequent police interaction. Although the subsequent issue HAS been dismissed, I now have to appear for sentencing for the shoplifting. If I remember correctly, I will have to pay a fine and be on unsupervised probation but the bigger issue is my squeaky clean record is now permanently marred….does anyone have experience with shoplifting charges and licensing? It seems to be a grey or at least blurry area in the “moral breach” licensing topic….any and all detailed stories, experiences, and advice is welcomed and appreciated. 🙏🏼💕
I am a manager at a small high end luxury boutique and while I was working I had my phone stolen. It was very weird as the thieves tried to take multiple pieces of merchandise yet put everything back besides my phone which they had stolen from behind the cash register. My boss (the owner of the store) initially told me that her business insurance would cover the theft of my property. However, she has made no steps to make a claim. Is it even worth going after? Would insurance ever cover the loss of property from an employee?
I am on my wife's employer plan. Runs June1 to May 31.
For some unknown reason that we are not privy to, someone at her company complained about the deductible not running Jan 1 to Dec 31. So the deducible was reset to run Jan 1 to Dec 31. Still the same insurance plan. Only change because deductible dates. So any thing we had applied towards the deductible was cut short by 6 months and restarted.
So I had the new original deductible starting date of Jun 1, 2024. Then the 2nd one starting over on Jan 1, 2025. Then I go on Medicare April 1, 2025 so a 3rd new deductible starting date. Very aggravating.
What makes it even worse is my wife had a medical emergency on Dec 23rd and was admitted to the hospital for 4 days. Released to home Dec 27th. New deductible date started 5 dates after that so those charges won't be applied to the current deductible.
We have a call in to an advocate from her ins. co. to see if there is some kind of continuation of care clause that spans when medical treatment begins in one deductible period and continues in to a new deductible period.

yeah this, the specifics are not too germain. Our out of state insurance broker says contact Transunion to dispute. Guess we are just going to shop our insurance with a new broker.
I was involved in an accident and immediately rushed to the hospital after sustaining severe injuries. When I awoke some time later and gathered everything I noticed the police report had the lady who hit me telling a version of events that was completely untrue, leaving the police unable to determine fault. Fortunately, my attorney submitted dashcam footage from my car to their insurance proving their fault and dishonesty.
To be honest this makes me really angry that people would lie and try to take advantage of me like that. What repercussions will they face when their insurance determines they are in fact lying?
How much time can I have to drive my car if i cancel my car policy? Or Does it expire immediately?
