I am replacing the electrical system with a Painless harness. For those of you that have done this, where did you place the fuse box and are you happy with the placement? Thanks!
Hey guys- just picked up a complete 345 that I’m installing in my 1980 scout. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good 4b carb and intake? It has a stock intake and a Carter 4b on it currently
I need to pull out our non-operable '80 Scout II from the garage and park it outside for a few months.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a heavy duty cover that stands up to high altitude desert conditions?
Hey all, looking to confirm some assumptions I am making. I have a 1978 Scout ii, and it has a Western snow plow that is of the era. I love the combo and want to keep it as I have a 1/2 mile gravel driveway I have to plow. I think I will keep the roughly stock wheels/tires (at least sizing) just so that I do not change the plow geometry. I am having a difficult time however finding a suspension kit that doesn't have some lift. So my questions are -
Does the 2.5 inch lift require different body mounts?
Will that 2.5 inch lift mess with anything on wheels/tires (I wouldn't think so, but just asking)?
I have a welder basically re-doing the entire back end of the Scout ii with panels from EJ Classics, so now would be the time to change anything. I am excited to get my ride back, but know I will need do some suspension work. Bonus points if anyone knows anything about the plow type, etc.
I know I'm basically asking for the mood here but I drive a '70 800A and have been looking for a full length hardtop for over two years with no success, anybody have any ideas? Located in MT
Well life has changed quite a bit over the past 9 years and I no longer have time to work on my project. She has been sitting in the garage without any work for 3 years now.
I've put together a list of auto shops that specialize in Scout restomods, restoration, service and repair, etc.
Who would you add (or remove?)?

I have a 79 Scout in Coulter ville CA. Was used to haul hang gliders. Am too old to keep after it. Has been parked for years. Roof is damaged from falling tree branch. Cretins are after it. Needs rescue.
So I'm new to this, but I am going to buy a 1962 Scout 80 this weekend, and it needs a lot of love. Well it runs and drives but it needs some engine and body work done. Is there anything I should be aware of; good or bad? I know my dad mentioned to me that I should see if the frame is rusted out under the driver side, since we use salt on the roads here in Minnesota.
Note: it's gonna be an investment but it's more of I've always wanted to fix one up with my dad kind of thing. Yes, I want to put money into it but I'm not going to go balls to walls with it, and make a super off-roader.
I have a Traveler with a rebuilt 345 that runs well... but, the Traveler doesn't run quite as I'd like. I've added a Holley Sniper EFI and like it, but still think about the LS swap regularly. What was it that made you commit and do the swap?
I found a Scout 80 pickup near me and it is one of my dream cars and just had so quick questions. Does it have a radio or a spot for a radio? And have you ever seen jumpseats for the bed because I feel like that would be smart?
