I like to make a video for my personal channel every summer for fun and this was my biggest project yet. I hope yall get a kick out of it and the humor isint too cringy.
After I replay all gunvolt game in order to see what thing it improve to each game
Im kinda like iX2 much more than ever I know this game story is very lacking compare to whole series and Copen gameplay overhaul in the way people dislike it but damn boss fight and ost is so good especially hard mode is so intense and fair.
stage is feel like real videogame stage now you cant just air dash though it like previous game when you unlock infinite air dash with 1000 kudos you too op because this game design around 1 air dash so you destroy everything too easily maybe this is why they experiment with 1 air dash to find middle ground.
I wish iX3 we got mobility from iX1 but still have close combat like iX2 maybe for tanky enemy gameplay will be like hopping around and quick slash everything.
I bought the game because it was on sale and looked cool but I cannot understand what is going on or what I’m supposed to be doing. I beat the first boss (second, if you’re counting the intro level) but can barely understand the systems.
Are there any walkthroughs or video explanations of how to play this game? It seems like it could be fun but there’s a lot of noise to parse and I’m having trouble. Thank you.
Is there any mods out there for any of the GV games? There's nothing on most modding sites. Why or why not?
New to Gunvolt, recommended by friend a couple years ago but just have a chance to try Striker Pack because its 50% off. Love it! I have finished both Gv1&2 with all True Ending (but not GV2 secret ending) within 3 days. Decided to bought the rest 3 games while they still 50% off for last day. Will continue on iX :)
hint: not blue
This is a question for anyone who's played Mighty Gunvolt Burst. I've gotten every Pixel Sticker except 229, the weird doll-looking one, but for some reason after nine full playthroughs I just can't get it to spawn. It's not in any of the level descriptions as a rare collectable, and I couldn't find any reliable info online. Is there something I'm missing?
Playing on Switch, Gold Archive Collection.
Cloudy Haze: User can generate clouds at will, either for transportation or attacking
Boundary: User can manipulate space to create a field where living/non-living things can’t get through or get out of. Can also be used for defense
Jade Thumb: User can freely manipulate plant life, as well as allow plant life to grow in places where it would normally be impossible
Gale: User has free control over wind, from using it for transportation to using it for offense/defense
Metallokinesis: User can control all forms of metal to their whim
I'm currently trying to achieve the SS ranksnin Gunvolt 3, which means beating an entire stage with only Gunvolt. I got it for the first three stagesy but I just can't get any more. So I was wondering what passive Image Pulses everyone is using?
Primal Dragon Gunvolt is mandatory, so there are 7 left. The two Gunvolt and Dogvolt IPs sound like a must, or am I wrong? What else should I pick?
Also do Kudos related IPs, like Mythil even do anything for Fetters Gauge generation?
Thanks in advance for your help!
I've been a big fan of the MegaMan series for a while, with special mention going to the Zero tetralogy. Somehow, it's taken me until now to get around to playing the Gunvolt games. I've beaten the two games in the Striker Pack, and my conclusion is that, when playing as Gunvolt himself, they don't stack up to even the classic MM series. The forcefield mechanic feels sluggish, effectively turning combat into shooting at something once and waiting for its health to slowly go down, and with his gun being as effective as a peashooter, combined with him being invincible when his forcefield isn't out, means I found myself just ignoring enemies more often than not. The bosses also felt long and drawn-out, obscenely obnoxious but without any sort of difficulty to back them up, largely because of these mechanics and the hover that kicks in whenever you have the forcefield active in midair.
Copen, on the other hand, felt exhilarating to play as. He's no Zero, but he comes damn close. For starters, his gun actually does real damage, which is already an astounding improvement from GV. Couple that with the whole "locking onto enemies by slamming into them" shtick and you've got the recipe for something better than X. (That might not be a fair comparison, though, seeing as how X was less about fluidity and more about exploration.) And reloading Bullits in midair is just as satisfying as the classic dash jump. The only thing holding him back is that his campaign is even easier than GV's seeing as how his invincibility doesn't get disabled during attacks and there's no overheating.
I'll probably be coming back to Gunvolt 2 and replaying Copen's campaign with the invincibility mechanic turned off. GV1 and Gunvolt's campaign in GV2? Not so much. I'm also seriously considering getting the Luminous Avenger iX games (although American physical copies of the first one are ludicrously expensive for some reason).
As for Gunvolt 3, does it improve on the title character's gameplay in any substantial way, or is it still the same thing? I guess it wouldn't really be Gunvolt if you changed his gameplay enough to where it would actually be fun, but maybe...?
I'm close to finishing this series of games, and I'm just wondering if anyone has recommendations for what else to play? I've heard of the megaman games of course, but is there anything else similar (particularly for Switch)? I like the smooth fast paced movement/combat of Copen in GV2 and iX. I'm more of a casual player, not super into trying to get perfect on every level.
Hi, everyone. This is my fist post here. I have some questions about Gunvolt 3.
I bought Gunvolt 3 at launch, played through it, had a good time and put it down. Now I picked it back up because I wanted to try some of the S++ challenges (I didn't really care about my rank during my first playthrough) and noticed that some things were added and I have a few questions:
1- What are considered to be the best Image Pulses (I'm gonne write IPs from now on), - both active and passive ones - if you want to get the highest ranks? For active ones are offensive IPs even worth it since they don't give Kudos? Should I go for Djinn and 3 healing effects?
2- The passive IP of Layla has the effect "Increases the chance of a special Kudos song playing". Does anyone know what that even means?
3- When choosing missions you can select "XX-Trigger" mode, but the game never explains, was that even is?
4- I've only just seen that you somehow can get the rank "SS" instead of "S++"? How does that work?
5- I've also seen that there is DLC now. Do you think it's worth buying? From what I've seen it just seems to be active IPs from former Gunvolt bosses and nothing else.
Thanks in advance for your help!
