Alright, so last night we had a few battles going boom, so here are the results of such.

Not liking the look of Owotever being in the hands of the Orangies. No matter, The Periwinkle force has re-invaded and will be on their way to victory sooner than you can learn to pronounce O'Shaughnessy.

Speaking of invading, one more battle are on the schedule, which is Cinnabar Cape! I even heard one guy was planning on opening a cinnamon roll shop in celebration. First roll's on me, guys.

In other news, the GEC has formed and are on their way to becoming a great rebellion community. They're searching for a new flag, and the contest for such is hosted over on the GEC sub. https://redd.it/40oxsc

Up in Anglona, Almond AFB has started it's construction. Heard it was gonna be huge! We'll just have to see.

The periwinkle forces tried their hardest and the end result was a repeat of the last battle, the ORs being forced out of every sector of the archipelago!

Sectors 5 and 7 seemed to get the most action, with multiple raging battles going on in both sectors. We are currently anticipating news on where the next action will take place. While you're waiting, here's Black Widow by Cage the Elephant!

One of our senior members here at Good Morning Periwinkle has recently announced his leave and I felt it was appropriate to leave a few words on the radio. Redis's influence is clear by just looking on the sub. You can see the sidebar picture including his name and his place on the modboard.

Redis was an essential part of our team and will be greatly missed. We at GMP wish him the best of luck in the future.

Interesting note... On this day in Periwinkle history in 1992, Marshals /u/tiercel and /u/meshugganah (retired) were both drunk and passed out in pools of vomit at their respective universities. Can't confirm, but it's quite possible that /u/l_rufus_californicus was as well.

Haven't posted in awhile and just wanted to check in. Sincerely hope you all are doing well and will continue to do well. In other news, a potential plug.dj replacement is supposed to launch tomorrow so we'll see how that goes. With that, here is This Modern Love by Bloc Party. One of my current favorite songs, truly beautiful.

Yesterday, plug.dj went down for good. For those who don't know, plug.dj was a site that let users play music in a community. At GMP, we used this to play music since the start. While it wasn't always active, it was a staple for battle banter and will thoroughly be missed by me, and many others.

The good news, however, is that there are alternatives to plug.dj. Right now I'm kinda experimenting with one called dubtrack.fm. This link to our community should work. There are a lot of things I don't like about this one compared to plug but it works for now. Turn.fm is a site being created for the purpose of replacing plug but that's not up yet. I'll definitely be looking into that one in the future so be ready for more news on this front.

After some final preparation, the Chroma Olympics VI finally started this Friday and will continue for this week. Make sure to take part in the wonderful events over at /r/Chroma_Olympics, it's a lot of fun! After 4 riveting sets, /u/tehbrony5 pulled periwinkle through in the last battle to win the tournament.

Game 1: /u/TheAllStarrBand vs /u/Uber_Ober

The Orangereds were short two players, so Uber had 4 stocks and Starr had 2. Starr knocked off Uber's first two stocks before being taken down.

Game 2: /u/KRAy_Z_n1nja vs /u/Uber_Ober

Using his two remaining stocks, Uber put up a good fight but Kray took him down with one stock remaining.

Game 3: /u/a_flock_of_goats vs /u/C2ke

Cake volunteered to fight for the Orangereds, a valiant decision. Foggy had 3 stocks, using Kray's last stock because Kray had to leave. After a nail-biting match, Cake won with 2 stocks remaining.

Game 4: /u/tehbrony5 vs /u/C2ke

Cake took our savior to his last stock in a riveting Villager ditto but our savior took him out, winning the battle for the periwinkles.

The Orangered vs Periwinkle Crew Battle for Smash Bros 3DS starts tomorrow at 10 PM EDT, if the ORs cooperate. Team leader for PW, /u/TheAllStarrBand, a Toon Link main from Pervinca has been reported saying that he will single-handedly 2-stock OR team leader /u/SirGuyFawkes.

If I ever choose to leave Chroma for good and officially, I think GMP will be the last place I leave behind. There's just something so rewarding and nice in sharing songs I care about to other people. Even if just one person listens, I can say my mission was complete.

That said, here's one of my most recent favorites. I went to this guy's concert a few weeks ago and this really hit me for some reason. It's in Estonian though. Hmm..

I'll see what I can do.

Don't know about you, but where I am, there are summer music festivals everywhere. (Well, I say, everywhere, there is one going on right now and one coming in August, but that's still quite a lot for the small Baltics)
