Hello everyone, I hope you're doing well. I just found this sub, this is actually my first time making a request here, so I hope I’m doing it right.
For the first time ever, I bought a PS4 earlier this year. I have been catching up since on all the games I missed. I finally got to play RDR2, and other games as well like Witcher 3, AC Valhalla, Control, and also TLOU2 and Horizon using my friend's account.
One game I love but didn't get the chance to play is Shadow of the Tomb Raider. I have been playing Tomb Raider games since childhood, and I absolutely love the new trilogy. I played the first that came out in 2013, my weak laptop can run it. But it can't run the other two.
Now that I finally have a PS4, I can continue the story of Lara. In 2018 I watched the entirety of Shadow on Youtube, but I don't remember much so it's good, also it's not the same as really playing. Same thing happened with Red Dead, but when I played it, I had fun, even though I knew about the pretty big spoilers (You know what I mean).
I understand there are probably a lot of requests here, so no worries if this isn’t possible. Just thought I would take a shot. Either way, thanks for taking the time to read my post !

Hi!! this is my first ever request here, so, I apologize if I come off awkward at all. From the US :)
Potionomics is a game where you, the protagonist, inherit your uncle's potion shop. You can customize your store, befriend other vendors, gather ingredients, make potions, have competitors, and so on!! The game has a great cast of characters to meet, and I love the character designs. :)
I've wanted to play this game since forever, I love fantasy games, and I love cozy games. I'm assuming this is part of the steam winter sale (lasting until Jan 2nd). The game is usually 24.99$ off-sale. I know it's not a huge discount, but I assumed it's better to try while it's on sale, so it's less money out of somebody's pocket!
Usually, I'd buy it myself, but I've fallen upon hard times. I haven't even been able to get gifts for my loved ones. I know that it's a long shot, but I come here with hopes to receive just this game.
If I am to receive this game, I will be eternally grateful :)
I know this post is probably shorter than most, and I do apologize for that. I'm not that great at writing long posts. </3
Thank you in advance. I deeply appreciate anything that comes out of this. :) Fingers crossed! <3

Hey everyone,
I’ve always loved automation games. There’s something about figuring out how to make everything run smoothly that just clicks with me. Whether it’s planning out a factory, troubleshooting bottlenecks, or just watching a system work the way I designed it, it’s one of my favorite ways to spend time.
Recently, I stumbled across Techtonica, and it looks incredible. The whole underground exploration mixed with automation is such a cool idea. I’ve been watching videos and reading up on it, and honestly, I can’t stop thinking about all the builds I’d try. It seems like the perfect mix of challenge and creativity, and I’d love to dive in and see what I could make.
The only downside is that things are a little tight for me financially right now, so I haven’t been able to grab it yet. I figured I’d take a chance and share this here because I’ve seen how awesome this community can be.
If someone decides to help me out, I’d be beyond grateful. But even if not, I’m just happy to talk about a game that looks this good with people who get it. Thanks for reading, and I hope you’re all enjoying whatever games you’re playing right now!
To prove it love automation games, check my satisfactory hours. Lol. I bought it back in 2022 I'm obsessed XD

Hi again GoG, I thought I’d give a shot at requesting the recent GOTY nominee Metaphor: ReFantazio by the talented Studio Zero and Atlus while it’s discounted for Steam’s Winter Sale. For those unfamiliar with the game or studio I’ll start with a brief rundown of what I know from trailers and reviews. Disclaimer, I have shied away from watching raw gameplay to keep myself in the dark as much as possible, so there is plenty I don't know but that's all to keep myself surprised if I get to play it. Metaphor is a roleplaying game set in the fictional United Kingdom of Euchronia shortly after its king’s assassination. It follows the protagonist in a tournament for the throne that takes them across the world, meeting friendly and ferocious faces, dungeon diving, and ultimately attempting to lift a curse placed on Euchronia's Prince. It features a turn-based combat system similar to previous Atlus titles but this time with the Archetype mechanic that essentially dictates your party's combat style. There is also a calendar feature familiar to fans of the Persona series (such as myself) to help balance your dungeon crawling and the day-to-day life aspects like building social bonds with your party members.
As someone who could not be a bigger fan of the Persona series and JRPGs in general, it is a definite must-have that I have been hungry to sink my teeth into since I first saw the reveal trailer. It checks all the boxes for me, from its above and beyond art direction that infuses everything down to the UI with personality to the strategic character building and combat options. Its medieval fantasy setting also reminds me of the Fire Emblem series which happens to be another favourite franchise of mine. I just got around to playing through Persona 5 Royal for the second time on PC (It’s been about a few years since I first beat P5R on PS4) and Metaphor: ReFantazio feels like the perfect title to fill the gap during the wait for Persona 6 with it's near 100 hours of content. I'm always tight on money around the holidays and never have the funds to treat myself, especially to a game that at full price is nearly $100 Candian. However, if anybody feels inclined to spread some holiday cheer and give me the oppurtunity to try what looks to be a game I'll absoultely love then I'd be incredibly grateful. Regardless, I hope everyone reading this has a happy holidays and stays safe!
Hey everyone,
I hope you’re all doing well! This is now my eigth attempt at requesting Minecraft, and while I haven’t had any luck so far, I’m staying hopeful because of the kindness and generosity that I’ve seen in this amazing community.
For those unfamiliar with Minecraft, it’s more than just a block-building game—it’s a boundless sandbox of creativity and adventure. You can mine resources, craft tools, and build nearly anything your imagination allows. The vast open world is filled with different biomes, from lush forests to snowy mountains, and even the mysterious Nether. Whether you’re constructing massive castles, collaborating with friends on multiplayer servers, or simply exploring, Minecraft offers endless possibilities. What I find especially magical is how the game becomes a personal canvas, allowing you to shape it however you like. Plus, the relaxing soundtrack by C418 adds a serene, calming vibe that helps ease the stress of everyday life.
Watching people play Minecraft has been something I’ve enjoyed for a long time, but more than that, the music and creative freedom in the game represent a kind of escape I’ve been dreaming of. It’s a world I’ve always wanted to immerse myself in, especially during challenging moments in school.
As an undergrad student, finances have been tight. Between tuition, books, and living expenses, saving $30 for Minecraft just hasn’t been possible. I’ve been cutting costs wherever I can—walking to classes and skipping out on small luxuries—but buying a game right now feels out of reach. Unfortunately, asking my family for help isn't an option as they are already doing all they can to support me through college.
I’m humbly asking if anyone might be able to help me get a copy of Minecraft. It would mean so much to me, especially during the holiday season when it feels like a perfect time to unwind and enjoy something I’ve wanted for so long. If anyone is willing to help, I promise to pay the kindness forward when I’m in a better financial position.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. Whether or not you’re able to help, I truly appreciate your time, and I hope you have a fantastic day! Feel free to reach out via Reddit chat if you’d like to connect.

Hello GoG! This is my first time requesting a game (2nd attempt), and given that the holidays are almost here I thought I might take a chance making my christmas wish in this community.
I have been a Dragon Age fan for many years. I first discovered the games around 12 years ago in a very rough patch in my life and, I don't really like to say this because I don't want it to sound like a sob story, but it saved my life along with the Mass Effect trilogy kept me going. I spent whole nights playing and since then I have had a big obsession with both universes. I read the books, the comics and own all the art books. They really got me into fantasy / sci-fi respectively, and from there I really got into gaming.
So I've been waiting 10 years for the next entry and I'm very eager to play even with the mixed opinions, and been playing Origins, 2 and Inquisition in preparation for this one.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is a single-player RPG, a follow-up to Inquisition, where you create your own character, recruit and build relationships with companions (companions have always been my favorite part about Bioware games) and build alliances with different factions to defeat old elven gods freed from the Veil.
The reason I can't afford the game is that I don't have a job because of my disability and even though I get a bit of economic help, it goes all to medical bills.
I'm bad at communicating so sorry if this post was a mess, also english is not my main language.
Thank you for the opportunity.
I remember playing Total War games in the 2000-2010s alongside my brother on the couch side-by-side trying to make strategies as kids/teens and those are some of the fondest memories I have off my early teens,
I've really been digging into the warhammer lore recently, and it's absolutely amazing, after finding out about this game, I really need it, but I don't have the money to buy it, since I'm from Brazil and games are pretty expensive here and I have been through rough times recently, both monetarily and psychologically, so I don't have the conditions to buy it, even thought I'd really love to, and I'm really against pirating games, specially ones that look like the developers put a lot of passion on it, with constant updates and additions.
The game is currently on discount on steam at 60% off base game for 23.99 USD (20 USD on Brazilian Steam), or 53% off collection with all dlcs for 63.13 USD (47.50 USD on Brazilian Steam). While the DLCs are by no means necessary, they would be greatly appreciated! (The Brazilian prices can be used if gifted by a steam gift card, US steam gift cards can be claimed by Brazilian accounts)
I wish that if I get the game, I get to invite my brother to play alongside me just for old times sake, since we don't really spend that much time together anymore after adult life hit and he became a father, so it would be pretty nice to get to spend some quality time with him and reminisce the old days.

Hello everyone, I hope your holidays are going great.
Garry's Mod (GMod) is a physics-based sandbox game with no clear objectives but gives us a lot of object for us to experiment and play around. The game as a ton of user created content such as maps, game modes, items, etc. making the game extremely fun, especially with friends.
I am a student who lives with his parents. My family haven't been doing well financially for the past few years and therefore I had to resort to making a request here. My father went out of business few years back and my mother supports our entire family. I asked them for the game once and they said no and I don't wish to burden them again over luxuries. I never ask them for games except on year's end, usually they agree but this time they didn't. I know it's really cheap, its embarrassing that I am having to make a request here, but we are just that broke I'm sorry :')
I have been wanting to play Garry's Mod with my friends for a long long time, I have seen videos and it seems so fun. I am a huge fan of other valve titles like L4D2, Portal and Counter-Strike and this game just brings them all together. The game has so much community content, we can play it for days with my friends. It would be such a wonderful gift this Christmas. I would be eternally grateful to you. Thank you very much!
Thank you for reading my post. I hope you have a wonderful holiday. I wish you Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! :D

(repost) the previous one was buggin.
Hello. I recently found this subreddit and I know there have been and will be many similar requests like mine, but posting this is the only thing I can do now. This is my last hope. If you want to know why I can't afford this game, it's because I was born and live in a third-world country where the economy is in shambles. this is a quote from the previous ruler of the current regime of our country 50 years ago: "The economy belongs to the donkey. Our people have revolutionized for Islam, not melons." I think you can guess what has happened to our economy over the past 50 years. My friends and I, and many others like us, can't afford any of our hobbies, let alone gaming. We live here while our hearts want to be somewhere else where we won't struggle to buy a single game for literal years. Yes, i've wanted to buy Cyberpunk for years, but life hasn't allowed me to. That's what living in a third-world country is like. When I discovered this sub, I wanted to try it as my last hope. If you search "What country has the weakest currency?" my country (Iran) comes up first. I don't know why websites don't list my country among the top 10 poorest countries in 2024 because we definitely should be.
On top of all that, the pricing of games on Steam has skyrocketed over the last year, and I just can't afford a game unless it's 90% off or more. I can endure and accept that. I get it, I'm not rich and don't live in the best country. life is hard. But Cyberpunk... the feeling of wanting it has been with me for years, and now that I have a PC capable of playing it, I really want it. Especially now that I have no big game to play and couldn't buy many games from this year's autumn sale and won't be buying much for the current winter sale neither. I avoided playing the pirated version of Cyberpunk because it doesn't have the same feeling as playing it on Steam, and it's a bad thing to do in the first place. I wanted to play this game for so long and always waited for the day to finally play it on Steam. If I play the pirated version, it means all that wait and patience was meaningless and for nothing, and it would make me feel so bad. and i avoided spoilers for this game for years.
I don't know why, but I'm just confused. Sorry if this is not the best writing you find on this sub. My writing has a very negative tone, and I apologize for that. Thank you for reading this. Times have been really tough on me these past months and will continue to be. Gaming is literally the only remaining joyful thing in my life, and it keeps me going to reach the next weekend so I can even just sit behind my PC. As I said, I have no good and new single-player game to play that I haven't played before right now, so it's like I don't have gaming anymore. If anyone could help me get Cyberpunk, it would mean the world to me. Don't want to sound greedy but if you could gift the ultimate edition which includes the expansion of the game it would be much, much better but if not i'd still be very happy with the base game it still is a very generous act from you.

Hello people from GoG, I hope you're all doing amazing today! I'm here to humbly request Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII. Let's get started :)
Why do you want this game?
I really want Crisis Core. I've finished (the original) Final Fantasy VII a few months ago and ended up absolutely loving it. The story, the characters and the world really amaze me. It is surely the masterpiece that the people say it is. Even after all these years, the game hasn't aged that much, at least in my opinion. As someone who doesn't mind the old graphics, it was so much fun. The reason I really want Crisis Core is because it is actually the prequel to Final Fantasy VII. This game originally released on the Playstation Portable system but it was actually remastered 2 years ago, launching on modern platforms including PC! I love the lore in the Final Fantasy VII universe and this game expands upon it. There are tons of stuff that even after finishing the original I still ask myself and Crisis Core is here to explain everything. It would allow me to know much more about the character Zack Fair, which plays a significant role in the main game's story but it isn't really that developed there. That and how everything connects to Cloud afterwards, it genuinely interests me so much. Apart from that, it also expands upon the world-wide known Sephiroth, which is super interesting since he is such a badass. All in all, it fleshes out the characters and shows us why they became how they are in the original game. Technically speaking, it is a Action JRPG and as JRPG being my favorite gaming genre, I will surely love this game! I can't tell you much more about the game since I really don't want to get spoiled so I didn't search a bunch about it (even though I still got spoiled in some parts of the game...).
Why can't you buy this game?
I'm a university student with no job which means I don't have a ton of money. The little money I have, I need to save it up for university. I do end up getting money sometimes, mostly during my birthday and christmas but even then I really need to save it. Just recently, I got unlucky with my car, which I really need to go to university, and end up spending some money sending it to the mechanic, so buying stuff is really a no-no for me right now. I can't really afford Crisis Core as of now which is why I am doing this request, I hope you guys understand!
Concluding...
So... this was it for my request! I would be awfully happy and grateful if someone generous and kind-hearted enough got me this game. I've been looking forward to this game since I finished the original version, which if you reading this request didn't play it yet, you really need to, you won't regret it! I won't get my hopes up since it is a rather expensive game to gift someone that is a stranger to you but I figured it would give it a try since it is currently on sale due to the Square Enix early winter sale (costing 24,99€), still I will be here trying my luck and it would be an awesome Christmas gift! Thank you for reading my request, I hope you had fun reading it and I hope I got your attention on Final Fantasy VII, if you didn't have it there yet. I really enjoy talking about stuff I enjoy so it was really nice to write this post!
See you all! Have a nice and cozy Christmas!

Thank you.
Hello and happy holiday to everyone!
Before getting to the request, I'd like to introduce myself a bit. I'm an undergraduate student, well, not for long, because I will be getting my degree in a few months. Things are going great for me as right before Christmas, I managed to finish all the classes and got an internship which would pay me enough to get my hands on some amazing games that have been in my wishlist for a while. However, despite the big sale on Steam right now, it seems they forgot to add a discount for Horizon Zero Dawn (my disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined).
You might wonder, what's so special about this game that they have to list it at full price? It's actually a remastered version of the game Horizon Zero Dawn which originally came out on PS4 back in 2017. It tells us a story about a young lady named Aloy who sets out on an adventure to uncover mysteries in a post-apocalypstic world filled with sentient machines. In this world, humanity now live in tribes and hunt down machines to scrap their parts. Our girl Aloy has to deal with hostile machines and sometimes even humans with malicious intent using only primitive weapons including a bow, several traps and a spear. At first it sounded like a very dark and dangerous world to live in, but the devs really shocked everybody by creating a beautiful world with scenic views, a realistic and immersive day-night cycle and weather system, all powered by stunning graphics that was almost unbelievable at the time. I never got the chance to play the game myself, but from countless videos I've watched on YouTube, I think the most exciting part is the exploration and discovery, also the combat is really fun and challenging, and the amount of details/lore they worked on and integrated into the game is incredible. I haven't spoiled myself about the story, so I'm hoping for a mind-blowing experience.
I can assure you that with such open world RPG/story-rich titles, I always put a couple hundred hours into each. I just got the Mass Effect legendary edition back in July, initially thought it was an old and time-killing trilogy but what the hell I'm already 300+ hours in and haven't lost any bit of interest. I must confess I didn't like Horizon at first because of the combat mainly relying on bow and arrow, but I realized such thing shouldn't prevent you from enjoying a masterpiece. I really hoped it would go on sale this holiday season but they seem to treat it like a newly released game, and 50 bucks is still a great deal with my earning as an intern, so I am sincerely hoping a kind Santa in this community would come visit me with this game, for which I would be eternally grateful. If somehow magic is real I might even throw my savings into Forbidden West as well, I really hate having to wait a long time when you're so invested in an amazing story like the Horizon series. I remember reading somewhere that they're making a 3rd game, in which case the lengthy wait is inevitable 😭.
Anyway, thank you for making it through my post. I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a wonderful time in this holiday season.

I’ve been a huge fan of the South Park franchise for years. From the series to the movie, it’s always been a go-to for me whenever I need a good laugh. I have watched a lot of game play and know that they are right up my alley. The humor, the same ridiculousness, the characters, everything about it looks hilarious, and I just know it’s something I’d enjoy immensely. I mean apparently even the difficulty slider in the games changes the colour of your skin..
Both these games have been at the top of my wish list for about 5 years now and I've been patiently waiting for them to drop in price to a point where I can afford to buy them.
I, unfortunately, only have about half what I need to afford these games in my steam wallet at the moment. I live in South Africa and am unable to spend too much money on games.
I am still desperate to play these games and so I can’t help but reach out to this wonderful community in hopes of getting gifted a copy. It would seriously mean the world to me! I’ve always loved RPGs, and the idea of playing through my own South Park story in game form is just perfect, and I’d be so grateful if someone here could help make that happen.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read my post, and I hope that everyone has a Merry Christmas!

What is ELDEN RING?
Elden Ring is the latest game in the Souls series, featuring an open world that is quite expansive and full of life. As is typical for the series, it offers simple mechanics for combat but with challenging bosses, which require learning their patterns in order to defeat them. According to the community, it is the most accessible game from From Software, thanks to the many options available to make the game easier, which is why it has attracted so many players. The game has a lot to explore, and it’s not as tedious thanks to the inclusion of a mount, small text fragments that tell the story, memorable characters, and plenty of weapons and builds to try.
Why do I want this game?
For me, Elden Ring holds a special place as it combines everything I love about the Souls series while offering something completely new. After completing Dark Souls Remastered, I became addicted to the satisfaction of finishing a challenging game and helping others along the way, especially with the toughest bosses. I’ve explored every corner of that world, and now I’m eager to dive into Elden Ring.
I really want to relive the feeling I had with the first Dark Souls. I would be thrilled to explore every area of the map. I also love to platinum the games I really enjoy, and Elden Ring would be one of the best platinums I could have.
Why can’t I buy it?
Unfortunately, I cannot afford the game. I live in Argentina, where the cost of buying games is extremely high compared to the average income. A game here can cost as much as half of the minimum wage, making it almost impossible to purchase. In my country, people often have to choose between buying a game or covering basic needs like food, and in my case, it’s simply out of reach. That’s why I’m humbly asking for the opportunity to experience this incredible game.

I’m here today with a hopeful heart and a big request for Path of Exile 2. Ever since it was first announced, I’ve been absolutely captivated by everything about it. The darker tone, the revamped graphics, and especially the deeper customization options — it all feels like the perfect evolution of an already legendary game.
For me, action RPGs have always been more than just games. They’re worlds I can escape to, challenges I can overcome, and puzzles I can master. There's something special about diving into an immersive world where every choice matters, every battle is intense, and every victory feels earned. I can already picture myself experimenting with new skill combos, chasing rare loot, and facing off against powerful bosses with that adrenaline-pumping rush that only a game like this can deliver.
Unfortunately, money has been a bit tight lately, and affording new releases like this one just isn’t an option for me right now. That’s why I’m turning to this incredible community, where I’ve seen kindness and generosity on display time and time again. I know it’s a big ask, and I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t something I genuinely cared about. It’s not just another game to me — it’s a journey I’m itching to begin.
If someone out there is willing to grant this wish, I promise it wouldn’t be taken for granted. It would be a gift I’d appreciate every time I log in, every time I level up, and every time I face a challenge head-on. Your generosity would turn a wish into reality, and I’d be endlessly grateful.
Even if no one is able to help, I’m still happy to be part of a community that understands the magic of gaming. Just being able to share this request and connect with others who love gaming as much as I do is special in its own way.
Thank you so much for reading. I hope you’re all staying safe, happy, and, of course, having fun with whatever games you’re playing right now.
All hail Mother Lilith!
Hello all.
I had to think long and hard how to phrase this request, because I'm not in the habit of asking for freebies. It will probably take all of 5 minutes to read, but hopefully it resonates with someone. So here goes, and I hope it finds a sympathetic ear. I'm really pleading here.
My previous attempts were not successful, who knows why. Maybe I am not eloquent enough, maybe I didn't sell it hard enough. Someone mentioned that it might be because it was on BattleNet, and gifting on there is not so easy. So I left it for a while. I want to try again, and maybe this time I'll do better. Plus the Steam winter sale is now on, so maybe that will help. And it's the season of giving. At least I hope so. Again, I'm really asking with my metaphorical hat in hand.
I've had my eye on this since it was announced, and would really appreciate it if someone could find it in their heart to gift it to me. I've played Diablo since the first one came out. Unfortunately, in my country blizzard games are priced in Euro and they never have sales (or what sales they do have are still outside our price range because there's no regional pricing, even when the game is listed on Steam). Our exchange rate is horrendous so $70 is a scary price to pay, even when one is a professional since the pay is in the local currency, not euro or dollars, and our pay parity is nowhere near the US or Europe. I'd be lying if I said cost is not a huge factor in asking for this. Even with Steam, the regional pricing is not really a thing, so you don't see deep discounts like on Warner games for example. (I buy those a couple years after release, at good prices. So I'm behind everyone else, big deal) I also realise that the game at full price is a a lot to ask of anyone, which is why I'm hoping the Steam sale might make a difference.
So why Diablo? Only because it's the greatest series ever made! I get that Diablo 3 had some issues, but I loved it. I played through it dozens of times. I mostly like playing solo because I'm a bit of an introvert, but have played in parties where I just got thrown in by the server. And yes, Diablo Immortal had no love lost on the fact that it was a mobile game, and had....issues....but it's still Diablo. I love the fact that you can just lose yourself in fighting demons and just forget all your worries. I love finding that build that is just right and let's you mow through the hordes of hell! And I love that at the centre of it all is a message that hope is never lost, even in the depths of hell itself.
So look, I may not be the Lord of Terror himself, so I can't compel anyone to do anything, or possess someone to make him do my bidding, all I can do is ask nicely, please, do a Nephalem a solid?
Either way, thanks for at least reading the request. Nowadays people dismiss others without even listening, so it means a lot. Regardless of whether anyone gifts it, have a good festive season with your loved ones! Preferably not in Hell😁😄

I am here to request
Dead by Daylight is more than just a game; it’s a thrilling and immersive experience that combines horror, strategy, and teamwork. Whether you’re a fan of horror movies, enjoy strategic gameplay, or just want to experience the adrenaline rush of surviving against a relentless killer, DbD has something to offer. With its unique gameplay, diverse characters, constant updates, and engaging community, there’s no better time to dive into the Fog and experience the chilling excitement of Dead by Daylight. So grab your flashlight, watch your back, and get ready for a heart-pounding adventure that you won’t soon forget.
Dead By Daylight, despite all of it's flaws, it's currently the king of asymmetrical games.
Other games that tried a similar asymmetrical formula, even the ones that I genuinely though we're way more fun than Dead By Daylight (Friday the 13th for example) didn't managed to survive, either by lack of support or other external reasons.
Not only that, but Dead By Daylight is the only game that provides a Fortnite experience to horror, giving players the possibility to be Sadako, Albert Wesker, Ash Williams, Nicolas Cage, etc.
Fun is subjective and with the huge amount of perk and killers there's a huge amount of combinations and play styles you could choose to have a fun time playing
I like trying different Killers and seeing the differences in their playstyles and personalities. I think being in a role where I can provide adversity to a team of people is interesting and fun. And in general the things that people have issues with - toxicity, supposedly bad design decisions, etc. - just don't bother me all that much. Like I just focus on my games and whether I'm having fun or not, and I do .
Hello everyone <3
I've been obsessed with Mouthwashing since I played the demo back in february but have been having some financial struggles this year. My father unfortunately passed away a few days ago and I would really like to be able to dive into this game I've been wanting for a while.
It's been very complicated days, I'm still in utter shock and looking for things to take my mind off of things now that all the administrative stuff is on process to be taken care of.
I am an avid fan of horror, especially pixel and low poly. I also remember playing the first game of the creator of this one, which was called "How fish is made". I loved the atmosphere, the weirdness. I really enjoyed it and was super stocked when I saw they were releasing a new one.
I remember first finding out about it, not via the steam page of their older game, but the EEK 3 of 2023. For those who don't know, it's a showcase of indie horror games, hosted by the same guy who puts together the Haunted Ps1 Demo Discs, which are free collections of demos and small games from a discord group.
I absolutely love these demo discs, if you're a fan of retro 3D, you should definitely check it out. They're pretty much all love letters to this era of gaming. Most are horror or at the very least weird.
Diving back into these demo discs has also helped a bit dealing with the grief, having something to think about other than loss.
I'm really looking forward to play through Mouthwashing. I have a couple of friends who have it and they have been telling my ear off on how I should get it. I find it funny and cute since I'm the one who recommended it a while back, they're just baffled I haven't fully played it yet after recommending it.
I can't wait to be able to fully discuss it with them too, since I only played the demo yet. I don't know what my christmas will be yet. I don't know if I will be with friends, or in one of my sibling's family or alone. I've been leaning with maybe spending it alone this year, doing things I like, including playing video games I've been looking forward to, since I feel like I need some peace and quiet at this time
I'm in France and my store is in France, thought I'd mention in case it makes any difference. Thank you for reading and happy holidays <3

2nd attempt
Hey everyone, over the past few weeks last month (November), I’ve been saving up money to buy a game for myself as a birthday gift. I actually managed to do it, but something happened that deeply affected my family, especially my mom. My aunt, who was like a second mother to me and my siblings, passed away just days before my birthday. She was my mom's best friend, and the bond they shared was so strong that we always considered her part of our immediate family. She was incredibly involved in our lives, stepping in whenever there was an emergency or when our parents couldn’t be around.
Although I had saved up for the game, I ended up giving that money to my aunt's family.
It wasn't a lot, but it was all I could offer in the moment.
It's been years since I last saw her because she lived far away, and I had to stay at my dorms for my studies in years (College Student). Since the funeral happened during the week of my finals and my birthday (Saturday in November), my parents traveled for the funeral while I stayed behind to study and celebrate my birthday alone at my dorm. It was a difficult time, but I managed to move forward.
Now it’s December, and the desire to get that game still lingers in my heart. A week after finals, our classes ended, but the allowance I received wasn’t enough to save up for the game. It looks like I won’t be able to save enough until the next semester starts. Normally, I wouldn’t ask for this kind of help, but since it’s the holiday season, I thought maybe someone might understand. That said, it’s okay if I don’t get it this year—I can always try to save up again when classes resume.
Hey fellowship of GoG, I hope everyone is doing fine and getting ready for the holidays!
I turn to you guys once more in the hopes of getting my request for Hitman World of Assassination fulfilled.
This game needs no introduction, it's a cultural phenomenon that gave us one of the most iconic characters in pop culture for the past few decades, Agent 47, Bald Assassin, Mr Rieper the master of all trades, jack of none.
Why do I want the game?
I really miss playing this game, I used to play the first 2 games on PS4 a couple years ago until I lost access to it, I miss how you're dropped into a mission with a level so beautifully handcrafted that you just believe it's a real location, you get your briefing from a lovely lady called Diana, you acquire your target and you have this whole playground to yourself, do as you please.
The hitman series has always been part of my life, I remember when I was just a kid I borrowed a disc for Hitman 2 from a neighbor and I was able to run it on my crappy pc at the time, and I just fell in love with the game, I remember being mind blown by some of the mechanics of this game, kid me thought that changing your clothes as a means of disguise.
It being part of my childhood shaped up my tastes in games and gave me an experience I couldn't find in a lot of other games except for games like Dishonored, Splinter Cell in a way and some Assassin's Creed titles like Unity for example, what they did with this franchise really showed us what a well crafted game, with so many possibilities, looked like and I'm really happy I got to see that at a young age.
The opening level that served as a tutorial in Hitman 2 is still fresh in my mind, I used to shoot at those melons as target practice and it was just funny as hell (I was a simple kid, easy to please)
Fast forward a few years and I was able to get my hands on a copy of Blood Money, an iconic entry in the assassin's portfolio, I remember that game being amazing, my favorite mission was A New Life and I was happy to see that there was a mission that was a kind of homage to it in the World of Assassination called Whittleton Creek this is making me very nostalgic and I cannot wait to play this one.
I can't wait to lay my hands on this game and be able to rp as the most efficient and, most important of, creative assisin we've ever witnessed. On top of that the game gives us so many tools and paths to undertake our tasks that it creates so many possibilities and that's why the new format works amazingly for replayability.
There was also a recent update that added a mode called Freelancer which seems to add even more content to a game that was already amazing.
All of this combined with the plethora of ways you could tackle missions has me brainstorming ideas and creative ways to get the job done, even if I have to admit I'm not the most creative one out there, but it's still funny to fail and learn to fine-tune what I could apply.
There's even a sniper mode included that is akin to the hitman sniper games that we could find on phone a few years ago, of course it's way more polished for this version of the game.
Why can't I buy it myself ?
Believe me when I say I have been trying to find a job and I would have loved to be able to get this for myself but I still haven't landed a single interview and I have been going through a rough patch for a while now and unfortunately that severely limits my ability to spend money on games, especially at this price.
I would be immensely grateful towards the person that decides to help me here.
The person helping me isn't just offering a game, this gesture goes way beyond that, it's helping me go through something, helping me cope with my situation a lot better.
Thank you for reading, have some water, stay healthy and happy holidays!
