I'm interested in buying this small collection with a gameboy and a few games. The photo has these three games that I cant make up. Does anyone have information of these?
Sellers pics, already putted them away and cba to grab them again
I recently purchased an AGS-001 specifically for the frontlit display (I already had a backlit modded AGB and wanted the old gbc feel), and while it works perfectly fine with the internals looking almost new, the screen has a seemingly permanent vertical blue line. I tried reseating the ribbon cable multiple times but it looks to be an issue with the display or cable themselves. I've seen that some sites are selling AGS-001 screens that are supposedly reproductions, but I wondered if anyone had any experience with them (build quality/performance wise). If not I'll just stick with this screen as it works adequately otherwise
Working on restoring a gameboy pocket and am looking for relatively cheap options to replace the screen would also be interested in buying a second oem one as well
So all my life, starting with n64 I have been a Nintendo and Zelda fan. As a kid, I was never allowed to have a gameboy because my mom thought (probably correctly) that it would make me play too much videogames. I have played every home console Zelda title multiple times, now I want to play all the gameboy titles, but I wanna do it on original hardware (as opposed to on my switch)
What is the minimum set of gameboys I need to buy to achieve this? Keeping in mind retro compatibility of some consoles and/or if any title was rereleased in a next gen console.
Also I really like modding consoles, and it seems like gameboy modding is pretty fun. So knowing about good models to mod would be great too.
Consider I know very little about gameboys
Been looking for ages, is there an official gameboy light bag? I'm wanting a carrying case that says it's for the gameboy light, y'know? I would appreciate some help with it
I genuinely love playing the FPGBC. I know it’s not prefect but it honestly feels like stepping into the past with while staying in the present. Post your FPGBC!
As stated in the title, when I try to play my copy of Japanese red or green, it’ll delete the save file. they save just fine on one Gameboy but when I move them to the other one, the save is gone. I’m not upset (even though I had just caught mewtwo on green) but I would like to know why this is happening. The batteries (at least on green) have been replaced (I’m assuming they also replaced it on red but I’ll check).
This game is just as terrible as I remember it being. Still, I’ve been chasing this relic from my childhood for years and today I found it.
The game is a platformer based on the 7UP Spot mascot.
I got this Gameboy off eBay, I knew it was broken before buying, got it for $20. Opened it up and saw this, is this repairable/replaceable? If not, it's no loss to me, everything else seems to be in good condition and I could use spare parts, especially since I have two more Gameboys that are in need of repair coming in.
without a game it’s the normal black box but when I put a game in it’s this. I know about the horizontal lines but why does it take some random pixels out aswell? also the R is perfectly in tact so idk is it the game?
I’m looking for parts for my gameboy dmg and the power switch is one of them but I either find all of them to be blue or red as a way to customize your gameboy or when they say original colors the d pad is black the buttons are the red but the power switch instead of being gray it’s black? Does anybody know why or a place to buy a gray power switch?
I have an EZ-Flash for GBA, and an Everdrive X7 for GB/B games and I love love love these cartridges! I have a modded GBA and an Analogue pocket that I use for said cartridges, but I'm wondering if there's some kind of cartridge reader out there that will work with ED/EZF so I can seamlessly transition from handheld to PC. Yes, I know I could just load up retroarch if I felt like playing on my pc, but I want to avoid the extra step of transferring my saves over and back every time. Does such a magical, mythical device exist?
So I've cleaned my motherboard and the gold contacts on my gameboy advance SP. However, only one of my cartridges work which is the cartoon network collection of episodes. I bought metroid prime to relive childhood memories and sadly I can't get passed the intro without it messing up. What can I do to further troubleshoot my problem?
So... given that all the tech in Gameboy consoles and game cartridges were outdated on arrival, why can't (or why aren't) better reproductions being made? I figure it should be possible to reproduce at least the Gen. I and Gen. II Pokémon games completely identically to an authentic cartridge. But instead all repros are, are super cheap and often glitchy ROMs.
What’s so special about this SP?
I just received an ezflash definitive edition that had a not smooth edge (or indentation) of the plastic near the middle board pins. I tried to smooth it out with a sharp thin object before i plug it on my GBA as i feared it could damage it. It works great but i still fear it can damage the GBA the next times. Does you ezflash DE came with this problem too? Do you think its normal? Would you try to open it up and try to smooth the plastic with a sandpaper or something? Or perhaps i could just 3D print a new shell? I did not want to return this as i mistakenly ordered it abroad and had to pay additional custom taxes. The red arrow indicates the indentation zone and the green pen the smooth zone on the picture
Still stoked to own a GB Camera tho
