My partner saw this bundle advertised on Facebook Marketplace and messaged me to see if I was interested. They wanted £60, so I said yes, but try and get it for £50. When I got home from work, it was waiting for me, and she had paid £50. Very happy with that. Never owned a GBC before. I have my original DMG from childhood, and I had a Game Boy Advance, although stupidly sold it. I mostly use my Analogue Pocket nowadays, but it's nice to use original hardware too, and my DMG has seen better days, but this works perfectly. I already own Super Mario Land, so I will sell that on.

Can someone who understands about cheat codes explain?
For example if I wanted 2x exp multiplier (assuming it's a multiplier), what would I put in those values?
Hi. So I bought this Japanese copy of pokemon sapphire a few weeks ago now. When it arrived I took a quick look at the board and noted it looked pretty bad, but decided I'd deal with it when I replaced the battery seen as it was dry anyway, and just played it a bit seen as it worked fine. Eventually the save got deleted, then after that the game just wouldn't start at all.
I took a closer look at the board today and the pins on the chips looked much worse than I'd noticed, and after removing the battery that was on it (definitely replaced in the past by someone), it has also effected the chip underneath the battery. My guess is that the battery was soldered badly enough that its almost re-flowed the pins? Or could they of just degraded? I'm wondering if this is worth me trying to save or not, and if so, how? I'm not particularly confident with soldering at all, and wasn't planning on doing anything more than the battery, but clearly that isn't going to fix anything.
Due to how the solder on the battery looked (very spread out, much further than the pads but not reaching the chip pins), the damage that was visible from the start, and the behavior when the game was being used, I am confident that the damage was there before I touched it with an iron.
Not sure if I want to keep the OG label or just switch it out.
Big fan over here. Trying to collect physical copies of all the games.
Started the Tad Boy Color build and seem to have issues with the Gameboy boot sequence.
I'm following Froggos guide on github and I've gotten as far as installing the audio circuitry. After i installed the CPU and RAM I was having an issue with the boot screen having a black background (possibly hiding the nintendo logo). After reflowing some pins on the CPU and the X1 chip it booted like normal. Then after installing the cartridge reader, the black boot screen issue reappeared so I checked for shorts. I honestly don't remember what fixed it this time, but it ended up testing sat again and loaded up a game. So I moved on and installed the audio circuitry and the black boot screen is back! Except now when I connect the speaker, it'll start the boot and cut out mid way through with a bit of sound from the speaker (see linked video with sound). Seemed like some sort of short so I did a continuity check between every chip pin for the CPU, RAM, and audio.
If anyone has any suggestions or knowledge on the boot sequence and what would make it change the background color, I'd greatly appreciate it. I'm willing to look through a TBC schematic and do some multimeter checks. All I've got is a GBC one. I'm not trying to replace any IC chips until I can definitively say they're the issue.
Hello all,
I’ve recently been trying to get back into my childhood and acquire a gameboy color, as nostalgia as hit hard lately and I never really got closure on my gameboy color that I forgot on the street when I was young.
I have tried searching for websites to buy a gameboy color, but I’m afraid I can’t identify any good or legit places, or where these aren’t modded, as I can’t afford any of those modded ones.
I wonder if anyone would know any legit European website where a gameboy color could be purchased for a fair price, possibly even any places that would have sales from time to time that I could take advantage of.
I know this isn’t probably exactly easy to find, as I even couldn’t, but just wondering if anyone here would maybe know something like this.
Appreciate any information that could be given. Thank you all.
Ive had this one done but it's a Cherish Ball for your cartidges. Someone had requested to see it from my last post so here it is! If there's any other you guys would like to see let me know!
EDIT : solved by FinancialListen4300. After saving, you exit the game through the option "exit" in the L + R menu before turning the console off. It seems to commit the save this way.
Hi everyone,
I am using an EZ Flash Omega cartridge, and I can't save on the ROM hack of Pokemon Polished Crystal. I am using the regular in-game save game option. Everytime I turn on the game, there is only a "New Game" option. I patched a Pokemon Crystal ROM with the Polished crystal modification, and the games runs normally, it is just that the save part doesn't work. What I did so far:
- I followed instructions on the EZ Flash website to install the proper firmware
- I checked that the SD card is formatted in FAT32 (it is a SanDisk 32 Gb card)
- I waited 10 seconds after saving before turning off
I checked that there is a .esv save file in the SAVER folder, so it looks like the game is saving properly. I tried with another game (Warioland 3) and I have the same problem, the .esv file is also here.
Do I need to use an alternative save method ? I see that there is also a save option with the menu opened with the L + R buttons, but I cannot save on multiple games at the same time.
i got the GBC today and the blue GBA is going to be reshelled and ips modded!
