Be specific with your title. Posts with titles such as "Mining Advice" or "ASUS GTX1070?" will be removed. Please retitle.
Asking about general ROI / "Is x Worth It?" posts will be removed unless it hasn't been asked in a while, generally a week or two, at the discretion of moderators.
Same as #2 for asking general "What Should I Mine?" See sidebar for links, including profitability calculators.
Novice troubleshooting questions should first consult the sidebar, notably the many guides and the EtherMining WIKI link first. If your question is easily answered there then your question will be removed.
All troubleshooting questions must include your pertinent rig information, including but not limited to these 7 factors: GPU, motherboard, PSU, OS, risers, mining software, overclocking specs.
No Buying/Selling.
See Simple Questions Thread. Do not just post a list of components asking for suggestions. Do not just give a budget asking for suggestions.
If you are promoting a certain website, coin, pool, etc and have affiliation with that product, please disclose it. You will otherwise be banned for supposed shilling at the discretion of moderators.
Please do your own legwork before looking for handouts. We are a helpful community but are not the place for hand-holding new miners through every step of the process. See the multitude of intro guides for that. Similarly, simple questions belong in the "Simple Questions" monthly thread.
As always, keep posts professional, civil and relevant. Extensive trolling, profanities and trash posts will not be tolerated.

Soo guys. Would you purchase about 1500 Rebtech 470 8GB for approx 1000USD in total, with motherboard, psu and cables? Maby just to resell? Would it be easy to resell? I see these are profitable today to mine with
Hi guys,
With this black Friday sales, I like to build a new PC with 2K gaming, with ultra-wide monitor.
My question is whether the 4070 Super or 7900 xt are the better options. They are about the same price with the sales.
For raw power, 7900 xt should output at least 15% more performance.
However, I often heard that AMD graphic cards would have optimizing issues.
What would you recommend?
Hey all,
So I'm currently running two 6800 amd and was thinking about wanting to add this 2060 nvidia I had laying around. But if teamredminer is for amd and trex is for nvidia how do you cross platform these any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks.
This thread is for simple questions that don't warrant their own thread (although we strongly suggest checking the sidebar and searching before posting!).
Examples of questions:
What should I mine?
Is this build good enough to mine?
Which PSU should I get for _____ GPU's?
Please remember that we're here to HELP you, not do it for you.

My dad is about to get a batch of 50 dell workstation pcs from his work, all of them about 20 years old. I figure that, after I'm done with college, I'll probably need some kind of keep-afloat money. What cards to i put in them to turn a profit? Literally any card? Or is there a threshold at a certain hash per kw that i should know about? Also, it's debatable if most of them have functioning wifi and i doubt a router would like having 50 devices on it, so what kind of isp has routers that have that kind of capacity?
I have 2 rigs with 10 RTX 2060 Super each, each rig consumes around 1.5kWh (including hardware). I have been using with NiceHash and HiveOS before, wanted to start fresh since NiceHash went into a scam route, and HiveOS introduced paid fees for APIs.
For the past 3-4 days I have set up a HiveOS (free cuz 2 rigs only) and Kryptex. I have check on GPU calculators that the best coin and algorithm for RTX 2060S is CFX Octopus with 47-49MH/s, which is close to the actal rate that I get. I connected smart plugs to the rigs to monitor the actual power consumption (and remote reboot if needed). So far Kryptex shows $6.95 per day and $215.42 per month
I've got some questions:
I've seen many people saying GPU mining is dead. Considering my electricity rate, ts it dead in my case? GPU calculator says I will have a profit of ±2$/day with CFX Octopus, which seems to be true at the moment.
HiveOS is free for me cuz I only have 2 rigs. Does it have any other mining fees? If we only consuder hashrate, ss it worth switching to, for example, linux + t-rex miner?
I have heard people say to learn to write a custom .bat file to get 30% more. Do they mean just downloading a miner and running it like ./t-rex <...args>?
I dont really care about current profits, my plan is to accumulate bitcoin for the next 5 years or so
Hello.
I’ve got a single 3090 founders in my work PC and find it a good way to introduce some warmth to the office in winter.
With NH not working out. What platform would you recommend I use?
I’m a total novice when it comes to GPU mining so easier the better.
When I was back in college we used to make our own clusters for computational modeling. Does anyone know of any University that could use a donation of GPU’s? I have my old ETH rigs with some 580X’s 1060’s and 1080’s
HI ALL-- I ran x5 rigs mining ETH at over 1GH. It was like tending to a temperamental garden, every day there was care and feeding and watering to keep everything alive. Been over two years since ETH went PoS and I shutdown and disassembled my rigs. Point blank, I MISS MINING.
Was thinking of reassembling the rigs to mine something for fun. Doesn't have to make money, but would be nice if it covered costs and had some potential upside.
Any suggestions?

Hello, sorry for the newb like question, but that's what I am.
I have my PC setup for gaming, but, I'm not really using it all that often. I have a 4070 with a13th gen i7. I don't pay for electric in my house, so I'm not worried about power consumption and losing money that way.
My rig sits in my basement, which usually is about 50⁰-60⁰F. I have a decent cooler for everything as well, so I'm not too worried about overheating or anything.
Would I stand to gain anything by attempting to mine with my current setup? I don't exactly have the money to invest in a whole epyc setup or multiple GPUs setup through SLI bridge. I'd be fine leaving it running non stop since I'm not worrying about power bills.
Thanks.
I'm trying to find a tutorial on mining ALEO but profit switching to BTC or a different token. I'm assuming it's not a thing yet since google isn't coming up with much but figured you guys would know for sure.
With the recent Nicehash suicide, I am mining on Kryptex with the hope of finding a replacement.
My thoughts so far:
I am interested, how do you mine anfter Nicehash self destructed?
Trying to use Easyminer, money maker mode on a gaming laptop. Getting an error that no gpu is detected or drivers aren't present. Could this be because my laptop has integrated graphics AND a laptop gpu chip? Running an Acer Nitro anv15-41
I have the below 4 gpu all brand new, what can I do with them? Can I mine with them? If so, is it worth it?
Amd Radeon Rx 6800 Amd Radeon rx 5700 xt Msi Ventus 3x 3070 Evga GeForce rtx 3070
Hey so I got a 4070 and haven't mined for a long time since it's unprofitable. Is it a good idea to mine now during the winter to help heat house? Or more efficient to use just space heaters and help preserve the life of my GPU?
Hello guys, I want ask you, if to use 3 cards like 1660 Super, with total hashrate equal to single better GPU like 3060, does make sense or has any kind of advantage.
Sorry, I'm not expert about.

Mining has become an increasingly specialized field.
I miss the PoW era of ETH.
I'm thinking of buying some equipment, maybe 50 series or maybe an asic or two... or maybe just investing
But im having trouble deciding.
there is sometime fundamentally missing that no reddit has answered for me yet. Is alt season a guarantee? When is it a good time to sell or at least stop buying/mining btc, and instead mine/buy ALT? is it when btc tanks? or when btc stalls?
Here is the thing: How do we know if btc is gonna rocket past 100k... with difficulty mining and possible more splits... or if it will suddenly reverse and sputter down to 30k a pop again?
vs mining or investing in ETH,DOGE, etc... sure some are memes but they are BIG fueled by Elon and his cult. So when... is it a bad time to invest in those? when is it a prime time to invest in those?
In your opinion what’s the best motherboard?
I have been mining rvn with hiveos for some time, my hashrate never got up to the 55MH hashrate.no and whattomine.com show for my gpu... never understood why either... Gigabyte Rtx 3080ti Eagle
anyways this week suddenly i can only seem to mine between 20 and 25MH. Ive tried every overclock setting... expanded my gpu max temps... still my screeen keeps looking like this! I installed a new 1300W psu, figuring that would fix it, but no change at all.
any help? im at a complete loss...
You can trade it on hash key Global not coinbase. Coinbase support couldn't tell me why I couldn't deposit it and I had to try all available platforms one by one untill hash key worked. Hopefully this saves Canadians alot of time
