Zcash is the first permission-less, decentralized, and open sourced cryptocurrency that can fully protect the privacy of user wallet holdings and transactions, while providing an encrypted memo character field, using zero-knowledge cryptography.
Zcash is viewed as an improvement over other cryptocurrencies, such as Bitcoin or Dogecoin, which expose the user's complete wallet balance and payments history to the on the public ledger.
Zcash is the first zero knowledge crypto protocol.
Zcash offers total payment confidentiality, while still maintaining a decentralized network using a public blockchain. Unlike Bitcoin, Zcash's private transactions hide the sender, recipient, and value of transactions on the blockchain. Only those with the correct view key can see the contents. Users have complete control and can opt-in to provide others with their view key at their discretion.

Zcash is a privacy preserving digital currency. It is the first blockchain to leverage a novel technology called Zero-knowledge proofs to enable privacy and selective transparency. Zero-knowledge proofs allow transactions to be verified without revealing the sender, receiver or transaction amount. Selective disclosure features within Zcash allow a user to share some transaction details, for purposes of compliance or audit.
Development work on Zcash began in 2013 by Johns Hopkins professor Matthew Green and some of his graduate students. The development was completed by the for-profit Zerocoin Electric Coin Company, LLC, led by Zooko Wilcox, a Colorado-based computer security specialist and cypherpunk. Over time, this company rebranded and converted to a non-profit org now known as the Electric Coin Company (ECC). Zcash development now occurs with support from ECC employees, the Zcash Foundation, and many community members through community elected funding streams that originate from ongoing Zcash mining rewards.

Simple question : Zecwallet doesn’t seems to work anymore and Zhashi only allows importing seed phrases.

It's been quite a while since I've done anything with zcash, but I just restored my seed phrase to the new zashi wallet.
I'm trying to receive some funds (from coinbase) and it doesn't allow me to send to a unified address.
Last thing I remember there were transparent addresses (t address) and shielded addresses (z address).
Is "unified" address simply the new z-address? Any particular reason why coinbase won't send to this address, or am I doing something wrong?

I created a Zashi wallet and sent myself about 0.2 ZEC. But it won't let me send. Shows available balance as zero. Can someone tell me why? There's a screenshot of my wallet in this post: https://x.com/caincurrency/status/1833746267551519011
As title says... to my knowledge and a lot of what ive read about this wallet, it truly didnt seem to be a scam. Ive seen a few people with similar issues, but ive also seen a lot of people with success and that like it.
I first opened this wallet probably going on almost a year now, and Ive had a small amount of ZEC in there which I have never been able to transfer out and i have no idea why. Ive tried all the basic/most recommended troubleshooting methods.. to no avail. At this point, im genuinely shocked that the crypto is still in the account lol. I've tried contacting someone that has something to do with this project... never have heard anything. I wrote one last email earlier today (which wasnt too harsh) although I did say at the end that they might as well just take the money lol.. Im just very frustrated.
Ive attached a video to this post. You can see that in my attempts to transfer out the ZEC im even using a different Nighthawk wallet to try and receive the funds. Not sure what to do at this point.
